Boston 2024

June 25-July 2, 2024

Jas had a conference in Boston so I tagged along because Boston has been on my bucket list as a place to visit.  Boston did not disappoint.  It was incredible.  We tried to cover as much as possible in the small time we had.  Boston is steeped with amazing history so it was so fun to learn and explore.  I would love to go back one day and see more of this historically amazing city. 

The Freedom Trail is an absolute must do.  It 2.5 miles long and is a red brick trail that takes you around the city to see all the amazing historical sites that have been so well preserved.  From cemeteries, to meeting houses, Old North Church, Boston massacre site, USS Constitution, Bunker Hill, Paul Revere's House and so much more.

The BEST pistachio cannoli!  I could have eaten 10 of these.  YUM!

Of course we had to go to Fenway to watch a Red Socks game. Even though Jas hates the Red Socks it was still so fun to see this cute historical ball park.

The train ride to Salem.  Jas did NOT want to go and looked for every excuse to not go.  He was praying that it would rain. I told him we would still go if it rained & that we would just have an umbrella.  haha.  He had a bad attitude but boy are we glad we went.  Salem was adorable and amazing.  We even did a history and hauntings walking tour which was so fun. It didn't rain but it was cloudy and cool which just added to the ambiance to our experience.  I would love to go back during Halloween.  It is definitely a Halloween town. Which is why Jas didn't want to go.  haha  If you know Jas you know he does not like Halloween. 

 I would love to spend more time in Salem!

Brevin is 24!!

Happy Birthday to my Brev!  To know Brev is to love him.  Brev has the biggest heart.  He is so sweet and kind to me, his grandmother and sisters.  Every week Brev goes over to Grammy's house to mow and take care of her yard. I can't believe Brev is 24!! 

Brev is a friend to everyone & helpful and supportive to all around him.  I love how he takes care of his sisters by loving and supporting them even when they are difficult and high maintenance.  haha   

 

Happy Birthday Sinjun!

Happy Birthday to the best son in law out there.  We love Sinjun.  He is so smart, hardworking, talented, kind, helpful, so skillful in grilling/smoking meats, has high character & is the biggest animal lover.  He is always looking out for others.  He is one of those people that will always stop and help others without hesitation.  My favorite thing about Sinjun is how much he loves my Berklee and how well he takes care of her.  I'm so grateful he came into our family.  He is the BEST!

 

California 2024

May 28-31, 2024

We decided to take another trip this year to watch the Yankees play.  Jas loves his Yankees and it has been fun going to watch some of their games.  They played at Angels Stadium this year so we got tickets to two of the games.  The weather was great and the Yankee's won both games.  

Of course we had to explore some of the beaches while we were in California. We stayed in Anaheim so we explored Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and the cute little Balboa Island. 

We had fun just walking the beaches and looking for treasures.  My favorite thing ever=spending time with Jas and treasure hunting!

Riding the Ferry over to Balboa Island.  Jas had never been there before.  I visited Balboa Island back in High School on a drill trip and fell in love with the little island.  It really hasn't changed much all these years later. It still has its incredible charm and beauty!

The flowers are stunning on Balboa Island.  

This was Jas's favorite house.  haha. The island is very patriotic. American flags are flying everywhere!  

The architecture of the houses are absolutely adorable.  They have a southern charm feel.

 

Memorial Day Weekend 2024

We had a blast taking the dogs on our favorite Ogden hike.  Hiking has always been our Memorial Day weekend tradition. Brightyn couldn't make it because she had to work. We were glad Brev could come along.  Olive was having a sleep over because Berklee & Sinjun were out of town. So Jas had a blast playing with the dogs.

Poor Brev had Olive's leash the whole time. Olive loooooves other people and dogs but she scares everyone so we had to keep her on the leash most of the hike.  It was a busy day & it felt everyone was on the trail. 

An of course we can't forget Jas's awesome speech the week before at graduation.  He always amazes me!  He was born to lead and speak!
