A Trip down Memory Lane!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see what memories people leave about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

My Birthday & The New Shaner Baby!

I had a Pretty good b-day. Last week Artie & I, Walter, Brittnee, Erica, Nick, Taiylor & Lyndsey went to Tuacahn to see Les Miserables, my most favorite thing ever! Artie kinda counted that as my b-day present =). Then, Artie & I went to the movie the Dark Night (I really liked it and wow, Heath Ledger did an awesome job as the Joker... he was creepy) & after the movie we were just waiting for Rocki to have the baby! We new she was getting close and Shannon texted and said she started pushing around 7:25 pm and by 8 she still hadn't had him, so we all headed up to the hospital and before we got there she had him. So, our little nephew & cousin on the Shaner side was born tonight... on my B-day! Yeah! Finally the kids have a cousin on the Shaner side... & Alley said "I'm glad I'm a girl & I get to have babies, cause then they grow up & you have your very own kid," =)
Degan Daniel Shaner was born a little after 8 pm on July 23, he weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. We are so excited and we can't really decide who he looks like yet, I think I see a little Shannon in him, but I'm not sure, he might look more like Rocki. Yeah for babies, it's so exciting! We also got a call that Diann (my sister in law) is having a boy also, she is due in December. So, there are gonna be lot's of little boys running around. Ammom will have lot's of little friends. So fun!

Finally a camping trip

Smores*Rhino Rides*4-wheeler rides*cool weather*Dutch Oven*watching the stars*singing around the campfire*gettin' dirty*fishing*Grandma & Grandpa*nature* animals*
This last weekend we went camping on Kolob mountain at my parents cabin. We had a lot of fun. Alley was counting down the days until we could go. She couldn't wait. It was so nice to get out of the heat. The girls had their first fishing experience finally (they've been wanting to go fishing for a while now) and it was such a nice getaway!

Swim Lessons

This was Alley's sencond year in swim lessons. She loved it and she is really improving. She thinks she's a PRO now! She is so brave whenever we go swimming, she goes and just jumps in the deep end and starts swimming. She is getting pretty good, but she still needs to get a little stronger! We are having fun swimming this summer and the girls are getting their practice!

This was Ashlyn's first year of swim lessons. She had a great time. She was a little nervous to stay by herself, she's never really been involved with too much yet by herself, especially without Alley, but she did great! Thanks Steph for being a great teacher!

Alleys dive, when she hit the water she would always do a front flip

Ashlyn jumping & practicing kicking

Both the girls are Awesome floaters, they could float all day! Ashlyn always had a cute little smile on her face as she closed her eyes and floated!

Alley and Javen racing!

My Little Ashlyn is 3!

Ashlyn's Birthday is Today! We've actually been celebrating like the last 3 days! On Sunday we got together with Artie's family and she opened a couple presents and we ate icecream cake! Then Monday we got together with my family and she got spoiled again with presents and we had icecream sundaes! Then today she asked for Waffles for breakfast & then later we went to the church with cousins and watched a movie on the Big Screen in the cultural hall. Later when Daddy got home she got to open a couple more presents from Mommy & Daddy! We got her a backpack, a lunch bag and a travel bag all matching and they say her name on them. She's pretty excited that they say her name and she LoVeS backpacks... she'll be excited to take it to preschool. It looks so gigantic on her though :)
Thanks everybody! She loves all the presents she got and they were some pretty awesome ones:
Nana & Papa: New Clothes
Rocki & Shannon: Dora Bath Doll
Grandma & Grandpa: her own Sleeping Bag
Uncle Randy, Aunt Diann & Kids: Tea Set
Aunt Marsha & Kids: Her own little stereo with 10 disney music CD's
Aunt Kim: Scooter Bike (as Ashlyn calls it) with her name on it and stars all over it
Mommy & Daddy: Matching Back Pack, Travel Bag & Lunch bag w/ name

Alley's Kindergarten Teacher!

Today we got the official letter in the mail from the Elementary School for Alley to see who her teacher is..... It's Mrs. Mickelson. I think she'll be great. I just hope there is someone in her class that she knows... does anybody else have Mrs. Mickelson??? Anyway, I know Alley will be fine either way, she makes friends easily. She's excited and now I'm a little sad... getting the letter from the shool....but for my daughter... aahhhh, I can't believe she will be starting school and ALL DAY SCHOOL! Crazy! My little girl is growing up so fast!

i LOVE the 4th!

I love the 4th of July. It reminds me of being a kid & growing up in Bunkerville. We always would go to the early morning breakfast and program and races! I loved it and it's so fun to keep these tradtitions and do the same things with my kids. We never quite make it to the breakfast... way too early for my kids, but they love the races. They always start practicing up a couple days before :) So, first was the flag ceremony and little program... and then the RACES!
Go Ashlyn Go!

Ashlyn won her race and got a necklace and a coupon for a free Happy Meal at Mcdonalds. Then it was Alley's turn......"ON YOUR MARK, GET SET.... GO!"

Alley and Hannah Linge tied for first.... they got their necklaces and a coupon to Mcdonalds...

Then the kids played on the Splash pad at the park & we enjoyed the Free Snow Cones and Cotton Candy. There was also a watermelon eating contest and egg toss and the Fire Truck sprayed the kids and the Para Gliders dropped bags of candy! So fun!

Alley Loves to do the Dunking Machine... last year she got in line and got dunked while I was watching the softball game.. I had no clue where she was and she came back and told me she was dunked.... :) she's too funny! I'm glad I didn't miss it this year...

and down she goes....

then she got in line to throw the ball to try and dunk somebody! She almost got it on the last try and then she just went up and pushed it!

We then went home and relaxed and took naps and later we had a BBQ & homemade Icecream at "Nana & PaPa" Shaner's, it was so yummy!!

Ammon watching daddy play softball ....Don't you love his outfit... "Future President"

Later we watched the Awesome fireworks and did a few of our own!

What a FUN DAY!

Makin' MeSsEs!

Lately Alley loves to feed Ammon. She always wants to do it.
Ashlyn helps too, but not as often as Alley.
So, sometimes it is a big help. But, they make a BiG mess!

Now it's time to get ALL CLEANED UP!

If you are wondering What's Going On...

So, I know a lot of you have been asking what we do next with Ammon.... We had a follow up appointment with the Pediatric Urologist in Vegas last thursday. It was suppose to be the follow up appointment to see the films from the test we were suppose to have done, but even though we were unable to get the test done he still wanted us to come to the follow up appointment. So, he told us we will wait to see what stuff looks like on his next ultrasound when he is 1 year old. We will also have the VCUG test done again at that same time (he had the same thing when he was 1 day old). He has to get a cathider for that and they put fluid in he stomach and watch what the kidneys do, they check for reflux of the kidneys to see if all the fluid/pee is going out the way it's suppose to. Anyway, I really wanna know what the suspicious looking thing is that is attached to his pelvic kidney... it kinda worries me. Then the doctor said we will probably do the Mag 3 Renal scan again but we will wait until he his probably 2 or so. As long as he has no infections or blood in the urine the doctor seems to think all will be okay! I hope he is right! I hope the "suspicious area" doesn't grow.... I wish it would just go away!
