Fun Weekend!
We visited with family and had a lot of fun playing games and hanging out with them. Alley got to play the Wii at Aunt Kim's house. She is getting really good at bowling! Then she played boxing and kicked daddy's butt. She loves it. We need to get one! She had fun playing slap jack with Aunt Kim and it was funny to watch her, she really got into it! We also went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Laub. Alley didn't want to leave. She loves playing over there. We are so lucky to live near so much family. We get to hang out any time we want!
We went to hit softballs one day (co-ed has started and I haven't played for over a year, since I took a break while pregnant, so I need to practice up.. :)) The girls had fun gathering up all the balls I had hit and throwing them back to us. Of course, they always love to play at the park and they had fun also watching mommy and daddy try to do the monkey bars and flip over bars like we use to do. Man, remember how easy it use to be? Artie and I were laughing sooooo hard at eachother. We looked like old people trying to do tricks. hahaha, it was fun! We haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I love when we just get to hang out together and do simple and fun things. It seems those are the funnest times!

KIDS say the CUTEST tHiNgS
Valentines Day!
For our Valentines Dinner I made breakfast. We had Pink pancake hearts and heart sausage and strawberry milk! Not much, but the girls loved it. They thought I was so cool to make pink pancake hearts.
The girls are finally feeling better... FINALLY! That was the worst... and poor Alley missed her Valentines party yesterday, but we dropped off her Valentines for her class and she got plenty from the other kids too!
STORMY WEATHER!
So, last night was crazy weather here. The wind was CRAZY and the power went out all over town, no street lights, no lights anywhere...it was pitch black. I was at my mom and dads with the kids and Artie was home. It woudn't have been too bad but the wind was so strong and we kept hearing things hit the house. The girls were getting a little scared, but we soon found all the flash lights, lit all the candles & propane lanterns that my mom and dad had, and we were great! I wished Artie was with us, even though I knew everything was going to be okay. I hate being away from him at times like those. Plus, my cell had no service and I couldn't get a hold of him. It kinda makes you panic for a minute when something like that happens. Anyway, we survived! :) Finally the wind eventually died and all the power came back on after about 2 hours. The girls were ready to be home safe and sound after that! Ammon pretty much slept through the whole thing!
After things like that it always reminds me of when I was little. I didn't like when it stormed much (I still don't.... I'm not a big fan of the WIND OR LIGHTNING!) But, anyway... everytime it was lightning or something in the middle of the night, I would go to my brothers' room and just stand in the doorway... soon I'd get closer to their bed and just stare at them until finally Randy would wake up and say... "get in." He knew I was scared. So, often the 3 of us would sleep in their big water bed! :) Good memories! I'm glad I now have Artie by my side to cuddle with everytime I jump and freak out over the lightning! :)

Happy Birthday Artie!
Artie's Birthday was on Saturday... He turned the big 29. His birthday is on Ground Hogs Day so I put a ground hog on the cake. :) We had a fun time just hanging out that day and then later that night we went out to dinner with some friends. Artie and I, Blue & Juwlz, Shannon & Rocki, and Nick & Steph all went to dinner at Falcon Ridge. We had a good time. We then picked the kids up and went back to our house for Icecream Cake! Yum! I'm hoping he had a good birthday! I can't believe we are gonna be 30 soon! Scary! Anyway, I love you honey, HaPpY BiRtHdAy!

A Day in the LIFE....Of ME...
Friday, February 1, 2008
President Gordon B. Hinckley
"Now, in conclusion, I hope that all of you will remember that on this Sabbath day you heard me bear my witness that this is God’s holy work. The vision given the Prophet Joseph in the grove of Palmyra was not an imaginary thing. It was real. It occurred in the broad light of day. Both the Father and the Son spoke to the boy. He saw Them standing in the air above him. He heard Their voices. He gave heed to Their instruction. It was the resurrected Lord who was introduced by His Father, the great God of the universe. For the first time in recorded
history, both the Father and the Son appeared together to part the curtains and open this, the last and final dispensation, the dispensation of the fulness of times.
The Book of Mormon is all that it purports to be—a work recorded by prophets who lived anciently and whose words have come forth “to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God, manifesting himself unto all nations” (Book of Mormon title page).
The priesthood has been restored under the hands of John the Baptist and Peter, James, and John. All the keys and authority pertaining to eternal life are exercised in this Church.
Joseph Smith was and is a prophet, the great Prophet of this dispensation. This Church, which carries the name of the Redeemer, is true.
I leave you my testimony, my witness, and my love for each of
you, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
President Gordon B. Hinckley
