Life Is Beautiful

Hi friends! It's Monique here sharing a 12x12 layout using some new cut files from The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store: "Instant Camera" and "Quirky Quotes". I always love using frames on my layouts, so when I saw the new Instant Camera cut files I wanted to use them straight away. The "limited edition" quote from the Quirky Quotes cut file can be used on any layout so I cut that too. Here's what I did:

And these are the cut files I used:

The collection I used is from Fancy Pants and is called "Life Is Beautiful". I just love the bright and happy colors of this collection! They were just perfect for the photos of my son and one of his friends having fun in the "Efteling", which is the most famous amusement park in The Netherlands.

Here are a few close-ups of the four Instant Camera frames. I cut them at the size 8 cm x 12 cm (which is a bit larger than 3"x 4.5") and glued a little piece of patterned paper behind the lower half of the frame. Next I also matted all of them and behind two of the frames I also added a photo. I arranged them evenly on my page and embellished them. The machine stitching and the journaling was added last.

And also a close-up of the Quirky Quotes quote I used:

This is it! Hope you like it! Thank you so much for stopping by and don't forget to have a look in The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store to check out the latest new cut files.

First Day of School

Hi Everyone! It's Michelle here today with a new layout share featuring the You've Been Schooled cut file. It was the perfect chance for me to use it as Leila started school a few weeks back.

Like most of my layouts, I've made the cut file a HUGE focal point on the page. I backed the design with papers from the new Wild at Heart collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio, then hand stitched in random places to create a little extra texture. The entire cut file piece, along with the photo stack, were then popped up from the background paper with foam tape to create some dimension. I've fussy cut some butterflies from pattern papers within the collection to use as embellishments, and added in a few die cut pieces from the ephemera pack, plus glitter dots to finish the layout off.

Here's a look at the Cut file set I chose the title from. Theres plenty more fun designs to use within this one set, so its well worth talking a look at if you have school aged children

Here's some close ups of the layout

I've used the inner cut piece from the star on the right of the cut file within a cluster on the left of the photo. I try to do this with most cut files to avoid too much paper waste.

I've used crochet thread in multiple places around the file by either stitching multiple times or tying it together

I had some extra photos from the day so rather than use them on a completely different layout, I've shrunk them down and used them within the O's of the word school.

That's all form me today, thanks so much for stopping by. Be sure to check out The Cut Shoppe Etsy store for all your cut file needs, theres so much to choose from!

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

Lots of Love . . . Literally

Hey everyone! It's Jennifer today sharing a layout created with the Lucky in Love 12x12 cut file from The Cut Shoppe along with the gorgeous We R Memory Keepers CMYK Rose stamp kit.

This layout is one of those projects that just kind of happened. I was playing with my new stamps one night and decided it would be fun to try to create my own patterned paper. Stamping is not usually my "thing," but I had to have this rose stamp when I saw it and have absolutely fallen in love.

Because the background paper is very busy, I decided to again use white cardstock to cut the Lucky in Love file. Once it was cut, I attached it using machine stitching on each of the hearts and left the cut threads long to give a bit of fun texture.

I chose to keep the embellishments to a minimum and used pieces from a few Crate Paper collections.

I love that simply using white cardstock, a cut file, stamp, and a few embellishments can create such a wow factor.  The finished layout is bright and beautiful and works so well with the black and white photo.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Be sure to visit The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store for this and many other fantastic cut files!

I used these cut files-

In the Silhouette software I outlined my title, to create another layer that will help it pop more.

I love using wreathes on my layout, like the one from the Spring Fling cut file, they add so much, not a lot more is needed to create a beautiful simple layout.

Supplies: Papers- American Crafts cardstock; Felicity Jane patterned paper, labels, flair and puffy stickers. Shimelle & Dear Lizzy puffy stickers.

Thanks for visiting and check out the Cut Shoppe for these cut files and many more!

Limited Edition

Hello scrappy friends! It's Zinia here sharing a layout I create with some of the most recent designs from The Cut Shoppe store.

The cut files are used are Instant Camera and Quirky Quotes. I wanted to make a grid using the lovely frame designs but I cut my paper pieces a bit too small and I failed aligning them properly in my Silhouette mat. So I had to re-think the whole design and find a creative way to use my pieces cause I didn't want to waste that pretty paper.

I ended up layering the frames on the side of the page creating a big cluster of photos and embellishments. I used different little pieces to hide the badly cut sides so that nobody could tell there was a mistake behind these lovely layers.

I used a mix of the American Crafts Hazelwood collection and some of my favorite Maggie Holmes lines. They worked out really well with the pastel colors and the pops of bold details.

So that's it. I really hope you enjoyed this layout and the little tricks I used to cover my "failed" cuts. I will see you again soon with another project. Till then, happy scrapping!

Love

Hello there! Today I'm sharing a fun and springy layout using the Flower Delivery cut file. This is one of my favorites ever because I love flowers, and it's so versatile!

This layout was super easy and fun to make! I cut a bunch of flowers out from white cardstock, and backed them using a 6"x6" paper pad. Next, I cut out plain flowers from a piece of rainbow striped patterened paper. I arranged the flowers messily across the center of the page, and added some more flower die cuts. I also uses a modeling paste and stencil to get the splatter effect. Once I had everything arranged, I glued it down and then added my photo. My title came next, and then the beautiful butterfly! I finished off with a few coordinating puffy stickers, and corners at the edges of the layout. I love it!

I love how girly and springy it looks. This is my second layout using the Floral Delivery cut file, and I know there will be many more in my future!
