Cape Lookout

For the second year in a row we camped at Cape Lookout. This year we brought friends and family. My sister happened to be in town with her kids, Nates sister and her family came and his buddy and plumbing co-worker brought his family! Here we are claming. It was my first time and it was soooo fun! Everybodys busy looking for holes in the sand that will indicate a potentially buried clam. We found a ton and had homemade chowder that night for dinner it was very yummy.
Aubrey and Sydney will play in the sand for hours. They love digging and running around. All the kids spent hours at the beach and seemed to never get tired of it. One night we had a bonfire on the beach and they all played and played!

Theres me and my big sister. She lives in South Carolina and only comes once a year. When she mentioned coming this week I told her we have camping reservations and she was super excited because her family had NEVER been camping. So it worked out GREAT. She's a super big help with the twins, cooking, cleaning, anything. I love it!
A couple of my nephews. The red head is Nate's sister's son Daniel, and the other is my sisters son, Matt. We had 11 kids under the age of 10, 5 teenages, and two dogs. We ate tons of marshmellows, the kids rode their bikes and scooters everywhere, became JR Beavers, and you can see how fabulous the weather was.
Kelsey and her cousin Katie. They're 3 months apart and bestest buddies. We couldn't keep the kids out of the water. They are soooo crazy. We also explored tidepools and flew kites. It was a wonderful trip that we topped off with with ice cream at the cheese factory.
We all already can't wait to go back next year!

Count us in - I hope!!! If the house doesn't sell I will schedule my 2 weeks around Katie birthday time.
Thanks for all the fun. We had a great time. I haven't talked too much to the kids they just keep sleeping. Today was my first morning with no kids while getting ready for work. It went way to fast. Now we just have to try to be patient I guess. I told Matt I was working and extra and he said "So we can go back to Oregon soon?" I hate to make flight plans - hoping the house will sell and we can move instead. But, I think this is the year we should spend Christmas in Oregon.
Love ya Kel!
