Soccer is it our family sport?

Still trying to figure this out!

This little girl............

 

HAS,

all the athletic ability in the world, she runs (fast I might add), she jumps, she is coordinated and it is all wrapped up in the most girly package.
Her aggressiveness turns into friendly meetings with her "besties" on the other team.  Her killer fast running turns into unicorns prancing in green meadows and when she is sidelined she cheers with pure delight on her face wondering why she has to go back in when she is so content with jazz hands and kicks of admiration for her fellow players.

Once in a while we see her get feisty and she does something so impressive, it is usually followed up by a cartwheel and a spin with a thumbs up to the audience.  I have often found myself wondering if she had been raised by Ali or Brooke if she might be an elite, olympic athlete by now.  But alas, she is raised by me a "girly girl"  who tries to pretend their is a tuff side, somewhere.  

This Boy..................

has a heart that won't quit!

He tested out soccer for a season and didn't know if it was quite up his alley.  He later in the year played goalie and did a mighty fine job for his team and even surprised himself.  If this blog was updated you would know by now that He gave up his sleek soccer cleats the next season for a helmet and shoulder pads but..........

I am not so sure that he will not revisit this sport again!
