Learning Logs: Week 36

Caden: For history I am reading The Little Madison. We are going to a cabin in Heber for our final Colonial event and will be doing lots of colonial activities. In math I am learning how to divide fractions. In reading I am reading Unlikely Heroes and am half way through. I’m learning how to write Aurebesh, the language from Star Wars. I am writing a book report on The Little Madison. Piano, I’ve gotten 8 bars into the Celebrated Canon by Pachabel and I’ve just started the third Musical Moments book. I only have a few more lessons before summer break.

Tessa: For history I’m reading Rush Revere and the First colonists. For language arts I am personalizing a fairy tale for a friend. For math I’m still working on adding fractions and subtracting. In piano I am farther through Beauty and the Beast and doing my Piano Adventures book. I finished my theory book and started a new one.

Davin: I have read 2 books in the Sir Cumference series and practiced my Times Tales. Still waiting for my new books to come! I am finished my Eerie Elementary book – I love that series! I am still practicing piano every day and the best in my class! I didn’t do much in the way of technology classes, just played computer some. We are going to our Colonial retreat this weekend and that should be fun, except I don’t like wearing my colonial clothes. It’s hard to play in Sunday clothes with your socks pulled way up! I don't know how they used to do it!

Koen: This week I did more math pages and reading lessons. I’m getting pretty good at reading! I almost know everything but my mom says there is still more to learn. I haven’t been good about practicing my lesson songs for piano but I play every day! I just like to play songs I know and figure out how to play them on the piano. That is the fun part of piano.
