Bird of Paradise Punch Art Instructions...

To make the Bird of Paradise punch art, all you will need is the Two-Step Bird punch. Punch 2 pieces of Pacific Point card stock as seen in the above picture.

Next, punch out 2 Pumpkin Pie and 1 Old Olive birds. Cut these pieces on the lines in the picture above. Sorry, the lines did not come out too good.

Here are the pieces that you will need to make one flower. I used the sponge dauber and various inks to shade the edges of each piece.

The following pictures will show you how to assemble the flower:

Trim the excess off from the lower edge of the flower.

Here is a picture of the finished product... a Bird of Paradise flower!

Plumeria Punch Art Instructions...

To make a Plumeria, first start off by using the 5-Petal Flower punch on a piece of Whisper White card stock to punch out a flower.

Next, round off each petal using the paper snips. Also cut slits toward the center (see the picture above).

This is what your flower should look like when you are done snipping & trimming the petals.

Use the sponge dauber dipped in Summer Sun ink and dab the center of the flower. Curl each petal using the side of a pencil. There you have it... a beautiful plumeria!

Cocoa Holder Instructions...

Due to many requests, here are the instructions for the Cocoa Holder. Enjoy...

You will need the following:
(2) 9-1/2" x 7" card stock (box bottom)
(1) 6" x 7" DSP (box cover)

Box Cover:
Score the 6" x 7" DSP at 15/16" on all sides. Fold on the score lines. Cut slits on the dotted lines and adhere together to form the box cover.

Box Bottom:
1. Score the two 9-1//2" x 7" card stocks at 1/2" and 4-1/2" on the 9-1/2" side. Turn the card stock and score it at 3" on the 7" side. Fold on the score lines. Cut on the dotted lines. On one of the card stock, use the paper cutter to cut out the gray rectangle at 1/4" from the sides and bottom. Cut out the rectangle 1" high. Use the 3/4" circle punch to cut out the half circle.

2. Attach the two card stocks together by the 1/2" tab.

3. Assemble the box using sticky strip. Do the remaining 1/2" tab first and then the bottom flaps.

4. When you are done, decorate as desired and fill with cocoa packets. Have fun!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope that you will find these instructions useful.

October Mtg. Swap & Instructions...

This is my swap for our monthly meeting tonight. The theme for our swap is Halloween cards. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the current halloween stamps sets so I decided to make something using my handy, dandy punches. Yes, you could say I've been on a "punch" kick lately. But when I have nothing to use, I always turn to my punches to see what I can create. I used the following: Web wheel, Teeny Tiny Wishes, & Family Accessories. I've included the instructions for the punch art in case you get the urge to make one of your own. Can't believe Friday is already here! Our Card Camp is tomorrow so I will be posting pictures of the cards we make, as well as the favors and welcome sign that I created. Have a great day...

Cupcakes, Cupcakes...

I made these cupcake baskets using the Simple Birthday Thanks stamp set. Here are the instructions in case anyone wants to try them out:

1. Stamp the image onto a piece of cardstock to use as your pattern.

2. Trace the pattern 2x on a sheet of cardstock and 2x on a sheet of DSP. Note: before tracing it on the DSP you need to cut the top off the cupcake so that you can trace it on a different design of DSP. You should have 2 cardstock cupcakes and 2 DSP cupcakes (the top & bottom should be different designs of the DSP).

3. After cutting them out, attach the DSP to the cardstock using a gluestick. You can use your sanding blocks to smooth out the edges of the cupcakes.

4. The basket (that is hidden behind the cupcake) is a piece of 6 1/2" x 5" that was scored at 1 1/2" (on the 6 1/2" side). The basket should end up with the dimensions 2" wide, 2 1/2" high, and 1 1/2" deep.

5. Glue the basket between the 2 cupcakes and add a 1" handle. You can also add a 1" circle on top in place of the cherry. Add glitter and decorate as desired.

If you have any questions, please let me know...

Panda Instructions

Here are the instructions for the Panda punch art. Sorry it took so long. I had everything prepped, but just didn't have the time to put it together. I still have so many projects that I want to work on... just not enough time in the day. I'll post more as they get done...

note: I used the crop-a-dile to punch the holes on the panda's feet.
