GOSH IT'S WINDY !

Hello Sunday Peeps,
Well - it's super windy here and they say we will be getting torrential rain..... again !!!  Then we are going to be hit BIG time with the red dust from the Sahara :-(   Needless to say I am not washing down my patios/house or cleaning the pool just yet !!! LoL

I am hiding down in my craft room today - even the Doggo wasn't keen on his walk this morning. We nearly got blown over a couple of times !

I have done a couple of card commissions this week and I decided to play with the latest LIMITED RUNS Progressive Challenge image image this morning.
I copied the Sketch from Sunday Stamps - Sketch Fun. The background papers are a set I got from PRETTY GRAFIK called "Spring Owls Papers".
I printed a big chicken and then resized for smaller ones. I coloured them with Spectrum Noir markers to look like my own chickens who are English Light Sussex breed :-D

I'll be back in a mo' once I have sorted out the photos for the card commissions :-)
Thanks for dropping in. xx

CAT ON A SHELF

Hello All and happy Sunday,
Here I am with my entry for the Progressive Challenge for March with Gerda Steiner.
The image this month is CAT ON A BOOKSHELF.

I have made a window scene  using a garden photo at the back, overlaid with a die cut to look like a fancy window. The curtains, fancy pelmet and wallpaper are made using papers from the IMAGINE THAT Valentine Fundraiser set.
I coloured the kitty and bookshelf using Spectrum Noir markers and raised him with foamies.

JOURNAL JOTTING

I decided to play with some more SCRIBBLES, since I had got the folder open and came across a sweet BunnyChick and some bunnies and got this very silly idea....................

I covered my journal page is some teeny Easter egg paper and edged it with lime green ink. Then I used some stamps by La Blanche at the corners and bottom edge, using dark green ink. The stamps are NBUS that were sent to me by a crafting friend and I really like these :-)

The images are all by SCRIBBLES DESIGNS :
Hoppy 4
Hoppy 5
Joppy 6
Long Leg Easter Chicklet

All the images were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers.

Sorry I made a bit of a hash trying to mask off the right-hand page :-(

Thanks for popping in. I am off to feed cats/dog etc now :-) xxx

EASTER PARADE

Hi there,
I have coloured up my latest stamp from BLOOBEL ready for the Easter Parade - March Progressive Challenge.
I used Spectrum Noir markers for him and his background is from MEINLILAPARK - one of her many super cool freebies :-)
I paper pieced his hat with the same backing paper but, because it is digital, I could make it really much smaller to fit with the proportions :-D
I used snippets of green and yellow card to finish him and have again had fun with my new Stitched Rectangle dies :-)

IKEsWORLD CHALLENGES #82 - SOME PIECES BY ME

Hello Peeps,
I have actually made a piece for IKEsWORLD CHALLENGES this week LoL.  I don't often get the time to colour something of mine but today I did, and popped myself in with TEAM B.

I have used one of my images from IkesArt called UK BULLDOG and coloured him with watercolour pencils. The background I used is a digital scrapbooking set from COOSTY CREATIONS ( formerly at StitchyBear Stamps)  called ' LadyBird Luncheon '.
I cut out an extra ladybird for him to be gazing at :-)

My second piece to show you is my project for this week's posting at SHOW US YOUR PUSSIES CATS ONLY CHALLENGE week 3.
This one uses two of my images. The first is called 'MOUSIE MUNCH' and I have teamed it with a brand new Exclusive image which is a FREEBIE for February over at the IkesArt FaceBook Fan Page.

I coloured these with Spectrum Noir markers and Derwent pencils and added a paper pieced gingham table cloth for the foreground.

I hope you will pop over and play along in these Challenges and don't forget to snag your Freebie " Peeping Tom " from our FB Fan Page. :-)

See you in a while.  xx

SECOND ONE TODAY

Hello again,
Here I am with my second of the day. This one is made using another image from  SASAYAKI GLITTER. They have got a Progressive Challenge going on over on FB so I bought this little guy to play along with and then next month I get a FREE image :-D This cutie is called " CUPCAKE KITTY " and I coloured him with Spectrum Noir markers.  His actual card is a stepper card template from the Crafty Gals.

SEND SOME PAWPRINTS

Hi Peeps,
I can only pop in for one creation today as Wednesday is one of my busy days... I have Greek lessons in the morning and by the time I come back it's nearly time to go house/cat sit, so here is my offering.
I saw a great Theme over at  LESS IS MORE, using a colour wheel. The idea is to pick 3 adjacent colours for your creation.
I used the bottom right. I chose 3 Spectrum Noir markers and used the chubby end and a ruler to draw across some card for my background. The 'thanks' part is using a Silhouette cutting file.
The kitty is my FREEBIE over at SUYP this month and I coloured him in colours directly opposite my background colours to compliment them.

