Big Eye Siamese Balinese Kitten Cat Painting + Art Prints & ACEO Prints! Bennett Slater ART OF CHARACTER at the Corey Helford Gallery, CLOSED Show...

"Make Time to Cuddle" Original Painting by Lisabella Russo Sold, Additional Animal Art Here

My featured painting is "Make Time to Cuddle."  This kitten has huge blue eyes, sometimes my animals tend towards realism, but this one has a surreal lowbrow feel.  I follow my heart with each painting in which direction to go.  This original big eye Siamese Balinese kitten painting is sold, but art prints and LE ACEO prints are available on my website year round!

Most of my art is also available on my website at lisabellarusso.com; however, on the first Tuesday of the month, I like to put some art prints and LE ACEO prints on ebay at a lower promotional rate for the duration of the auctions.  I'm trying something different and letting them loop around for a few turns...  This month, my theme is cats and dogs, you may see them here.

Bennett Slater ART OF CHARACTER (Closed Show)
Corey Helford Gallery
JUNE 29 - AUGUST 3, 2019

One of the things that I love about the Corey Helford Gallery is that they tend to host a multitude of shows at once.  I went to see their Hello Kitty exhibit (photos pending) and was pleasantly surprised to see the work of Bennett Slater in the group show "Art of Character."  I've seen this artist's work before in various shows, but this was my first time seeing so many together, I love the lowbrow surreal animals in his works.  In this series there are dogs, a duck, a deer, and a cat.  However, his art has a very unique conceptually compelling take on these.  This series is entitled "Goody Gumbdrops" and in his own words "There is no such thing as a simple life, but the desire to achieve one drives so many of our base impulses."  His works are oils on wood and juxtapose traditional techniques with melting perspectives.
