Santa LY. Saturday, December 30, 2006 Haha, hence what my family has named me on Christmas day. Feels good, lol.. Well.. I know this is really late, but MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!! :D :D :D Today was my last work day of the month (presuming that they don't need help next week.. i pray they get GOOD new staff real soon..). Today convinced me that despite it being WORK, Sticky Rice has taught me a lot of things. Take today: Today, I was a bug exterminator. I killed 2 cockroaches and a flying insect that came from outside. I felt so proud. My shoes are at your service. Just got my results for exams and bidding for modules. Praise the Lord.. they're better than I expected. I'm doing Jap studies, Psychology, Sociology of Work, Sociology of Deviance, Methods of Sociological research. Now I have to look into tutorials. Too fast.. once again, i'm going into NUS -_- i wish the hols would last longer. Long enough for me to earn more money, go out and play mahjongg till i'm happy, lol. To a new year.. forward. Party on ;) Bloody working in a Santa's hat. Thursday, December 21, 2006 Haven't been blogging for quite a while.. first computer troubles.. then work.. then rain. Few more days to Christmas. Many things have been happening. Am quite tired from work, yet i'm quite surprised i'm awake at this hour when I have ork the next day. I guess that's how the head-waiter operates everyday. Busy day at Sticky rice. Prolly cos today it stopped raining. Most of all.. I was bloody working in a Santa cap - that sucked. Truthfully.. I don't really like hats, much less a bright red one that said "I do believe in Santa Claus". The kitchen pple were quite sweet though, esp. auntie when I went to her to whine.. they Willingly wore the caps in the kitchen though it's a hell on earth. Was so impressed that I didn't complain anymore. (well.. till they left, at least :P) 15th Dec: Went out with the Cj gals. Jo, char and I went to watch the holiday. Good show, highly recommended by Sarah :) Later we met Selina and yt for KTV. Felt good to sing.. shiok :) 16 Dec: I went to Syl's chalet. I was quite sad I had to leave early.. reading from the others' blogs, bowling and mahjongg sounded pretty fun, kekez. Even though it was short, I really enjoyed my time with the girls.. it felt so good to laugh that much again. Can't forget serene's good friend, the "rat" (mouse la..), who caused havoc, lol :P To Hui Luan, Serene, Sylvia & Alicia, I'm really sorry about the delay of your presents. Just to let you know.. I have them all already. It's just delivery, kekez ;) Yes, i feel great remorse =P Love ya babes *hugz* 17th Dec: Came home from chalet to sing for church choir. Tried to do parts.. it was fun nonetheless. We went to a restaurant called Hanabi in Bukit Timah for sashimi buffet. It was heavenly. Haha, aside from "poor Mum stuck in sashimi-land" (as son puts in), we were all extremely filling ourselves, hwahahaha!!! Happy Birthday Coco :) 18th Dec: It was Genesia's bday. We planned to meet at Heeren at 7pm for dinner at Billy Bombers. I did some Christmas shopping beforehand, and walked around in a shop called mini bits. Later, when jo and I went to get a table, i swung my bag which hit the chair. Something fell. To my horror, it was 2 necklaces from mini-bits worth $30 together. My gosh.. and for those who are wondering, i returned them la. I'm no shoplifter - hmph. =P It was quite funny to see the lady in charge of minibits plunge into confusion when i returned and explained it to her, heh heh. We later went to Balcony to chill and await the right optimum moment where the rain would be at its weakest for us to go home. On the way, I met my colleague - that was real nice. 19th Dec: Went out with char for lunch. The sweet girl helped me with my christmas shopping. Thanks to her, i now know wisma better than i have ever had in my life, lol. 'Twas real nice to just hang out.. yes dear, we're getting old ;) Thanks, PLT :) Later, I went to Mount Alvernia Hospital. My grandma was undergoing an operation for her knee to replace the cartillage in her left knee. I joined my mum in the waiting area. We shared a bag of crisps, to which she promptly declared "was the most expensive chips i've eaten - there were only 4 pieces". What to do.. she was reading a book, while i had nothing else to do but eat. Besides.. I'm faster :P Mama (grandma) came out wincing in pain. Man. As her 5 children took turns to nurse her, I felt really small.. like I was 9 instead of 19 years old and could do nothing but watch. Hope she'll get better soon.. i'll cheer her up when she comes to my house to recuperate. I have to go to Confession tmr. It's Christmas already.. It made me think about the past year. Mostly what I think of are regrets.. I feel like I have so many people to apologise to.. and that no matter how much I apologise.. it's never enough. Maybe i'm too hard on myself.. then again, why do I feel my heart wrenching when I think back? damnit. I've been reading novels lately. They make me stay up till 5am in the morning, but they're glorious. Loving them :) Better go. Otherwise i can't get up tmr. Then again, I'm not looking forward to Santa's hat. Cheers :) Silver bells.. Silver bells.. It's Christmas time in the city Ring-a-ling Hear them sing "It soon will be Christmas day.." it's just so pretty. Saturday, December 09, 2006 Haha, been out these days, non-stop since Tues. IT FEELS GOOD :) Made me miss the 8mths of holiday before uni.. looking back, it was heavenly paradise. I went to Vivocity with HL and Serene today. I BOUGHT CLOTHES!!! *gasp* :P Haha, really happy.. thanks gals! :D I'm looking for a nice red tank top now, kekez. I love my brother man. I thought my speakers were fine, but the ones he bought me ROCK. My gosh.. I didn't know the quality of my previous ones were THAT BAD. 'Twas real sweet of him :) Now I just have to fix my laptop, haiz.. I'll be going back to work at Sticky Rice next week. Hope I rmb how to serve - it has been a while. The extra cash would help, esp. since Christmas is coming!!! :D Haha, though i don't really like the song "It ends tonight" by All American Rejects.. I love the fireworks in their video. Too bad S'pore bans fireworks.. it's just so pretty :) I passed my driving test!!! Tuesday, December 05, 2006 I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :D :D :D Praise the Lord man. My gosh, It was so scary - i was so nervous that my throat went dry super quickly la.. 1) Heavy downpour. Just before the test. 2) Struck kerb during directional change. At first, my mind was going "OH SHIT SHIT SHIT." Then it went "NVM. TRUST IN THE LORD!" It was a blessing in disguise. 1) Heavy rain = not many cars on the road = no idiots trying anything funny like overtaking me = smooth ride on the road. 2) Motivation to do road right! After parking, I awaited my verdict. He ticked "PASSED". I was like "???" He went, "you struck kerb in the beginning, but your road was pretty good. Very good!" I passed with 16/20 :) In the words of a good friend - "Mustang Nissimo!" :P | |
