I love my red nano (:

I love my RED nano (:

OMG. I just explored my new nano today (because I've just been too busy. Actually I should be working now, but I'm totally procrastinating :P) and I must say, it's FANTASTIC :D :D :D

1) I can tune to RADIO.
I can bookmark my favourite stations. I can pause the radio (yes, PAUSE RADIO) and continue where I left off. I can tune into radio of 5 regions - America, Asia, Australia, Europe, and Japan. Goodbye old chunky walkman from the past!

2) It has an internal, in-built SPEAKERS.
The speaker is where you plug in your earphones. Initially I couldn't hear much in Far East. When I'm home, it's damn shiok lah!! (:

3) It has a PEDOMETER.
YES. It can record how many steps I take for running. It can set a daily goal, take my weight and calcuate how many calories I've lost.

4) It has VOICE MEMO.
I can record messages! It has an in-built microphone. WOW!!

5) It has Video with VIDEO EFFECTS
15 video effects (plus a Normal setting). Eg. Sepia, Black & White, Film Grain, Cyborg, Kaleido, Twirl, and Stretch. Sounds FUN :P

Apparently it will also have a Voice over, that narrates the song and the singer. Supposedly for the blind, so they can use the nano too.

Boomz! HAHA :P

few months short of entry.

I probably am not going to be online as often. Lots of work to do which has snowballed into an absurd overwhelming pile of "Crappppp!!!!". LOL. Also, I'm attempting (yes, again, feebly, but nonetheless) to get up to run. I think that requires more determination, HAHA.

Changed my tagboard, cos flooble is being weird. I'm not too sure what was last written, so apologies to those I have not replied - I blame flooble :P

Last night, Mei and I tried to watch "The Ugly Truth" (it's NC16 -_-). Got the tickets, but didn't make it past the 'guai kia' movie guy. We think he's a new guy eager to do well at his work, and just couldn't turn a blind eye on my sister's age. Damnit. We were damn sad. We just kept on comforting ourselves with "but at least they refunded us.." rofl. Thank goodness for Sushi Tei - the ultimate food comfort shared by us teelets. HAHA :D

With wing, we were "the 3 angry sad women". However, combine popcorn from the unwatched movie, Video Ezy and the comfort of home, it wasn't so bad after all (:

Just a closer walk with Thee

Just a closer walk with Thee

Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

I am weak, but Thou art strong;
Jesus, keep me from all wrong;
I’ll be satisfied as long
As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.

Through this world of toil and snares,
If I falter, Lord, who cares?
Who with me my burden shares?
None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.

When my feeble life is o’er,
Time for me will be no more;
Guide me gently, safely o’er
To Thy kingdom shore, to Thy shore.

A powerful quote in this age (:

A powerful quote in this age (:

Eugene Petersen writes:

"Every day I put love on the line. There's nothing I am less good at. I am far better in competition than love; far better at responding to my instincts to get ahead, than at figuring out how to love another. I'm schooled and trained in getting my own way. And yet I decide every day to set aside what I do best, and attempt to do what I do very clumsily - open myself to the frustrations and failures of loving, daring to believe that failing in love is better than succeeding in pride."

more to life

Walking back from church tonight, with everything quiet and peaceful, with few cars driving past.. momentarily made me forget where I was. It was so welcomed, it surprised me.

I've been busy with school. Being really diligent by doing readings, but feeling rather idiotic because I can't explain them at times and have trouble thinking on the spot. I'm tired. Even with a good night's sleep, fatigue still lingers. Plus it doesn't help that fitness is down, and changing it requires the time and discipline I have yet to fortify in myself. Yet.. I know what I'm doing in school is nothing compared to what other people are working hard at. It's a heavy workload, which is daunting. However, a little voice keeps on reminding me..

"there's more to life than school".

and there is. There's family, there's friends, there's a world to explore and fears to overcome. There's parts of Singapore I have not yet found, there are food that I have not eaten.. there's so much..

I spoke to a friend of mine, who told me that there aren't many people like me, who gives notes readily instead of being reluctant or harbouring competitive intentions, who doesn't stay back to mug after school but runs off to watch movies, who she can talk and laugh with and go out with. She didn't realise it.. but it was a real affirmation to me. That yes.. I do like this person she's describing.. I do like who I am. and I never thought the ghosts of my past which I took so long to let go, would help someone with the present. It's amazing.

Keep moving forward. I've gotta get that dvd (:
