Frantic I lost it all.
As I was trying to change my background tonight I was venturing out and trying new websites and previewing the many different choices. After one little click to change to another background...suddenly all was lost!! Lost somewhere in the cyber world which might I add I have no idea when it comes to that stuff!! I am frantically trying to undo whatever it is that I have done, but nothing seems to work. I was working on the laptop of all things and I was going nuts so I had to switch over to our regular computer. I spent, no joke, at least 45 minutes trying to salvage whatever I could of my blog all the while Cody is in the background saying I am hungry Mommy! AAAHHHHHH, okay, calm down, give him something to eat and he will be content, but no then it's I want to watch my TV show! Trying to not yell outright at the poor child who just wants another simple request I said no, mommy is working on something right now just play with your toys for a little bit. Continuing on my quest to find the contents of my blog all I had to do was switch to another template and it all came back!! Something so simple I was baffled and yet still left with anger and frustration for having to go through the whole situation! I have now calmed down and the excitement of it all left me exhausted and drawn to the conclusion that I will never try new websites again to change my background.

Our November
This month has been a crazy one. My poor husband has been working like crazy, putting a together his first power point presentation for his Captain, taking classes, doing training, and on top of that getting 2 S.W.A.T call outs this month alone. Below are some pictures that were included in the power point. They show how tall the big ladder on the truck goes. It's crazy high!!
As for myself, I've had a few biopsies. One on a mole on my back with luckily came back as just being very Atypical (non melanoma) but something I did not know was that I guess my back is a bit sensitive when it comes to bandages...I learned that finally after a few days of wearing them and had to switch to paper tape and endure the irritation of what the bandages did to my skin in that area. It's been fun... The other biopsy was on my foot. Most of you know the back story on my foot, as it's been an ongoing problem for about 8 years now. After the failure of many, many different treatments my Dr. wanted to make sure that what we were dealing with was was he's been treating for. He decided that my foot needed a biopsy so I have a small hole in my heel. It brings back so many memories and similar pain of when I had a much larger hole in my foot from trying to cut the thing out about a year and a half ago. Needless to say, it doesn't feel good but ya gotta do what ya gotta do and am hopeful that by doing this it will help my heel get better.
Cody has been adjusting to Kindergarten and lately has been doing very well. He had a ruff start but now loves his teacher and has made lots of new friends. It's fun to hear all the kids say good bye to each other as they leave. We are glad things are going much better and he doesn't even complain about homework or reading assignments!

Keep us warm and cool!
We finally were able to get some insulation into our attic due to an awesome sale at Home Depot. Just one of the projects we would like to get done. But already we can tell a difference at night time. We really hope it will save us some money come late winter and summer time. I know most of you out of state don't believe that we have cold winters but for us who live here, it's cold to us!!

September Update
I haven't updated the blog in quite awhile but I've had a few requests to do so. This is what we've been up to lately.
Cody began Kindergarten this year at Cleveland Elementary school. He's had a bit of an adjustment period but is doing well and coming home with lots of papers that they worked on in class. We attended his back to school night last night and got to see their daily routine and all of the stuff they will be learning this year. His teacher has been teaching for 43 years and is quite a spunky lady, but firm with the rules so Cody has had to adjust to that since his Preschool teacher wasn't as firm but more loving. Anyhow, Cody loves his recess and P.E. time and has made a few new friends.
Cody's teacher, Mrs. Collins greeting the kids on the first day.
Cody was not thrilled to do homework that first week.
We also purchased a new elliptical for me since I have pretty much run my other one into the ground. After having it for 2 weeks it started making noises and not working as it should so we tried everything, from taking the whole thing apart to contacting the company that made it and we decided that it was just defective so we finally took it back and exchanged for a new one. As we were putting the new one together we realized that some of the holes were not drilled to put the screws in and some of the parts didn't align as they should. Poor Daniel, so frustrated decided to drill his own holes and maneuver the unfitting parts to fit. Boy was it fun! 3 hours later it was put together!! So far this one is working okay. But just for the record...don't buy a Norditrack elliptical!!
The final project put together.
I have not been crafting too much lately after doing a million burp cloths and onesies for friends and family, but I did decide to make my first diaper cake for my sister-in-law. I've also joined a craft group from my ward but wasn't able to go to the first craft night. I can't wait for the next one. I also got to attend our ward's Super Saturday were I made some cool cards, and etched my name on a pan. Fun times!!

