Happy Dance!

Oh my gosh...I got the cover!!! I got the cover!!! I made the chicken card on the left...Isn't she darling?! She is one of the sets I used a lot while I was guest designing for Paper Pretties!

And the icing on the cake...I also had 7 other cards picked up!

Even better...I know a few blogger friends who also had cards picked up! :) Love seeing my crafty sisters in print!

Thanks for celebrating with me. As for DH, he is happy for me, but you know...I don't think he gets it. Or maybe he is just thinking "how much is this gonna cost me"? ;) Just adds fuel to my fire, honey! Thanks for putting up with my addiction to paper!

Falling in Love with Ketto!

Fall is my favorite season! I just love the changing colors, the crisp air...unfortunately, in Alaska, we only get 2 weeks of it! I woke to the "s" word on Sunday! It was only a dusting, but still! :)

I made this card for Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday's weekly challenge and for Bellarific Friday, as they both called for Fall Themed cards! Additionally, Flutterby Wednesday's theme was open this week, so I got this in just in time!

I could not resist this navy gingham ribbon I found in my stash! It guided my whole project this week.

I do have some fun news to share! First off, I won the Artist Pick from Hand Stamped Sentiments for my card made in the post below. Then, I got 4 cards published in the latest issue (Fall 2010) edition of Just Cards! I think this deserves some sort of celebration! What shall I get myself as a "reward"?? :) Unfortunately I just spent a good bit on some Decor Elements for the house, so I am looking at the reward on my wall! And boy, are they pretty! I will have to post some pics so you can see, too!

Time Warp

It is Fall in January, kind of like Christmas in July, but with a twist! :)

I made this card back in November and I did not want to wait any longer to post it. This is one of my favorite SU sets!

What makes this card even better is that a friend of mine bought the yummy ribbon while on a trip to Korea! Isn't it fun? I just screamed "country" to me and I could not wait to use it with this set.

For some additional FUN news...I got 5 cards picked up in the newest edition of Just Cards (Volume 16, Winter 2010)! :) My husband did a mental eye roll when I showed him...he knows things like this only add fuel to my crafting "needs" vs. "wants" list! ;) Good thing my resolution this year it to use the stash! Of course...that starts AFTER Sale-A-Bration! ;)

Retail Therapy

I always get really, really excited when Just Cards arrives in my mailbox. I have been submitting cards there regularly for almost a year now. I get a little hopeful that by chance, one of mine will get picked up.

Volume 13 arrived today...and I tore into it right in the Post Office parking lot! Woo Hoo! 4 cards made this issue!

DH and I had a chance to Skype earlier so I shared my excitement with him! He emphatically said "That's great Babe, but how much is this going to cost me?"

Oh, he knows me so well...LOL...how 'bout some new Nesties?? :)
