Summer Classes.. for the Little Girls

I love all things movement and music and helping kids develop their talents. I teach a program called “Let’s Play Music” to young kids which teaches them music and the concepts of beginning piano. It goes along with the regular school year. I love this program and it’s going great. Please contact me if you are considering enrolling your child for next year. The 1st years students ideal age is 4-5. My current students that enroll for next year will begin Year 2 of the program with the beginning of next school year and they will start playing on the piano….yeah! So excited for that! The kids are learning so much and having so much fun and so am I because I am teaching what I love. So, please do contact me if you are interested. It is an awesome program!!
*** Now on to what I wanted your opinion on and what I wanted to talk about..... As summer approaches and Let’s Play Music will be taking a break for the summer I find my self wishing that for my own kids there was a great dance class or something they could do. I just don’t feel like we have enough options in Mesquite. It is important to me to help kids develop their talents and I plan on teaching my own girls this summer a variety of things. I have had much experience in a range of things such as Gymnastics, Clogging, Tap, Piano, Violin, Singing, Performance. Not only have I taught Music and Piano, but Gymnastics and Dance as well. I have also been certified as a Health and Fitness Instructor. So, I feel qualified enough, so why not teach my own kids, {they are always begging me anyway =)} Why not teach them what I WISH they could learn. So, since I will be doing this with my own girls I wanted to see if any other little friends would like to join us. How much fun to help develop talents in so many areas with one class. We will do Musical Games & Singing, Dancing (Including basic Kids Hip Hop Moves, Ballet Moves, Tap Moves, maybe even a little Clogging, other excercise with stretching and beginning Gymnastics). Letting the kids have fun and learning and most importantly Moving and building confidence! I Love it! What do you think? Let me know if you have ideas for me or what you would be interested in your child learning. I know Summers are busy, but if you have the time and want your little girl to join us…then please let me know....Girls Only! By the Way…(Sorry Boys) It’s more of a Girl thing in my opinion! *** It will probably be 1 hour or 1 1/2 once a week, ages 4- 7 or 8. Starting the 2nd or 3rd week in June. Still working on those details. It will be in my Home. If there is enough interested I can separate it more by age groups. It will be $35 for every 4 weeks. We may even work up to putting on a little performance for the parents. You can do it all summer months or 1 month or 2 months. All depending on what your summer schedule is like. Let me know if you have any ideas for me or if you may be interested. When I find out more about who may be interested I can work out the details and let you know more. Am I crazy??? HAHA. Please let me know what you think! I am pretty much excited about it! Even if nobody else wants to do it I'm still gonna do it and have fun with my girls! Yeah!

Night Owl

It doesn't matter if Ammon takes a nap or doesn't take a nap, He loves to stay up late playing on his own with blocks and reading books. We can't ever get him to go to sleep until about 11 pm until finally he falls asleep like this:Sometimes we can get him to stay in his bed and he'll just read books in the dark until he again falls asleep with book in hand. I think he loves the time when he can do anything he wants to do WITHOUT sisters.....haha. He wants to do all he can until he can't stay awake anymore. {Maybe he get's that from me...oops!}

Another Year Older

Artie turned 31 February 2nd. We didn't do too much, just hung out at home together as a family. The girls made treats with Nana (Artie's mom) to give to him and Nana and Papa brought over a cake. We made a Candy Gram poster for him and later that evening we played the game 7-11 with all the candy!! I remember playing that game when I was a kid and the kids loved it!

We FINALLY went to Pirate Island in St. George. It's has food and fun, and the Atmosphere really makes it the funnest. We had a geat time!
Ammon kept lifting up his shirt and I was wondering what the heck he was doing. I soon realized he was lifting up his shirt and putting his hand in his pocket to eat the nuts Grandpa Laub had put there for him earlier that day...haha. That tided him over until our food came =)
Ammon climbing the little rock wallAshlyn giving him a little boost =)After Pirate Island we went to visit Uncle Walter & Aunt Brittnee
and ride Uncle Walters horses.

We had a FUN DAY!

Next on our little list of things to do in St. George:

Jumpin' Jacks

Ice Skating

Splash Park (when it's warmer)

Bear Mill

Wild Animal Museum {again}
