YNS DT Dare - Shades of Spring (Froggie Friend)

It's time for the March Your Next Stamp Design Team Dare challenge.

Each month the design team is given a special challenge to help show off the new release stamps and dies. The challenge may be seasonal or technique bases, but whatever it may be, you will see a lot of fun projects.

This month our Designer challenge is called SHADES OF SPRING!

Shades of spring for me, means vibrant and colourful. I used the new Froggie Friend stamp, along with the Little Ledges die, Happy Spring paper and the Enchanted Garden gumdrops to create a fun shaker card. I also used the Mini Popcorn box to create a cute little treat holder, which would work as a party favour or thank you gift for someone special!

Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog and look for the March DT Dare post. Leave a comment on that post for the chance to WIN a stamp set of your choice!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Your Next Stamp - February Feature: Margaritas!!!

Welcome to the February Your Next Stamp feature post. Each month the design team uses specific stamps, dies or themes to create projects that will hopefully inspire you.

You will want to check out the feature post each month at the YNS blog because in addition to inspiration, there is also a chance to WIN a stamp set of your choice.

This month our theme is to create something inspired by Margaritas!

I create this brightly coloured thank you shaker card. Now the inspiration for my card may not be too obvious in using the Large Stitched Apple Diehowever below I give you a little insight.

Other Supplies: Lawn Fawn Polka in the Meadow paper

Here is a look at some of the inspiration for my card:

First we have our traditional margaritas. I love the bright green!

I could have done a tropical card or something beachy, however I wanted to challenge myself a bit more. I also wanted to make a card, I would get use of in the next while. For me thank you cards (next to birthday cards) are my most used and I always like having them around, just in case. Apples do work for the margarita and here is a look! I don't drink a lot, but an apple margarita is one I would love to try. Check out this recipe here.

Head over to the YNS blog to see all of the Design Team members sharing projects for this month's feature. Leave a comment on the blog post for the November Feature and you will have a chance to win a prize. One lucky crafter will WIN a YNS stamp set of their choice.

Your Next Stamp September Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Your Next Stamp September new release blog hop.

This month we are enjoying a WICKED release that features a lot of fabulous Halloween stamps and dies, more Silly Monsters, and some deliciously fun coffee themed stamps and dies.

I love creating Halloween cards and projects. As the kids are getting ready for back to school we also start working ahead on a few seasonal cards for their teachers and do some planning on our Halloween projects for their classmates. For my first card I used HALLOWEEN PHOEBE stamp and die set along with elements from the SPOOKY SCENE die set to create a shaker card.

I also like to decorate the inside of the card to coordinate with the outside  I stamped sweet Phoebe in a coordinating colour and added some left over pattern paper along with the sentiment from this set.

Here is a look at the new stamp and die sets used for this card.

My second card I used the darling WADDLES TRICK OR TREAT stamp. I coloured up the cute pirate Waddles and used the Echo Park's A Pirate's Life to complete the pirate themed Halloween card.

Here is a look at the new stamp used for this card.

In celebration of this month's release, Karen has a fabulous deal for you!

Thanks for hopping along with us today. Remember to leave a comment on each of the blogs as you go. There is a fabulous prize available to one lucky stamper ($25 YNS gift certificate). All of the blogs are listed below. The hop continues until September 8th at midnight. Come back and join us on September 9th to see winner from the blog hop comments and check out the latest DESIGN TEAM DARE!

Have a great day, happy hopping!

Your Next Stamp (DT Dare)/Little Red Wagon (Make an Impression)

Today I am sharing a card for the May DT Dare challenge at Your Next Stamp and our weekly challenge at Little Red Wagon.

This month at YOUR NEXT STAMP, our Design Team (DT) Dare challenge was to create a project that included stitching and Gumdrops (enamel dots). After a brief moment of panic, I realized that sewing is not always required to achieve stitching. An amazing die set that gives the look of stitching lines, will also work and save you A LOT of time!

For this week's LITTLE RED WAGON challenge, Carolyn is the boss, and she would like us to MAKE AN IMPRESSION. By that, she is looking for some dry embossing on your project. Dry embossing is not something I do often, so this was fun to work it into my card.

I created a fun shaker card using some confetti I've had in my stash for a few years. I used the YNS Stitched Rectangle die to create my shaker box frame, layering it with coloured cardstock for a pop of colour. In addition to my embossed stitching lines, I added some embossing inside my shaker box.

To decorate the shaker box I used the cute A+ Owl Banner stamp and added glittered Grape Punch Gumdrops.

The A+ Owl Banner stamp comes with 10 different sentiments for the banner. There is also a matching die.

Inside the card I used the Heartfelt Sentiments stamp.

Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog and check out the DT DARE post for this month. Comment on the post for a chance to WIN a prize. You will also see more amazing creations from my fellow YNS DT girls.

I hope that I've made a good IMPRESSION and you'll be playing along with our challenge this week at Little Red Wagon. For more inspiration you must check out the projects by my fellow Girlfriends.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a fabulous and crafty day everyone!
