Haha, it has been a while :)

I'm now 80% of good health. Thanks to all dear friends for all care and concern :)

I love Fuji Xerox's latest advertisement. It's super pretty :D

Created to thrill. Created to blow your mind.
[What's the last one?]

This is another colourful pretty thing, sent to me by HL. These are quite funky.. I won't use them for wires though. Prolly use them to hold notes :) hike! :D

Here are just some ramblings and little things that have been happening lately:

Last Thurs:
Went to makan with Char, Auddie and Ming Li. We took photos in the deck.. super cartoon la. Refer to Auddie's blog :P

Selina, Wing, Jojo and I went to a hotel along Killiney Road to enjoy fine dining in support of Freda! :) The food was FABULOUS :D Loads of great laughter :)

Last Fri:
During Logic Lect, dear Char wrote down on her notes,

"inside's outside's tee"

It's supposed to be "t", but hey.. guess she can't get enough of me, rofl!!! :P

Last Sun:
Jia Min's 21st brithday!!! :) Hope you enjoyed yourself!!!
Achievement: I drove to Pasir Ris from home by MYSELF!!! :D YAYNESS :D :D :D

Today:
Omg. During SC3101 lecture, I was typing when the girl behind suddenly tapped my shoulder,
"Can you type softer? Your typing is very irritating."

Ouch. Talk about blow. I soon found out tha typing softly.. is a SKILL. My gosh.. I felt tired, but my notes were considerably shorter -_-

Later, I overslept on 151A, listening to my ipod. I was subsequently shouted at ["HEY!"] and kicked out of the bus, lol.

This is Wai Fu & Angela's online shop - they sell real funky accessories. They designed them themselves! :) I like the mushroom one :D Enjoy!

academic crisis.

Pluggin' into: Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd

I have had an academic crisis. For a while.. I was questioning myself, whether I should continue to be a Sociology major. I guess it's because of the modules I'm currently taking.. out of 3, I only genuinely like 1. The other 2 are probably the ones responsible for the doubts I had. Like.. I felt the material I was studying, seem to be just stretching occurrances and blowing things out of proportion. It seemed so.. fake.

I know I chose Sociology, because I could crap it i.e. I could just write my way through. This made me realise that I can only do so, if I don't have issues with whatever I'm writing. It kind of struck a nerve in me.

It was only when I had a good talk with Char on the way home [thanks char :) ]. She suggested that it was perhaps certain aspects of sociology I was not keen of, not the whole study itself. Those 2 modules I'm not extremely fond of, are more of anthropology - SC2220: Gender Studies and SC2213: Childhood & Youth.

[Definition of Anthropology: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/anthropology.
No worries.. takes me a while to get the meaning too, heh heh :P]

On the other hand, the one I'm like is SC3101: Social Thought and Theory. Perhaps I am more of a social theorist. I do like taking society as a whole..

It was quite daunting, having that thought. I'm already Year 2. Suddenly, I understood what a few friends of mine have been going through and omg, it's freaking scary.

Another thing I was thinking about, was how I realise that I have no other alternative. Like.. out of all the majors offered at FASS, there was no other major that I had interest in. I couldn't help but think of that movie "Accepted".. and the message it conveyed:

"Isn't university where you explore and do what you wanna do?"

Then again.. I guess I don't really know what I wanna do, so.. *shrugs*

The sky is endless.. yet, its very vastness, isolates.

Pluggin' into: Everything by Michael Buble
[Now I like 2 songs of his, lol. Congrats, Buble! :P]

I don't feel so good lately. I've a blocked nose, but the mucus is not green or anything. My ears were so blocked this morning that I couldn't hear myself properly. I feel thrown off balance and I still feel lethargic. Hence.. if I seem very out of it, well.. I am. Sorry if my behaviour is weird. Hopefully I feel better soon.

I told my mum.. and she went, "Take 2 panadol and go to sleep. I hope it's not dengue!" lol :P

Today, I met up with the Ij girls for breakfast at Toa Payoh's Burger King - yummy breakfast :D It's so good to see them all again. I love how we just lapse into conversation.. it's as if we met each other yesterday and simply picked up where we left. Sweet :)

Hui Luan and Serene had to go off to school, so Syl, Ali and I headed to CHIJ. Yep.. we went to visit Ms Yap to wish her happy teacher's day. I still prefer our secondary school before it was rebuilt.. somehow, it's so much more homely than the current building, which looks like it has gone through white-washing. At least there's more colour around, esp. the art works of the girls.. they're quite impressive, I must say =)

We had a nice chat with Ms Yap. Time does fly.. she's now the HOD of Maths. She fed us chocs, since she has a huge stash from teacher's day, while she ate her lunch. It felt good to catch up with her =)

Before we entered, Syl asked me about the primary school. She couldn't tell whether her memories were memories, or part of her dreams, lol. It was quite cool.. cos the moment she started describing, I felt like I was right there.. at the Sacred Heart.

Being back in IJ.. brought a lot of memories. As I walked though the gates.. I immediately saw the small black track.. the grand stand.. the blue tiles with notice boards.. the school bell.. the science labs.. the canteen.. the prefect room.. the red cross room.. the classrooms.. Nostalgia. I realised.. despite the many mistakes I've made.. I've had plenty of good times there too. After all.. that's where I met my dear IJ buddies ;) And as I step out the back gate past the coffee-shop.. as I move on with life.. a little piece of me misses IJ dearly.

I love the IJ Angel :)

Quick recap:

Sunday, I went to Rebecca's house for church choir. I forgot about her dogs.. thus, they have left their mark on my slippers, lol. Still.. I think her dogs are adorable. Collies.. someday, if I ever get a dog, I'll get one like them ;) We did some reflection and sharing over scripture (the mass we're gonna sing for).. and to me, I thought it was real good :)

Monday, I played badminton with Auddie and Char. I love the adrenalin.. not to mention the laughter, heh heh :P Looking forward to next game! :D :D :D

Tuesday, I watched 881 with Dad. I've never seen a theatre so packed with so many uncles and aunties in my life, rofl. OMG.. it is so funny!!! Plus, I think it's the best material for learning Hokkien! I feel more motivated now, heh heh! :P The ending was quite sad though.. I did cry a bit, haha. Behind me, I could hear "sniff sniff", "sob sob".. it was pretty amusing :P

It's back to readings again. Hopefully, I'll understand instead of just seeing.
