I {Heart} Valentines Day!

I usually like to make a Valentines Breakfast! Sometimes we eat it for Dinner. =) It's fun to make everything pink or hearts! This time we had pink waffles. Alley said, "Mom, let's have PINK waffles every day for breakfast, they are soooo yummy!" Ashlyn seems to agree! hmmmm, I guess anything that is pink just tastes so much better....(the secret ingredient- red food coloring... haha =) Ashlyn had a fun Valentines Party at preschool on Thursday! They made sugar cookies, she was very excited that she got to bring the Red sprinkles for the cookies. She brought home a bag of candy and a Big Valentine Picture for Mom & Dad!

Don't you love her "heart hair." I love the ideas from the She Does Hair Blog! I thought it turned out cute! Ashlyn loves it, she also had her hair like that with red ribbon intertwined in the heart today for church. She kept feeling it to make sure the heart was still there!

Alley had a fun Valentines Party at school on Friday. We made these cute Butterfly Valentines for each one in her class. She signed each one "from: Alley" and then she had to put a heart. =) She brought home a large decorated envelope with lot's of Valentines from everybody in her class. It so takes me back to the days of when I was in Elementary school, we use to make big Valentine envelopes and decorate them cute and on Valentines Day we got to pass things out and put a valentine in each kids envelope. I loved it! Then, I remember the excitement of seeing what everybody gave you! So fun!

On Saturday (Valentines Day) a bunch of us friends (kidless) went out to the hills to have a picnic and go shooting! It was so much fun! Here's the boys having a little Clay shooting competition!

Such "tough guys" plugging their ears =)Showing my skills....hahah =)~The Girls competition~ And I WON..... I think it was Luck for sure! =) But my favorite to shoot was the 22 with the scope...I was starting to get good at that one and hit some good targets! The Girls just hanging out
Juwlz, Staci, Me, Rocki, Christina.....we are missing Tera in this picture =(
We had such a fun time! Thanks guys for the great company and such a fun day!
Later that night:
Grandma & Grandpa Laub knocked and Ran at our door and left us a bunch of Heart Cookies! So yummy! Whatever happened to the days of knocking and running and leaving Valentines?? We use to do that all the time! I'm for sure doing that next year! Alley and Ashlyn made hearts and different Valentine pictures all day. Alley made an arrow and came and shot me with it and said, "this is going to make you fall in love with daddy!" And she was very serious! =) she is so stinkin' funny that girl! HA! She makes me laugh all the time with the things she says!
We hope everybody had a Happy Valentines Day!!

He was born February 2, 1979
He is the 2nd oldest of 4 boys
He was the only one married for 6 years before Shannon finally got married
He is the only one in his family with Brown eyes. (Now we have Ammon who has his brown eyes)
His favorite sport is Baseball
He loves to play Softball (with his brothers especially, and of course Co-ed with his wife =)
He went on an LDS Mission to Ohio
He is a great Dad and Husband, we couldn't ask for anybody better! We love you Artie (Daddy) so much! We hope you have a GREAT 30TH BIRTHDAY!
Here are a few pictures the girls colored for him (you can't see them very well, you can click on them to make them bigger!

Alley also made me help her write a "to do" list of things we needed to do today for daddy's B-day. She put things like:

Remember to jump up and say suprise

Decorations

Balloons

A sign that says "Happy Birthday Daddy"

Presents

She is so her mama's child....has to make lists of everything =)

Mini Drill....

Last week the girls had fun with Mini Drill. They practiced all during the week for the big game. They danced to "Girls just wanna have fun" for the half time of the Girls Basketball game on friday! They had so much fun and they did a Great Job!
Kiera, Cambria, Alley & Ashlyn At the very end of the dance one of the little girls fell and Alley ran right over there to help her up....awwww, my sweet Alley....she's so loving and helpful! We are so proud of you girls, you did a great job!

Random Pics from December/January

We get a little worried when Ammon cries because he wants us to put a princess crown on his head or a headband with a flower.....hahaha...sometimes we call him our little sissy man (sad I know). But, he also LOVES to wear Daddy's tie. He thinks he's so big and right when he gets it on he usually heads for the door... like he looks good and he's ready to go. Alley got this princess game for Christmas...it was the main thing she really wanted, a video game! She never said what kind of video game. When she opened it, she was very surprised, she said, "it's princesses, a princess video game, it's just what I wanted, how did Santa know?!" I guess he knows you well Alley! ;) Ashlyn loves babies, here she is with one of them that she got, and don't you just love the hats they are wearing. I made the flowers to go on them to make them extra cute =) They love to accessorize! Our little Brown Eyed Boy! And yes, Daddy likes the 49ers (ever since elementary school) And this is what I found the other day when I walked into the Bathroom.....aaaaahhhh, a pile of Ashlyn's hair. That little stinker found some scissors and thought she would make herself real pretty. She cut some off the right side and the left side by her face! We can hide it pretty good though thank goodness!
