I'm REALLY looking forward to this show, I LOVE it, it's always been a favourite of mine as it's a REAL proper stamp show, and that's exciting! The group that run it, Happy Stamper's North West are a well established stamping group that have got the whole show thing right, they look after the customers and us exhibitor's so well.
Due to it's popularity, for a number of years it has been ticket only, and I gather tickets have sold out really early this year, so... if anyone finds they can't come to the show now, PLEASE PLEASE email us as there are many people who will snap your un-needed ticket away from you in a heartbeat!!
I've been in heaven for the last couple of days as I've been playing making cards and other stuff for my demonstrations at the show. I ran out of time to take any photos before I scheduled this post but I will show some of them next week.
I have made 70+ UTEE embellishments with Moonglow EP's for the ATCs that I'm going to give away at the show, yes quite shocking really, I cannot believe I've actually made that many... although the stamping on the ATCs is very simple. There maybe more if I get them finished in time as I know that's not going to be near enough for all the visitors at the show. I will give them out to those that watch while I'm demonstrating the Moonglow embossing powders (until they are all gone), I won't be demonstrating all day though, as Vix is also demonstrating, we will be taking it in turns, so keep calling back to see different things going on.
Vix has been playing with sticky backed canvas and printed images, if you ask her nicely, which I will be, she'll show you how to tranfer your images onto canvas EASILY! No transfer medium needed and you can even transfer printed papers this way, I'm actually very excited about finding this out for myself! We will have the canvas sheets on sale individually which is ideal if you want to give the technique a try, and also in the normal packs for those that really want to seriously play with canvas!
Vix also has a pile of ATCs to swap/give away at the show, but I wouldn't leave it too late before you visit us for these, they went VERY quickly at the last show!
We will have Hero Arts stamps/sets with us and some new sample cards to show using them, and Karen Jackson from HSNW will be using some of the Hero Arts stamps in her demos on the day.
Oh, we've some show specials, but you'll have to be there to buy them though!
If you cannot visit the show but are local enough to visit us, we'll be demoing the same at our open weekend next weekend, 16th/17th October. Jill Boulton will be demonstating too with all things Tim and Ranger, and Janet and Michelle will be holding Christmas themed make and takes. Tea and coffee is freely available, as is parking, but bring your own lunch!
I'll post more about the happenings of the demo weekend soon, but for now, save the date!
Have a great weekend
Jill

Coming up... Live TV shows!
Sorry I haven't blogged for over a week, lots of things in the planning here, I'll post all the dates as soon as I can, for now here's some dates on things we are up to...
Saturday 10th October - HSNW show at Port Sunlight, Wirral - I hope you've got your tickets already, as it's ticket only!!
Tuesday 13th October - Live show on Create and Craft at 12 o'clock (Sky 671 or Freeview 36). Tracey Coates designer of our latest collection of stamps will be with me on this show, (it's Tracey's first live show). We'd be really pleased if you can watch us! There may be repeats of the show if you cannot watch at the time or record it, I'll post the details here when I know.
Saturday 17th October - Demo and Sale Day at our unit in Craven Nursery Park. Jill Boulton will be demonstrating metal embossing with Walnut Hollow Tools, combining this with alcohol inks and other products. I will be demonstrating with Tracey's stamp collection that we are showing on the Create and Craft show. We will also be having lots of discounts on the day.
Kay and I are booked to do a live show the following week, plus another in November, see it's all go! Please pass the word around your crafting friends, we'd be very grateful for your support! I'll add more information to our website and on here as soon as I can. VERY exciting!!!
Expect me to be a little quiet for a while longer, there's lots of prep to do. We will of course share our cards with you after the shows.
I am looking forward to tomorrow, we have a workshop for a group of ladies from Lincoln, I'll be putting the planning and paperwork to one side for the day, can't wait to play and get messy!!
Thanks for visiting!

HSNW workshop - the excitement is mounting!

Thank you to all that have commented, entered the blog candy, followed, and kept up so far! It's appreciated.
The photo tonight is a bit of the table while Debbie, Helen, Ian and I started packing on Wednesday, (notice how we started with the ribbon first and the card cutting came last:)) Thanks for counting the brads and curly clips Debbie, almost as exciting as cutting the card! (You should have seen what Helen and Ian had to do:()
While the washer was whizzing earlier, I wrote some class notes, almost proper ones this time, not just a list of things to do, so I've something to print out to help the other Jill who'll be in the other room, Tracey (who has VERY kindly agreed to help us, ) and hopefully it will also help the club members work through the book. My notes on backs of envelopes, bits of paper etc, are almost nearly in one place.
None of it will help to stop confusion at all with 2 Jills, one in each room, we had 3 Jill's at a workshop the other week, so we just numbered ourselves! We were happy...
Now, have I done well, so that Tracey can have a play too or will I prove totally disorganised and Tracey is back and forth with us 2 Jills finding things we need all day? I really hope she gets to play a bit :) But, she confirmed when we chatted today that she wants to help, so I bet we'll not be able to sit her down easily!
I'm such a worry wort at times, (as if you didn't know by now, or you do know now:() but, I've found where I'm heading to on the map, and as the prep is nearly done, the worries are ebbing away and the excitement is mounting! They are a great stamping group at HSNW, I know we will all have a great day on Saturday. I cannot wait!
I hope I can give those ladies a lovely day, they've given loads of support over the years to many of us smaller retailers and they just deserve it, apart from anything else it is a special year for the group. I'll tell you why next week... and show you what they made too.
Well, after dealing with mail order and other bits that needed doing, I've spent most of the day cutting card and packing, still a few more kits to put together tomorrow and then finish the packing of equipment, till and bits for the 'Shop' afterwards, etc.
I'll post a photo of the front cover of the book tomorrow then if any HSNW ladies happen to pop by they can see a little bit of what they will be making!
Exciting!
Jill x
PS: Oh, I do hope they'll like it - Mrs W W (mrs worry wort)
PPS: Glad I'm not alone LME!, see you on Saturday:)
