Valentine's Day Treats...

I decorated these boxes and filled them with candy for my girls to give their hula sisters and for my hubby to give his co-workers. The stamp set is called Greeting Card Kids. The boxes that I used are actually from the Candy Countdown Calender Kit that SU was selling in their Holiday Mini catalog. It was one of those things that I bought with the intention to use it for Christmas and then forgot... lol! At least I found another use for these boxes instead of them sitting around for another year.

I decorated these boxes to give to some of the teachers at my girls' school. I used the big shot die to make these boxes and used the same stamp set. These boxes were filled with sweets and a decorated post-it note. Happy Valentine's Day!

Simple Is Best...

First of all, I'd like to wish everyone out there a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Can you believe that it's already 2011? Time is surely flying by quickly! I hope that everyone enjoyed their New Year's Eve celebrations. As for me, I used the time to catch up with some of my projects which I will be posting over the next couple of days. You see, I'm not one to set off fireworks, but I do enjoy watching them up in the sky. But this year, the smoke was really thick (because my neighborhood does a great job with ringing in the new year) so I decided to stay inside most of the night and craft. Here is one of the projects that I was able to complete...

168 TAGS!!! These tags will be attached to the Teacher/Staff Valentine's gifts from the school PTO Teacher Appreciation Committee. I know that Valentine's isn't until next month, but I didn't want to get stressed out by waiting to the last minute... and boy does it feel good to be done!

Here is a close up of one of the tags. I used the new stamp set called Valentine Defined to create these tags. Enjoy...

February Mtg. Project and Swaps...

These are the wonderful swaps and treats that I received at Friday night's meeting.

Our project leader was Krista and she taught us how to make these wonderful mailboxes with the Sending Love Specialty DSP. Unfortunately I didn't get to finish it at the meeting, but when I went home this is what I came up with to complete the project. I had an extra daisy left over from my other project so I added in a chocolate chip 1/4" epoxy brad before attaching it to the door. I also used the sentiment from the Whimsical Words (SAB) stamp set. The heart on the flag was punched out from the DSP using the Heart to Heart punch.

Meeting Favors...

These are some samples of the favors I made to pass out at our meeting this Friday. They are actually the same type of baby food containers I used to make the Hello Kitty version out of. I don't think I'll be making swaps for this meeting because I still need to finish those PTO tags. Below is a list of the items I used:

DSP- Sending Love Specialty
Card Stock- Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink, Real Red
Punches- 1/2" Circle, Pinking Hearts Border
Die- Flower Daisies #2

Valentine Box...

I made this box out of trial and error... hehehe! I actually wanted one with handles, but forgot to add it in to the measurements when I was creating the pattern. I didn't want the card stock to go to waste so I decided to make this Valentine's box instead. I used the Sending Love Specialty DSP along with Real Red, Pretty in Pink, and Whisper White card stock. I also used the Pinking Hearts border punch, my crimper, and my Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit.

Valentine Tag...

I am slowly getting back into the swing of things just like some of you other crafters out there. I received my order from the FEDEX man on Friday and was super excited to get cracking on some projects that are starting to creep up on me. Anyways, the first thing I came up with was this little tag for Valentine's day. Yes, it's still January, but I'm suppose to make 170 tags for my daughter's school PTO again. So as usual, I kept it simple and hopefully they will like it and know that it came from the heart! I used the following:

Punches: large oval, Scallop Trim Border
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Short & Sweet
Paper: Real Red cs, Whisper White cs, Sending Love Specialty DSP
Ink: Pretty in Pink

I also had a chance to finish some other projects, but I can't show them to you just yet. Thanks for stopping by...
