Step Up 3D!!! Tuesday, August 31, 2010 OMG STEP UP 3D IS AWESOME!!! :D :D :D Totally WOWWW!!! :D :D :D My favourite scene was the dance sequence to remix of the song “I won’t Dance” by Fred Astaire. and YES. The link to the ENTIRE MUSIC LIST OF SONGS in the movie! I'm gonna be busyyyy.. :D :D :Dhttp://soundtrack-movie.com/2010/07/step-up-3.html "we're all plugged into the same song" Almost deja vu. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 I can't believe it. How did I make that same stupid mistake. It was the exact same scenario. Right Turn, green light no arrow. TAXI. My goodness. and the worst part was, it was so close to home. Plus my parents were inside (I picked them up from the airport). Thank God there was no hit and we're all ok. Mum's reprimand was the twist of the stab. That old memory suddenly resurfaced - I felt that same sickening weight sink in. It was horrible. Thank goodness for choir practice. After dropping my parents, I was in the house for a few seconds and had to get out. It was that "after crash feeling", which was too familiar and ultimately sucked. Practising "O Holy Night" really did distract me and calm my nerves. There is a very reassuring element in singing and hearing carols and hymns. On a brighter point, I did make my own lunch, with the help of my maid. Seafood stuffed Eggplant. http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1065488&adsqs=raid:1922193 I just used butter instead of cooking oil, and fish concentrate instead of beer. It was really yummy and I was rather satisfied! candyfreak Monday, August 23, 2010 Another life lesson learnt: There is no point looking for bread at 7am. After sending my sister to school, I have gone to every bread place I know in Gardens (includes NTUC, Cold Storage, 7-Elevens and Petrol kiosks) and there's nada. Zilch. Apparently, according to NTUC aunty, they only come at 8am. Sighhhzz. As I waited for time to go by, I finished reading this book called Candyfreak, by Steve Almond. His writing style is hilarious, entertaining and so comfortable to read. Fantastic (: and yes, the whole book was about candy. Apparently there are the Big Three in the candy industry - Nestle, Hershey and Mars. I'm insanely jealous that the author is damn slim (at least from his bio picture), despite being a candy addict, rofl. Must be one of those blessed with high metabolism rate. (http://www.stevenalmond.com/about-steve-almond.html) It's amazing how many different kinds of chocolates America has - no wonder they're huge! The only few I knew were Mars and Snickers. There's chocolate bars called 3 Musketeers, Idaho Candy, Goo goo clusters, Big Hunk.. he especially raves about a bar called the Caravelle, which I have never heard of. I especially wanna try a Valomilk! :D Too bad they seem to only sell it in US, 'cause it can't travel - the marshmallow filling will just leak, lol. http://www.valomilk.com/ http://www.idahospud.com/index.php http://www.googoo.com/ And for fun, there's this website where they show cross-sections of candy bars and ask you to guess. I failed terribly, HAHA :P http://www.thinkingfountain.org/c/crosssection/namethatbar.html On a side note, the birthday tsunami has begun - 3 birthdays this month + my parents' wedding anniversary (: It's been great to catch up with friends too - the highlight of my currently sedentary lifestyle, rofl :D | |