Could it be?
The sun is out yet the air not too hot...
a slight breeze in the air...
a few leaves changing color...
Could it be...Oh, how I wish it would be... FALL!!!!!!
or it could be mother natures way of teasing me!

watering can
After a tuff week and as the close of another ruff day came I was excited to get a few minutes of peace and quiet when Cody asked me if he could take a shower. Happily I said yes...
As he is in the shower I hear the shower door open and then close and I figured okay, he went to the bathroom as he usually does at some point of his showers. Next time I heard the shower door open and close I told myself "oh he's probably just getting another toy from the tub where he keeps some of his toys (we have separate shower and tub) without suspecting anything else. Well, after about 15 minutes in the shower I looked at the clock and was trying to be better about not letting him take too long of showers so I told myself "it was sweet while it lasted but it was time for him to get out". As I stepped into the hallway to go grab his towel from his room...I didn't know weather to scream of anger or calmly walk into the bathroom and find out what had happened. I choose the ladder and calmly walked in until I saw the rest of the bathroom. Cody had flooded the entire bathroom floor. I opened the shower door and turned his water off and tried to keep my cool as I made him get out and started running for the towels to start cleaning the water up. Needless to say it took all of my towels to mop up the floor. In my fury and being grossed out that the same water that touched around the toilet touched my nice towels I asked Cody what he was thinking and he very honestly told me "I was watering the bathroom with my watering can"...

Son to Father advice
Cody and I went to Daniel's church softball game the other night and before we got out of the car Cody insisted on giving Daniel the following advice:
Cody: Okay Daddy, no fighting, don't fight over the ball! Just let the other people get the ball when it goes to them.
Daniel: Okay Cody, thanks for the advice.
This is so cute only because this is what we use to tell him every week before his T-ball games. I guess he was listening.

Ouch!
This is my recommendation to all who likes to bake themselves or use to back in high school in the sun...GO GET YOUR MOLES CHECKED!! I had a suspicious mole on my forearm that has been changing over the years. It was removed on Tuesday and they had to take out quite a bit of skin and left me with a lot of stitches. Cody took these pictures so they aren't the best quality.
This is me with my bandages...much prettier than what's underneath.
The day after the bandages came off. As you can tell by the way I look I've been on pain meds and am pretty sore.

Summer Vaca.
I have been a bit over the blog thing but then I feel guilty whenever I look at others, so I am back. We've begun Summer activities and Cody's loving every minute of them.
A lot of human bowling
A visit from my Oregonian friend and late night smores in our backyard. I know we look lame and the beanies are a bit over the top for the season but those who know me know that I get cold easily.
We found a Black Widow in Cody's play area...called pest control immediately to come spray!
Cody and Daniel camped out in the backyard.

What we did in Utah
First, let me apologize for the random order of my pictures, but this is what we did over the past week while in Utah...
The boys were able to smother and play with Grandma and Grandpa Bell's new puppy, Mollie.
We took time to enjoy the family being together again in the same state.
Cody and Hailey Palmer rekindled their long distance relationship

Tried to take LOTS of pictures!!
Gave Colby and Emily some grumpy kids to take pictures with at their wedding reception!
The boys went out for Colby's last night of bachelorhood! No emergency room visits that night so that's a plus!!
Ryan and Daniel got a few days to play at the skate park
We hit up a jacuzzi and pool at my aunt and uncle's hotel.

We celebrated Derek's birthday!! Happy 28th little bro!!
We got to see good friends that have moved from California to Utah. We love and miss you Jess!
We attended Colby and Emily's beautiful reception and took advantage of the backdrops to take some family pictures
We got to attend Colby and Emily's sealing at the Bountiful temple (where Daniel and I were sealed). The temple grounds were so pretty and spring like that day!
