O’Spada is a five piece based in Stockholm.
epic proportions as their unique brand of vintage pop
has captivated audiences around the world.
Up and coming Swedish band O'Spada met while they were studying
music and have been playing together for two and a half years.
The band's five members come from different corners of the country
and their unique sound combines influences as diverse as soul,
rock, hip-hop and funk. They are currently putting the final touches
to their debut album, set to take the industry by storm,
and they play us an electrifying sample of what's to come on
this final edition of a Cosy Summer Series.

On this week's Special+live edition 4 of A Cosy Summer Series.
After family period for a long weekend and A cosy survey,
it was even harder for Wolf to believe that Hawthorne was also the lead vocalist.
Few expect such heartfelt sentiment to come from a 29-year-old white kid from
Ann Arbor, but he has caught the ear of his family at Stones Throw, as well as
BBC Radio 1 host Gilles Peterson and producer/DJ Mark Ronson.
The “retro” tag is added to almost any contemporary work that sounds like it was
originally recorded between 1966 and 1974, and Hawthorne,
among the newest contributors to the genre, is aware of how trends come and go.

— The Lodger
The Lodger was formulated by Pontefract-born songwriter Ben Siddall
inside a Leeds bedsit. After a few 7-inch singles on a variety of
independent labels such as Angular Records and Dance to the Radio,
a debut album titled “Grown-Ups” was released in June 2007 around the world.
This was swiftly followed up by a second record in May 2008, “Life is Sweet”
which was again licensed to various labels all over the universe including
the legendary Slumberland Records in the USA and coincided with tours
of UK, Europe, Japan and USA.
Their most recent album, Flashbacks mixes their earlier upbeat brit-pop

To kick off your summer weekends in the Songkran Water Festival,
on the Thai New Year, Portastudio has a new audio show featuring live music
from our favourite artists. The launch edition of A Cosy Summer Series
comes to you from My Country with Family joining us in the playlist.
We have also flown in some great musical talent from Stockholm
in the form of Quiet Nights Orchestra, who perform their sunny tunes for our panel
which also includes the Portastylistic, Portastylista and our lovely sister Aüm

— The Quiet Nights Orchestra
Swedish jazz band Quiet Nights Orchestra dazzle us again this year with
music from their forthcoming album Trombonist Peter Fredriksson formed
the Quiet Nights Orchestra as an instrumental sextet in 2006.
Influenced by Blue Note, 1960s jazz and global nujazz, the band has subsequently
grown to eight members, and now includes young vocalist Sofie Norling.
In April 2009, the Stockholm-based ensembles' first album, Chapter One,
