Dese photos are from before May.Old huh? Well i started acting funny in May like always, so i am locked up.

But mommeh saz dat i am seeming like myself again.So i should be able to prowl again tomorrow on June 1st.

How else will our house stay safe? We all know dat hansel does not deal wif Ntruders da way him shud.

Whenever mommeh calls mai name, i yell at her.

Easy Sunday

So this is the new kitchen floor!Thanks to Dad for putting it down for us.   This is of course, also ben's room. he enjoys the new floor.

Hansel shows how easy it is to walk over the trim.

Hansel swears to the air conditioner that one day soon, he will destroy it.

It's his birthday!!!

So mom didn't forget after all. This is the day we officially celebrate little Hansel's birthday.Today, he is 3 years old.
When we found him, he was ~ 4 & 1/2 months old, and a smelly little man.  (we'll save most of that story for October on his gotcha day)

The love of our lives stares happily out the window with the nice breeze on his furs.

Things haven't always been easy in the house, constant problems with one or another.  Hansel Cat has always been an absolute delight.
We remember him last year when we discovered his Legg Perthes condition which with the blogosphere's support we decided to go forth with the major surgery.We couldn't be happier with the decision.  Now that those nasty bones are out- and our boy is healed, he seems like a normal cat.I hope that he never further injures the leg.Even though all the pain he went through and medications and all the vet visits...my boy still purred and purred at any attention and never tried to bite one person. He is so amazing to me.

And now all healed a year and a few months later, he flies through the house like it never happened. And i can't even believe it. I'm always amazed at the strength of animals- that through ALL of that, he never complained like a human would. He was miserable and in pain but that boy got up and moved himself and walked despite all of it.  Hansel gives me hope. Day after day.

We are so thankful that we were the lucky ones to find him, that we went to the Humane Society on that particular day- when he had ONLY gone up for adoption the day before.   How lucky we are!
