My Teesis: You don't need a lover to feel love :) Wednesday, February 14, 2007 I can honestly say, this Valentine's Day is one of my most memorable ones =) I started my day with a trip to the hair-dresser's. Mum indirectly forced me to get my haircut, lol. Had a nice chat with Uncle Peter. When he was done, I was initially quite surprised. I haven't noticed, but he did a real great job! I felt really pleased. Upon payment: Uncle Peter: Actually.. you should have gone with your mum last week. Now I have to charge you surcharge. Me: Ha? Don't want la.. Uncle Peter: Ok la ok la. No surcharge. Me: *grinz* Thanks Uncle Peter! Uncle Peter: But I have to charge you Uni price.. which means Adult rate. Muwahahahaa.. Me: *falls down* HAIZ. Sad.. k la k la. I still felt quite happy, cos no surcharge :P During which, a friend of mine send me a sms. I knew him from CJC leadership camp. Even though we don't know each other very well, it was still quite sweet of him. He sounded damn poor thing la.. spending valentine's with a group of men, in camp, with camp food - 'romantic', lol. This led me to deduce.. SAF = sad affected folks. Haiz. After which, I went to meet Char in town. That stupid gal was laughing most of the time la. We ate at Crystal Jade. The Fried Squid was super shiok la.. next time, can just forgo the Fried Yam Puffs and the Red Bean Paste thingy. Just eat Sotong :D After which, we went shopping around taka, wisma and heeren for a while. Thanks for a great time char! We're always so full of nonsense man, lol! Lovin' it! :D In the spirit of Valentine's, I shall forgive you for your laughter, muwahahahahaa :P We left at about 4plus - she was meeting her mum, I was meeting Hui Luan. At the MRT station, we waited for our train. Suddenly, this figure started walking towards us. It was Alicia! What a coincidence man! I haven't seen her for a long time! Was really happy to see her :) She had just finished her CNY shopping. In the end, she decided to skip eye-brow threading and join me in meeting up with HL. The 3 of us met up in City Hall Mrt. We went to eat in Asian Kitchen. HL had her fried rice, Ali had tofu (ewwwwwwwwwwww :P) We chatted for a while. It was great to catch up with each other - we're full of laughter as usual, lol! Though it was quite a short meeting, I still enjoyed myself tremendously! :D Thanks loads gals! You guys rock my world :D At about 6pm, HL left for her muay thai, Ali had to go home and I was meeting Jojo for a while to pass her something. She's another one.. started grinning like a jackass, haiz. We went to the Isetan supermarket cos she needed to get some stuff ;) It was real good to see ya, you silly monkaaaaaaay!!! :D :D :D Miss ya lots!!! After which, Jo was meeting Lingzhi and I left to meet my parents in PS. Haha, while taking the train, I met Charmaine's sister Pamela! Had a nice chat with her :D I met my parents in a Samsung shop and they had just bought a car phone charger. Dad is super cute. Me: ... Dad bought you a phone charger for Valentine's? Mum: *rolls eyes* Yar Lor! Lol. Super funny. Later on, when they both complained that they needed a drink, Dad suggested cheng teng... Mum: I'm not going to some hawker centre or food court for Valentine's! Me: No Daddy, No!!! We ended up in Gelare's, lol! :) Mum was happier, haha :P Even if it was rather impromptu, I still think my parents are sweet in their own, cartoon manner :) The whole time I was in town, I thought of something rather ironic. I saw plenty of bouquets of roses in all sorts of crepe paper. A few steps later, I saw plenty of those 'hawkers', selling bouquets of roses in all sorts of crepe paper. Go figure, Hwahahahahaha!!! :D I saw 2 couples with the best flowers - white lilies and white tulips. Simple, but elegant :) Today was a day I met up with so many of my loved ones. I received so many heart-warming sms-es and so many smiles from so many friends. Today I'm not hungry for love - on the contrary, I'm filled to my heart's content :) Thanks everyone.. for an absolutely fantastic, lovely day :D You don't need a lover to feel love. It's everywhere ;) Happy Valentine's! *Hugz* *Loves* Angel in Disguise. Monday, February 12, 2007 Omg. My nose is running like crazy. Gosh. Tonight's dinner was quite sweet. The 5 of us shared a tub of Ben&Jerry's Cookie Dough Ice Cream. I bought the tub, my bro scooped out the ice cream. Somehow.. it feels really good. Not only the ice cream (which was heavenly, by e way).. just the moment. Happy :) I think this song is rather heart-melting. Makes you want to have faith in the human race once more, haha. The best part is.. I was searching for it and found it on another blog. The air smells super nice. There's no sounds of construction or idiotic children screaming at each other. So this is what it's like.. a Sunday Morning. I was supposed to go for 1045 mass, but I realised that my grandma will be home alone. I decided to go for evening mass instead. It's super peaceful la.. maybe I should just go evening mass every sunday from now on, heh heh :P I went running with Therese (Howie!) yesterday. It felt fantastic. I finished the whole route - usually I just start walking from the market up the road back home. I should have been more considerate though.. Howie was walking at the later bit. Next week!!! :) Later, I drove her back home. She lives in Toa Payoh, so I figured I knew the route. Tp = Havoc. I wonder how my parents managed to drive me to school every morning when I was in IJ. Especially the section around the Bus Repair place, that later forks to Bradell and the bus divertion leading to Lorong Chuan. My gosh. It was the first time I was driving such a distance by myself. I was switching lane when suddenly this yellow van appeared in my blind spot. "SHIT." I was already switching, so I couldn't return. He honked me and slowed them quite a bit. Later on, I saw him being stopped by a taxi that halted for a passenger. After which, he passed me. The whole day, I was pondering over that yellow van, replaying to check whether I hit its front or anything. It suddenly dawned on me, "Shit. If I had hit that car, what if he can't afford the repairs? and has a family to feed? SHIT." I realised that when I'm alone in the car, i tend to be a bit reckless. Damn. I should be damn careful now. Anywayz, I've been watching loads of anime now. Haha, crunchyroll.. Currently I'm watching Bleach, Death Note, Negima?!, Monster and Nana. Go figure. I've also been making friends with Emile Durkheim, Karl Marx and Max Weber. I think Marx is becoming my favourite, cos he's so direct - "Exploitation!!!" :P Too bad he had insufficient planning - maybe if he had done so, the communist system would have become reality instead of a perceived utopia. Then again.. humans are unpredictatable, eh? ;) I was thinking to myself. Nowadays, I'm home doing stuff. I don't go out as often as before (no matter what my family says). At times, I catch myself thinking "what the hell am I doing this stuff for anyway?" Yet, I also know that this stuff I'm doing.. I can only do so because of my parents, my family and everyone who supported me and helped me to become what I am today. I miss my friends, but I also know that I won't die from not seeing them for a few weeks (I might faint if it's a few months though - and I love it every time we meet up! :D ). I think this has brought me closer to my family, along with my grandma's stay.. it feels sweet. Is this what growing up's about? The other day when I spoke to Amy online, she mentioned the Nus Experience. Haha. Then I recalled what HL said, "You and Serene are total opposites la. Both in Nus, but one is super active and involved and the other is not in any activity. You two should just exchange activities with each other!" Lol. What to do.. Serene likes to be on the go. I'm happy just lazing in my chair - like I am now *grinz* To be truthful.. what I would like to do.. is play basketball. That'll be cool :) A lot of feelings in this post. Honestly, at times I feel these terrible emotions, derived when I think too much and imagination runs berserk. This is the aftermath, the 'calming' of those emotions.
