Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge: Happy Birthday!

Hello Krafty Friends. it's time for the latest challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. This week I am so excited to be your Krafty hostess and my challenge is HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I selected to host this challenge and made it a birthday challenge for a reason. Yep this weekend I am celebrating my birthday, so why not celebrate and make a birthday card!

Grab your stamps (all are welcome) and create a NEW card, layout or altered item to match this week's theme. This week I had fun creating a birthday card using Oh SNAP! The beautiful paper is from the Simple Stories Summer Vibes 6x6 pad, which is currently in the shop.

On the inside of the card I added one of the birthday sentiments from MAKE A WISH.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Krafty Friends Blog Hop

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps are not just for cards. I recently finished a layout (pictures to come) and in addition to the 12x12 layout, I added a fun pocket page to feature a number of photos.

As a fun embellishment in my pocket page, I created this 4x6 card featuring Lulu from the HAPPY CAMPERS stamp set.

The paper is called On The Go from Paperloft. I will use this card as part of my journalling for my layout.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps July New Release Hop

Welcome to the KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS July release blog hop. Let's get comfy, grab your favourite drink and enjoy the hop.

Today on the hop you will see amazing Krafty Creations featuring all of the stamps from this month's release. We started off the previews with the fabulous new sentiment set by Krafty Girl and Artist Becky Pearce called SWEET SUMMER SENTIMENTS.

Then we shared two fabulous and sassy sets from the super talented Annie Rodrigue, the first and my favourite this month was COFFEE & FRIENDS. We are also release the image BECKY BUBBLES, which was part of the recent Krafty Card Kit.

Our next is from the fabulous Emilie Goulet. The PRETTY AS A PRINCESS set is perfect for many girls (young and old) in your life.

Finally we had our amazing baby set from the amazing Cheryl Grant. I am sure you will agree that the sweet WELCOME TO THE WORLD set it a must have for all those baby card needs.

I created another card using the PRETTY AS A PRINCESS set. This fun and spunky slingshot princess is perfect for those sweet "princesses" not afraid of getting a little rough or messy when they play.

The paper is from Echo Park Fine & Dandy.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Preview: Day Four - Welcome to the World (Plus a Challenge)

Welcome back to day FOUR of our Jul previews for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I am a wee bit excited about today's preview. 

Today we are featuring a darling little set by Cheryl Grant called WELCOME TO THE WORLD. These baby stamps are sweet, cute and a perfect way to complement those always needed new baby or baby shower cards.

Since it's Saturday and a release preview day, we are also excited to present a new ANYTHING GOES challenge. Create a new project (card, scrapbook page or altered item) and share it with us on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blogor on our Krafty Friends Facebook page. All stamps are welcome, however if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp you will double your chance for the weekly prize of a $10 gift certificate to use in the shop.

The paper is Bundle of Joy from Echo Park.

Decorating the inside is a great way to to continue the theme of your card and to use up some of your scrap papers.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Preview: Day Two - Coffee & Friends

It's time for day TWO of our July previews for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

Today we are featuring two fun and sassy sets from Annie Rodrigue. The first set was featured recently as part of the latest Krafty Kard kit and is called Becky Bubbles. This fabulous stamp will be available with the July release stamps.

Then for all of you coffee craving crafty peeps, the next fabulous set from Annie is called COFFEE & FRIENDS.

Coffee and crafting, that definitely puts me in my happy place. I loved colouring this stamp and I decided to keep my card simple because I wanted to show off this fabulous image.

The fun paper by Shimelle for American Craft is called True Stories. I just love the colours and of course the coffee related papers.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Creating a Gift Box

I am sharing a tutorial over on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog on how to create a gift box. I used the SMARTY PANTS stamp set to decorate this box.

You can find the full tutorial here.

This box was used for a set of 12 note cards (with envelopes) and the box measures 6 x 4 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches. The base of the box will be cut at 9 1/2 x 8 1/4 inches. Score your box at 1 3/4 inches, rotate the paper and repeat on all sides.

For the lid just add between 1/16 inches to 1/8 of an inch to size of base measurement. Again score at 1 3/4 inches on all sides.

Here is a look at the finished box, complete with the set of note cards.

Here is another example of a gift box. This one measures 5 3/4 inches square. The cardstock for the base of your box will measure at 9 1/4 inches square. Score at 1 3/4 on all sides. Again the lid will be 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch large than the base size with the same score at 1 3/4 inches on all sides). The stamp on this box is I {HEART} COFFEE.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps June New Release Hop

Welcome to the KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS June release blog hop. Let's get comfy, grab your favourite drink and enjoy the hop.

Today on the hop you will see amazing Krafty Creations featuring all of the stamps from this month's release. We started off the previews with the whimsical Moonlight Whispers set called FIN-TASTIC FRIENDS.

Then we rolled along with a new masculine set called LET'S ROLL DUDE!

Finally we have our cute kids in the sweet set BELIEVE IN FAIRYTALES.

I am on a roll this release with my masculine cards. I have enjoyed tearing into my small stash boy themed paper pads, that are so very neglected in my card making. I use to find making these cards more challenging, however I am starting to enjoy the simple cards. I don't ever feel the need to worry loading up my manly cards with lots of embellishments.

The paper on my card is from Echo Park 'A Boy's Life' Collection.

Today we have a super sweet set from the amazing artist Cheryl Grant. This fabulous set is called BELIEVE IN FAIRYTALES, and that I truly do! You will love the sweet princess, dashing prince and fierce knight. Oh and we can forget about the darling frog and dragon!
