Sweet Poppy the Circus Girl....

Hi there everyone, Emma here...

Well I had a bit of free time over the last weekend and decided to make another little Christmas gift....yes, it's another notebook!!!  These are my new favourite things to make at the minute hehehe!!!
I also could NOT resist using one of the new Saturated Canary images designed by the very sweet Krista Smith,  I am SOOOOO in love with them all....

....I thought I would join in with the sketch over at the Saturated Canary Challenge blog which I thought was fabby, so this is my take on the sketch!!!  I used some papers by Bo Bunny and My Minds Eye, all the edges have been distressed, glittered and machine stitched,  The gorgeous lace is from Hobbycraft and the delicate pink ribbon is from the fabulous Fred Aldous here in Manchester...

...the seam binding ribbon I have used on the notebook rings is from the market....

....'Poppy the Circus Girl' has been coloured with grey lead pencil....as you all know I still LOVE doing this style of colouring!!! I am so LOVING these images....I think I may get addicted to them!!!  The cute little birdhouse charm is from Crafty Emma's Store and the nobbly bobbly trim is from my stash....

...the flowers are a bit of a mix, some by Prima and Hobbycraft and I made the tiny pink twisted rose from seam binding which you can see there peeking out,  I made a tutorial HERE on how you can make these...

Thanks so much for looking and for the amazing comments you all leave me, they really do make my day...

Hansel sends his love....

Hi Susan here....

For full details of the challenge and to get some fabulous inspiration from the design team call across to The Stamping Bazaar. Don't forget to join in the challenge with us, the prizes are fantastic!!

I have used a great sketch from Mojo Monday Challenges, my backing papers are from my stash, all the edges have been glittered with stickles. My ribbon, lace and gems are from our local market.

This gorgeous digi image has been designed by Marina Neira and is called 'Hansel with flowers', you can purchase the image from The Stamping Bazaar Store. Check out the store while you're there, Marina still has some special offers on two packages from our Christmas releases, they are only going to be available for a short time so don't forget to take a look.
I used Promarkers to colour him, I glittered the edges of the topper with stickles.

My flowers are from Prima, I added a brad to the centres and then glittered the edges of the petals with stickles.

My sentiment has been designed by Ann Vento and is available from Raindrop Echo Designs.
I changed the colour to a light purple to match my colour scheme.

A Gift for you!!!.....

Hi Susan here....

Today at Fussy and Fancy it is the chance for Group B to remind you of our ongoing challenge 'Anything but a card'. Its a great chance to make something for someone special as a gift. For full details of the challenge and to see some fantastic inspiration from the design team call HERE, and join in the fun with us all.

Now onto my creation for this challenge....

I made a gable box for the challenge, its a fabulous size and holds quite a good size gift, mine has a fancy pair of socks rolled up inside it!!
You can find the details of how to make the gable box from Splitcoast Stampers HERE.
My red card base is from The Papermill Shop and is a beautiful textured card. The rest of the backing papers are from my stash, I distressed the edges and added some glitter. The little piece of hessian and raffia trim is from our stash.

This gorgeous little digi image is just one of the new releases designed by Marina Neira that are on a special offer at the moment from The Stamping Bazaar Store, he is called Marvin with Candy Cane. I have coloured him in using Promarkers and then cut him out to layer him on top of the hessian. The flower is from Prima, I added extra colour with chalks and glittered the edges of the petals with stickles then used a yellow brad in the centre.

My sentiment designed by Ann Vento is from Raindrop Echo Designs. I used a twisting technique on my computer to slightly twist the text, then I changed the colour of the text from black to red, after that I cut the tag shape and gently inked the outer edges before distressing and adding glitter to the outer edges. The ribbon and candy cane brad are from our stash.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my gift box and for leaving all your wonderful comments, they are very much appreciated. I hope you liked it.

Love Susan
