Love

We had our traditional heart attack to ourselves for family night a couple weeks ago. Everyone had eight hearts and wrote something they love about each person in the family. The new thing this year was a heart to write something we like about ourselves. We then went around the room and shared what we wrote then we scattered them all over the kitchen and front room.

I love having the hearts up and celebrating each other in February.

Later, Emily made more hearts and secretly put them on the walls in everyone's room. I saw them in one room and wandered the house to see them in every other bedroom. I got happier and happier as I went around. I know it made all the boys happy too.
It's the little things that matter, I tell ya.

On Valentines Day, we had our fancy dinner with Great Grandma J's dishes and heart shaped pizza.  Cupid delivered some treats and we enjoyed being together.

Random phone pics

Emily cracks us up often with her random silliness.
Beautiful colors!!
Loves mascara!  Beautiful.
Cute kids.
I love that these three are okay with me giving them all the same clothes to wear to school sometimes.  Maybe they just don't realize I'm doing it until it's too late.

On a walk with our family and Leslie and Aaron along Bountiful Blvd. and to the cemetery.
At the cemetery.
Sam helps John wash the van before John leaves for China.
Emily practicing on my hair.
The first or second day John was gone on a two week trip to China, Sam created his dad, wrote "dad" on him, cut him out, and taped him to the front door.  He stayed there until John got back.  In fact, John's been home almost a week and he's still on the door.
Jack's Jr. Jazz team.  First year playing and they are undefeated.  John is the coach and it is SO FUN to watch them play.  I laugh and laugh at how they carry the ball and double dribble and are learning the game.  It is so cute.

Thankful 3, 4, and 5

John's bone nicely healed.  The rod will be removed in one month.  And we're done!!!
John is home!!!  And because of that, I have not been on here.  But boy am I ever thankful.  Thankful for my kids and that I can be their mom.  Thankful John is home safe and well.  Thankful for the good weekend we had together.  Thankful that today we had Forced Family Fun.  Thankful my kids tolerated it AND John and I got to go on a date this afternoon.
Little John had an appt. with his orthopedic surgeon at PCMC today so I turned it into an event.  We spent 40 minutes at the hospital then went to the Zoo.  It was beautiful and we had a nice time.  Then we drove up, then down, I street.  We got Little Caesars on our way home for the kids then John and I went to Rumbi, Costco, and Target.
Little John will have the rod in his leg removed on December 14th.  That will be nice to be done with.
Thomas walks with his feet turning in and I have not wanted to get started with it because I don't want more surgeries.  I brought him into the room and the doctor checked his legs.  Even though his legs turn in, it is not affecting his rotation so he is good!!  We were so relieved and also glad to know that John's problem was affecting his rotation so his surgeries were needed.  Relief.  We are done.  Little John is looking forward to having the rod removed and being done.
I am thankful that this election is wrapping up.  I am nervous and excited for tomorrow.  I'm praying that the good people in America will come out of the wood works and help Romney win by a landslide.  Wouldn't it be wonderful!!  I want God to have a strong place in this country and Obama is trying his hardest to take God out.  I want people to be accountable and Obama doesn't feel the same.  I want FAMILY to mean more in America.  Strong families equals strong country.  We can do better.  I am confident that Romney will do good things for this country and help us remember what this country was founded upon.  I love America but my America is falling apart and we can't afford to waste any more time.
I am looking forward to tomorrow and I AM THANKFUL TO BE AN AMERICAN!!  We live in a great country and it CAN be better with the right leaders.

Closing the cabin. September 2012

Our family spent a few hours at the cabin at the end of September to close it up for the winter and ride our four wheeler.  It was a nice few hours together and it was BEAUTIFUL!!
The kids were using the new feature on John's Iphone to make cool pictures.
