Summertime and the living is easy....
Hi, it's Susan here.
I have worked this card from a great sketch from 'Delightful Sketches' it is such a nice one and lends itself perfectly to a garden theme. There is always such a lot of challenges to follow at this time of the year with a summer theme, and when the sun is shining it is nice to be able to design with the gorgeous colours that are ideal for garden themed cards.
The backing papers are from a CD rom by Crafter Companion called Cute Companions - Summer Stories, beautiful backing papers on this CD rom. All the edges were distressed.
Can you spot the little wooden 'ladybirds', these little insects are my favourite summer bugs! They brings lots of memories of when Emma and my other daughter Jeni used to go on ladybird hunts in the garden in the summer!
The digi image is from Daisy Doodles store, it is such a cute little image and is perfect for a beautiful summery card. The image is called 'Wheelbarrow'.
The images are really good and print off perfect, any size you wish to make them. They are well worth a visit.
I coloured it in with Pro-Markers, and then distressed the edges to match the main papers.
The large yellow flower is my own handmade flower, made from a flower punch and coloured with inks, shaped and finished with stamens, the other flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts, which I coloured with inks.
The tag I made myself on the computer, I ink aged the background before distressing the edges.
I used raffia from Papermania this time instead of ribbon, simply because I thought raffia blended in more with a garden theme.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card, I hope you liked it.

Best Wishes.....
Hi it's Susan again, what a great sketch this was from The Sweet Stop, simple but so effective.
The backing papers were from a CD rom called Cute Companions Summer Stories, I love these backing papers they are so delicate in the colouring, and as strawberries were asked for in the All Sorts Challenge the fit the bill exactly.
All the edges were distressed and glittered using Stickles.
The ribbon and lace is from my local market.
This has to be the most adorable stamp from Belles and Whistles, with the little kitten peeking around her legs.
I coloured it in using Pro-Markers, and a soft distressing ink for the background.
The label was made on my computer. I distressed and glittered the edges and inked the background to match the card.
All the flowers are handmade using a set of punches and shaping and colouring to get the effect I wanted. I love making my own flowers, and try to put some on most cards I make.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my creation, I hope you liked it.
