Tonight: Electrico, Baybeats@Esplanade! Saturday, August 30, 2008 Tonight: Electrico, Baybeats@Esplanade! I'm super excited!! Tonight's Electrico!! :D and to my surprise, it is also Baybeats @ Esplanade!!! :) Super happy and excited!!! :) :) :) Anyway.. it's been busy since school started. I realised that for my sociology readings, I have to read up consistently before going to lecture, cos otherwise.. I have not much idea what the lecturer is saying. And.. the readings are just too dry - if I don't read them now, I'll prolly pass out in boredom when I read them collectively. Urgh. and I never thought I'll be doing Biology again, rofl. Thank goodness I have my lame but lovable brudder :) Thanks for making it, well.. haha, yes, more interesting :P I realised the last time I blogged was the night before I went to HL's house, to help her with her 21st birthday! ROFL :P It was indeed a memorable event :) It has been a while since we all came together to do something. We're really damn efficient man :D I believe it's thanks to our RC background and our chemistry with each other ;) It rained the next day, but indeed the Lord provides :) Turns out there was an event called Family Day next to us - they had set up tents and ended early! so we just conveniently used one :) I thought the whole event was rather homely. Plus, it was good and interesting to see who HL's friends are, especially since she talks about them so often :) I know this is really belated.. but Happy 21st Birthday HL!! :) You held a great party, but most importantly, we're blessed to have you ;) [it's not that mushy la, so stop eww-ing :P] and enough with the battles manz! ;P and while I'm at it.. (ok, they're ALL belated la :P) Happy 21st Birthday Jo! :D - Blue for you! :P Happy 21st Birthday Daniel! :D - but raisins still suck, HAHA :P Happy 21st Birthday Genevieve! :D - Hope ya party was a bash! ;) Happy Anniversary Mum & Dad! :D - Glad you enjoyed your holiday! :) [If I left out anyone, let me know!! Sorry in Advance! :P] I'm broke. I've never been so broke before. It is utterly horrifying. 2 more days to next month, woo hoo!!! :D :D :D It's just so hard to save. Gah. Well, these times in poverty made me realised where my expenses usually go.. I must cut down on my food and snacking!!! BE DETERMINED!!! Okie then, I gotta go. Gonna meet Wing at McCafe to study. Yosh!! :D By the way.. who wants to go to the museums in Singapore with me?? (: Ewww :( Friday, August 22, 2008 Ewww :( OMG. There's a HUGE SPIDER in my room!!! crap crap crap. The moment I saw it crawling across my wall, I ran into my brother's room. He tried to catch the bugger, but it was too fast! Then he sprayed insecticide all below my bed. However, when I used a flashlight to check, there was no spider body!! Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! I don't wanna sleep with a big half-alive spider!!! :( :( :( I shall pray it sleeps and stays where it is while I sleep, and goes away when I wake. transcendence. Monday, August 11, 2008 transcendence. It's already August.. and sadly, the end of school holidays. Unfortunately.. I feel I have wasted yet another summer hols. Nonetheless.. somehow I don't exactly regret it as much as the previous one. I guess.. perhaps cos this summer hols.. it's because I caught up with a lot of friends.. so.. it feels more meaningful. (: I realised.. I'm becoming more and more familiar with the airport. Sending friends off.. receiving them back home.. it keeps on reminding me of change. That in a couple of years.. instead of hanging out the whole day, we'll be only chatting through MSN and actually meeting each other late at night for dinner or drinks because of work. That as a result of more intense global international activities, more and more of us will be living the life of a global worker, flying to and fro, interacting through webcams and emails.. and have conversations like a friend of mine enacted, "Oh you're in Hong Kong? I'm in Australia now. Tell you what.. I'll transit in HK and meet you for lunch, then I gotta fly to Paris for work." That I actually have to think for my future. transcendence. limbo. Ironically.. though i strongly believe in separating sociology and real life.. sometimes, I find some sociologically articles circling in my head and making sense to reality. Sociology of Youth. Urban Sociology. The fact that it's actually in sociology indicates that the majority of society is prolly experiencing the same thing. Which is comforting, yet troubling. The vastness of choices.. a blessing and a curse. Carpe diem? Get lost in the tide? Or ahead of the curve? My perfect world is shattering. the world of transcendence. limbo. Alas.. change transcends too. Mythbuster! Mythbuster! for a day :P Myth: Often, we have heard mothers telling their children, "You can only drink 1 bottle of Yakult a day! Otherwise, you'll get stomachache!!" However.. is that really true? ;) Experiment: Drink 2 bottles of Yakult at one stop and well.. wait for effects. With the encouragement of my siblings, especially my bro.. I did, lol. Result: No stomachache. In fact.. I ate a lot of stuff after that, rofl!! :P Hence.. MYTH: BUSTED Haha.. cheap thrill la.. but.. it really was quite fun.. and it was, in a way.. rather thrilling :) P.S.
