Few days ago, I churned out a 70+ page paper for quali. I was in school in the evening printing the damn thing. I couldn't bind it, so I grabbed the first file I saw, which was, haha, ORANGE. Ah well. Brighten up the prof's day. Now, I just did the greatest editing of my life for a 25-page group paper. So tired. and I have now 4 days to rush 3 exams. Ultimate FREAK. Thought I'll write this down, now that I have a little time to breathe. Yes, there was a teefest (: It started 7th Nov (Sat). My sister's confirmation was on, and I was her Godma (you heard me! :P) We decided to do a combined celebration of mei's confirmation and my bday, so we went to this Chinese restaurant in an orchid nursery for dinner. Total yumz (: Next day, 8 Nov, Sun. My family usually goes out to eat dinner at night. Hence, they asked me what to eat cos, well, my bday hasn't arrived. So yes.. we went to StewHaus for dinner. Delicious stew (: Mum casually suggested that we skip dessert, since we're so full. When I reached home, I was in my room when i heard rustling outside my door. I heard my sister whisper to my bro, "whisper whisper whisper STALL! whisper". He then entered my room, and kinda hung around and talked to me (which was nothing unusual, except the whispering earlier, lol). Mum then called me out. They set a table with a small little bday cake (: It was a very simple yet sweet surprise (: 9 Nov, Mon. Wanyi passed me her traditional purple packet and wished me happy birthday! :D 10 Nov, Tues. I entered into class damn tired. My classmate then went to me, and said "Sarah! it's your bday tmr right? Happy birthday!" and gave me ferro rochere. Touched (: Did welfare paper until 11.30pm, latest I have ever been in school. Liv then decided to bring me whereever I wanted for my bday. Hence, with my terrible directions and her great driving, we landed at the Teaparty, where she tried the scones for the first time. Totally happy with the tea and scone (no choc chip, but cranberry was not too bad (: ) Thanks liv! (: 11 Nov, Wed. I spent the morning doing paper, and the afternoon working on my quali paper, then chilling. At night, my parents decided to bring me out for dinner (yes again, lol!), so we ended at Cocoa Steamboat (: After which, I met Jo and Wing for a short while. They treated me to cute green tea cake (: 13 Nov, Fri. I went out with the CJ gals at night. We ate duck noodles at Toa Payoh, had a blast with dong's DSLR. They told us nov babes to go for a walk, which we did. Came back to a slide of choc cake (which neither of us could finish, lol! Sorry! :P), and sweet gifts (: I love my speaker :D 14 Nov, Sat. I went out with my Ij buddies. We ate at this Balinese place in Dhoby Ghaut, where it served pretty good Northern Indian food. We then headed to Clarke Quay, where I drank at The Clinic for the first time. Drinks were ok, but the service was terrible. Didn't feel welcome at all. Opened my present from them, gasped and smiled - my speaker has a friend! Cool :D 15 Nov, Sun. After singing for mass (Jocelyn played the piano, and there were only 3 guys and me singing), we went for lunch. The guys suggested Sushi Tei, so I met them there with my bro's Sushi Tei card. We ordered quite a lot of food to share, but I was damn happy (: Then, these 2 desserts came - little choc slabs, and this caramel pudding. I was like "oh! you guys ordered dessert so fast?". Then they starting singing and didn't finish - they ended up laughing, rofl :P "Sorry ya, we're guys, so we're not very good at this.." LOL. I was pleasantly surprised - I didn't expect a celebration. (: 20 Nov, Tmr. Going out with Gen and Jo. Looking forward to it (: Thank you all for making my bday very special! Ultimate gan dong (: Loves!!! *BIGGEST HUGS IN THE WORLD* A little more time... Thursday, November 05, 2009 A little more time.. I wish I had more time. There is a sense of accomplishment actually, in writing papers. After all, the whole freakin' thing is a damn lot of work. It's just too many at one shot = OMG WTH STRESS!!! Plus all the other stuff that has to give way/ compromise with it (family, friends, skipped lects with char - sorry!!!- , sleep, sleep). rush rush rush. Sorry :( thank goodness for music (: Then again.. schoolwork is just schoolwork. There's gotta be more to life aye ;) That is my firm belief. I did a 10km run for the first time. Great Eastern. It's like a feminist fest, LOL. Quite cool to see so many women together - men, we're a force to reckon with! :P The start was quite funny, it was like a march.. Red Guards? Haha. ok i know, actually not funny ;) I took quite a while to run (due to lack of training and time). Nonetheless.. I really enjoyed it. I like running by myself with my music, and the scenery was amazing. We zip past each other and on the roads so fast, that we don't notice the sights. On Nicoll highway, the CDB area on the left totally contrasts with the residential areas on the right. [haha, urban socio? :P] Nonetheless, combined with the first few rays of light (cos it started off cloudy), the whole thing can be a painting. I wanna watch a movieeeeeee.. I wanna run. I wanna do many many things!! Anyway, it's now nearly 3am. Presentation tmr *eeks*. Hope it'll go all right. On the bright side, other things just serve to bring a smile to your face (: me: (imitates poignantly) Remember, remember, the 5th of November.. - liv: (eyes widens and exclaims) WHAT HAPPENED?? | |
