Curtain Call 2019!

Last night Brightyn and her Vykelle team performed together for the last time.  It is always a bitter sweet moment.  I love watching my Brightyn girl dance but I hate to see her Sophomore Drill season come to a close.  And curtain call closes her sophomore year drill experience.  Brightyn has grown leaps and bounds not only as a dancer but as a person.  She is one strong tough cookie.  I am in awe of how hard she works and never gives up.  This season was tough physically and emotionally and she never ever even thought of giving up.  She is a fighter.  And on top of being strong she is one of the kindest and loving girls you will ever meet.

I'm grateful Grammy was able to come watch.  Jason and Brevin were in St. George with the Viewmont Softball team and Berklee had to perform and cheer at her Weber State game so it was just Grammy and I there to watch Brightyn.

Torrie (London's Mom) and Brightyn

London passed away on December 12, 2015.  Both of my girls danced with London.  Berklee was a Senior on the drill team when London was a Freshman and passed away during that drill season.  Brightyn also danced with London during their youth at the studio.  So both of my girls were touched by London.  It would have been London's Senior year.  So this year was dedicated to London.

It was a wild and crazy ride this season.  I'm sooooo incredibly proud of my Brightyn.  She was amazing.  Brightyn learned that she can do hard things this year.  And she did them with such grace!
