A FIRE down the street!

I was driving down the frontage road tonight and saw this large billowing cloud of smoke. So I quickly pulled over, grabbed my camera and ran over to take a look. This fire is literally only 1 1/2 miles from my home. (I know that to be exact because I run it often.) The fire was taking over the entire building.

Look at the flames in the window!! My heart goes out to the owner and employees!

Such a tragedy!

Firefighters rock!
My Dad was a firefighter and they deserve all of the thanks and respect in the world for putting their lives on the line to protect others!

Movie Premiere

Landree & Brightyn
The other day these two came out all dressed up and put on a movie for us. It even had a plot. It was so funny and silly. I love when my kids use their imagination.

Baseball 2010

Another baseball season is over, FINALLY! Can I say that? Yup, I can. It feels like it has gone on for an eternity. I think we started in February. So, yes it has gone on for an eternity. Okay, enough with me. This was Brevin's first year doing competition baseball. It was an awesome experience! He grew so much and we had the best coaches and team! Our boys did great! We had the best record out of all of the first year 10U competition teams. Most new comp teams only win one or two games the entire season. I will have to look up our exact record but we won at least one game every Saturday.

Brevin loves playing catcher. He did an amazing job!

This picture cracks me up because while I am taking it one of our Dad's was ticked because he thought for sure that this pitch was a strike and was complaining about it. I didn't have the guts to show him the picture and tell him that he was wrong. Look at how outside the ball is. Don't you love fans???

I love this pic!

Coach Dad enjoying some seeds in the dugout!

Brevin even did some pitching this year. He did a great job throwing strikes. Brevin played alot of 2nd base, catcher, and pitcher! I loved how our coach moved the kids around to give them many different opportunities to learn and grow!

"End of Season Pool Party"
So I was a loser when it came to taking a team picture this year. I have no good excuses for why I failed to get a group picture of the boys in their uniforms. I snapped this cute one at the pool party. We are missing a few kids.

Girls Camp!

Yup! It is official! I am old. My oldest left for girls camp this morning. I can't believe she is old enough. Berklee was so excited. She set her alarm for 6am this morning and got up on her own. See the pile behind her? That is all of her stuff minus the large cooler. She is so responsible and packed everything herself. She even rounded up a foam mat that she could borrow. We will miss her for a couple of days. The ONLY good thing about her being gone is that I don't have to run her around all over town. It was nice to not spend every minute behind the wheel today!

Let Freedom Ring......

Happy Birthday America!! I am so grateful for my freedoms and for those who fought and fight for my freedom and comforts. I appreciate those who came before me that sacrificed so much so that I can enjoy this country and all that it has to offer. God Bless America!!

Brevin had so much fun lighting all of the fireworks!!

We had a fun Fourth of July Celebration! The weather was perfect. Not too hot and not too cold! We did things a little bit different this year. Instead of watching the Parade, we were in it. Jason was asked to drive his truck in the parade for Little League Football this year. So we all decided to ride along. Well, everyone except Berklee. She chose to sit with her friends.

We had boxes of salt water taffy that the kids had a blast throwing to the crowd!

I think Brightyn had the most fun out of everyone.

Our cute crew!

Brightyn is practicing her parade wave!

Then we hit the pool for some wet fun! We went to the Farmington pool. It wasn't crowded at all. I couldn't believe it!!!

Brevin's front tuck off of the low dive!

Brightyn's toe touch!

Brevin's front tuck off the high dive!!

Every year it has been a tradition to go into the mountains and watch the Lagoon fireworks. Well, last year we learned that Lagoon no longer is doing a fireworks show. So we decided to head over to watch the Eaglewood firework show. My kids love sitting in the back of the truck with blankets and the air mattress so we parked in the park that was down the street from the firework show. We weren't sure how well we would be able to see but the kids had a blast running around and playing at the park. Well, the view kind of stunk! We could see them but through the trees. So next year we will have to find a different place to view the fireworks. Darn it, why does the economy have to go bad? It ruins our tradition!!

Berklee went to the Davis fireworks with her friends. I don't like it when my kids start to grow up!
Kisses!!!!

I snapped this picture while we were watiting for the fireworks show! I loved how the sun light was hitting the trees and the dark gray sky as the background. It was such a beautiful effect!

Brightyn enjoyed rolling down the hill!! I remember loving to roll down hills as a kid!
