Mini Library Card Notebooks with Kim Stewart

Mini Library Card Notebooks
Curtsey  Boutique Designer
Kim Stewart

Kim created a few mini notebooks using our monthly and daily library cards.

For these little books she just folded the library card in half and cut some lined paper to fit and then sewed them down the middle of the fold.  I painted a few water colored cards to glue on the top.

Curtsey Boutique blue and white baker's twine was the perfect finishing touch to bundle them up.

Headed to a New Year's Eve party and need to give the host or hostess something with a bit of sparkle?  Kim hand painted the stripes on our muslin bags with a metallic finish acrylic paint. She topped the bags off with colorful sewn pennant.

Our muslin bags can be found here in the shop:

This year has been a wonderful one here at the Curtsey Boutique and we can't wait to see what next year brings.

Be safe and have fun tonight!

Gold Spray Painted Christmas Gift Boxes
Curtsey Boutique Designer
Kim Stewart

Kim used our 2x2x2, 4x4x4 krafts boxes and kraft tape to decorate these pretty gifts.

She spray painted the boxes a beautiful shade of gold and loved how they came out. Kim used the star burst labels as masks on the boxes. She adhered them and than spray painted over them. The kraft boxes have a bit of a finish to them so removing the labels was mess free. Once the stickers were removed they left the star burst shape in the kraft color, contrasting nicely with the gold spray paint.

The bow was made using our kraft tape. Kim folded sections of tape into loops and than layered each loop one on top of another until she liked the way it looked.  The bow was also spray painted.

The final touch on the smaller box was one of our snowflake rosettes that was also hit with a bit of gold spray paint.

Stamped Muslin Bag with Kim Stewart

Today we are sharing a sweet little gift bag made by DT member Kim Stewart.  Kim stamped on a muslin bag, then used some Baker's Twine to sew on a fabric paper tree that she glittered for an extra festive touch.
We especially love the handmade detail of sewing the tree on with twine!  Check out these bags and all the supplies needed to embellish them for gift wrapping in our store.  Thanks for sharing, Kim!

Kim shares a clever tutorial on how to make this lovely mini album from our library cards.

1. Gather 5 - 10 library cards.

This album would be perfect for a December Daily, gratitude journal, or even as a card where you get to that special someone all the things you love about them.

Library Pocket Butterfly Card with Kim Stewart

Butterfly Library Pocket Card

Kim made a little card using the library cards and pockets.  She  made a collage butterfly to staple onto the manila pocket.  It's such an easy project that you can make using found office supplies and tags you have just laying around.  Then add a sentiment of stickers or hand written journaling.

I am excited to introduce Kim Stewart and her lovely artwork to you. Her first project is this sweet packaging set.

"I always like to keep a stash of little altered tags around for gifts and things. They are perfect for adding little hearts, some machine sewing, stickers, you can even stamp and paint them!  For this project I added a few altered tags and a flower all held together with a cute clothespin."
