You're Sweeter Than Chocolate

Hey everyone!  Happy Valentines Day!
Today is my day to post over at Jaded Blossom  and I wanted to share the treats I made for my daughters Valentine's party today at school.

I know some are funny about people handling treats especially when it comes to kids and school, so I think it's awesome that the Jaded Blossom Fancy Topper die works perfectly over the M&M Fun Size candy.

Here are a few of the 36 treats I made :

The sentiment came from Jaded Blossom's Valentine Treats set.
The hearts came from the Silhouette Store and of course we had to finish it off with a little bit of Valentine Cherry Cupcake twine by Trendy Twine.

Since these treats were for my daughters class, she helped me make them.  It's so nice that the Fancy Topper die is easy enough for a 7 year old to use.  She cut them all out and even inked the edges!  The great thing was that I didn't have to worry about filling 36 bags. Once we got the toppers made we just stuck them right on to the bag--SUPER EASY AND QUICK!!

Don't forget to join us in the February Challenge if you haven't done so already

Jaded Blossom Sneak Peek Day 1

Happy New Year! I can't think of a better way to start off 2013!  I am so excited!
This is my first official post as a Jaded Blossom Design Team member
AND because its Day 1 of sneaks for Januarys release!

We are showcasing two stamps sets for todays sneaks--
Valentine Candies and Got  Candy?

For my project, I used the sentiment "Happy Valentine's Day to my favorite nerd!" off of the Got Candy set and
"Will you be mine?" off of the Valentines Candies set.
Here is a close up of the sentiments.  I also used the scalloped flag die from the Jaded Blossom Flag Die 2 set and the small flag die from their first Flag Die set.
I used this cute cut file from Paper Piecings by Nikki called I Love My Geek.
I thought he was just perfect for this project!  I even had to add some glossy accents for his glasses.
Make sure you check out Jaded Blossom to see all the other fabulous design team members projects, you definitely don't want to miss out on anything!

Thank you for stopping by, and don't forget to check back tomorrow for Day 2!

July Favors

Good morning!  I just love these wands from Jaded Blossom!
I love making treats for the holidays and handing them out at work--so these were perfect!
The pinwheel is a file I got off the Silhouette Store and was quick and easy enough to assemble 15 of them in no time!
The patterned paper I used was from Pebbles "Let Freedom Ring" collection. The combination of stripes and dots were perfect!
I attached the pinwheel to the  clear wand from Jaded Blossom with a big brad I picked up at Michaels and filled the tube with red, white and blue Sixlets.
Of course this couldn't be complete without using the flag die!
I stamped the word "Celebrate" off of the "Miscellaneous Fun" set using ink from Stampin' UP.

I hope you enjoyed my festive treat as much as my coworkers did!

Thanks from stopping by

Jaded Blossom Release Day 1

Hey everyone!  It's Monday and it is the first day of the Jaded Blossom Stamp Release sneak!
Today's sneak peek is of two stamps sets --"Pattern Kisses" and "Friendly Kisses"

For my project I decided to use the Friendly Kisses set

For the flowers I cut out 5 different sized flowers off of the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and inked the tips. I used a veining tool from my cake decorating kit to make a slight crease in each of the petals and then rolled the two bottom layers down and the top two layers up in order to give it a little dimension.

For the center of the flower I used the flower stamp off of the Friendly Kisses stamp set.  I placed the flowers on the top of ta Jaded Blossom wand which I filled with green mini M&Ms.

Around the wand I used the flag die from Jaded Blossom to attach my sentiment. The "Sweet Thanks" sentiment is also off of the Friendly Kisses stamp set.

Make sure you visit the Jaded Blossom website to view these complete sets!

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure stop by again tomorrow for Day 2 of the sneak!

Jaded Blossom July Challenge

Hey all,
it's July and it's time for a new challenge with Jaded Blossom!
This month is really exciting for me because  I have been given the opportunity to be the guest designer for their July release --you are going to love them!

The challenge this month is to create ANY party favor with ANY Jaded Blossom Stamp.
Since we all know July is the month for fireworks, I decided to make a cute little treat holder.

The sentiment I used was "Celebrate" off of the Jaded Blossom's Miscellaneous Fun set.  I wanted to add a little dimension so I stamped the star off of that set  as well and pop dotted it and used twine from Twinery as the tail

I found this cute little sparkler bear girl on the "4th of July Bears" file from Scrapping Bug Designs. With the little stars on her shoes and dress straps, I thought this star patterned paper was perfect!

I hope this has inspired you to join the July challenge, thanks for stopping by!
