Here is a photograph Alex Ledante took of me at the Whittier Art Gallery with "Estrella," my original tiny framed Latina gothic big eye fairy angel painting.  It is part of the Miniatures and Small Works show.  The challenge was to use one of their frames to do a painting for.  If I get a chance, I'd like to go back to the show and spend more time looking at other artist's pieces, I wasn't feeling well, so we didn't stay that long.

Gothic Latina Fairy Angel Big Eye Art Original Painting Work in Progress WIP for a Tiny Frame + Show Info...

This is the last work in progress view that I scanned of this big eye fairy angel maiden for the tiny frame before I completed her.  This gothic Latina beauty measures 6 1/2"x 6" framed, the art is approximately 3 1/2"x 4" with an image area of 3 3/8"x3" and is currently hanging at the "Miniature and Small Works Show" at the Whittier Gallery.

The reception is tomorrow from 3 pm to 6 pm and I'll be there at around 4.  I've been a bit under the weather so I won't be there long, but I'll be there for a little while.  I'm looking forward to seeing what other artists painted for their tiny frames!  I'll try to take some pictures, but if it's too hectic, I'll go back another day.  I'll be wearing a blue cameo necklace and I'd love to see you if you're close enough to make it to the show...

Artist Rose Adare's Burn for the Arts Show This Saturday August 15th!

Rose Adare is an artist I am very fortunate to know, she's an incredible artist and an amazing person.  She'll be hosting a fundraiser show for her Restraint and Revolution art tour this Saturday!  The Burn for the Arts Show Saturday August 15th is going to be fantastic, all of her art from the series will be there and there will be live fire performances!  If you're in the California Bay Area or can be, I highly recommend going.  I wish I could be there!  Tickets for the show are available here.  Her facebook page is Adare and her website is here.  Even if you can't make the show, please check out her art, it is so gorgeous!