SENDING PAWPRINTS is all about making Thank You Cards for Vets and Animal Shelters. Here is their Mission Statement .....

Sending Paw Prints supports our furry friends by collecting blank pet themed thank you handmade cards and donating them to animal shelters and rescue groups for them to write heartfelt thank you messages to donors, foster parents and volunteers.

AI IZ DA KAT

Meolow Peeps,
I am here with one of my own images coloured up for both IKEsWORLD CHALLENGES - where you will find this image as this fortnight's FREEBIE, and it is also my creation for WEEK 5 of the SUYP CATS ONLY CHALLENGE.
I drew this one as a representation of how I sometimes feel half cat :-) I certainly seem to be a 'Cat Magnet' as I have 23 of the little furry creatures who live in/around my house and I always seems to attract some others when I am out walking.... even with the dog. They rush up and purr all round him so I guess he might be half cat as well LoL

I have coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers and Derwent pencils. For my background I used a digital paper from 'Puppy Power Mini Mish Mash Set' by SCRIBBLE DOODLE DESIGNS.

I have a card commission to do today so I may not be back in. Thanks for popping by. xxxx

GETTING SMOOCHY !!

Good morning Peeps and happy crafting Saturday :-D
Now - I definitely don't DO Valentine's Day and all that smaltz but I have joined in the Freebie Challenge over at GERDA STEINER DESIGNS. If you use the image for the month you get a free one to use next month, so I popped over and bought it. So darn cuuuuuute  :-)
This one is called " Hedgehog Smooches " and I have coloured it up using Spectrum Noir markers. I used a Silhouette cut out heart and plain white paper edged with hand drawn cross stitch. I left it pretty simple as I wanted the Hedgepigs to be the focal point :-)

So there we have it :-) Don't expect to see a lot of this slushy stuff from me - Bleh !!   hahahaha
See ya' later xxxx

A BIT ON THE DARK SIDE

Hello Tuesday Peeps,
Well - it's raining today but at least a little warmer. After going down the mountain and back this morning to house/cat sit, my poor Moishe has the definite pong of 'Wet Dog' as he lays next to me in his doggy bed ! LoL Still - it's a good job that I have hardly any sense of smell  :-D hahaha

Anyways - onto my first project for today. I went a little over to the dark/sci fi side this morning and decided to use one of my own images on a Tag. This image is ' ROBOT #2 ' and you can find her HERE. I coloured her with Spectrum Noir markers.

I made the tag with card covered in silver plumbers' tape and then put it through the Big Shot using Die'sire Embossalicious folder - ' Gun Metal '.
I added a strip of Binary code sprinkled with 'blood' and made a couple of computer circuit board mini tags attached with bakers' twine to resemble computer wire :-) (I hope it does anyway)

I'm in a crafty mood today but haven't decided what to do next so I am going to browse the Challenge lists and I may well be back later :-)
Bye for now xxxx

HAVE YOU GOT ANY SNOW ?

I'm here again - just dashing in - to show this card I made with a lovely Freebie from KNITTY KITTY that is called " Dachshund Through The Snow "...... LUV it :-D
Have you got any snow where you live ???

I have used teeny polka dot card - which is reversible and I tried a new technique with an embossing folder by inking on the inside of the folder before putting it in the machine.
I watched this done by Susan Renshaw on a video HERE. I'm not sure if I put enough ink on but hey-ho. I don't have a snowflake embossing folder so I used 'Gem Flourish' from Craft Concepts as it looked a bit like snow swirling in the wind.

I used Whispers Archival Inks - Whisper Blue, Azure Seas and KindyGlitz. The snowflake is from my bits box as is the gem. The Dachshund was coloured using Spectrum Noir Markers.

FITNESS ANYONE ???!!

Good morning Peeps,

Well - there are ' Watchers '  and ' DO-ers ' in anything in life , right ?!!
I had a bit of fun with the image to be used in GERDA STEINER's Progressive Challenge for February.
I went over to the Shop and bought him and a couple of others, so that I can join this Challenge. I think next month I will get an image to play with for Free.
This little image is called  " Jump Rope Bunny ", and it's the image for February.

I printed out the jumping bunny several times, and I also bought from the Shop  " Nerdy But Nice Bunny" and he is the Fitness Instructor, and sneeking a peek around the corner is another that I bought today.. " Peeking Panda " cuz he's obviously the Watcher not a DO-er hahaha  :-D
I used Spectrum Noir pens and a lead pencil to colour my creation.

I hope you got a giggle at my creation. :-D

FAERY INK TWINS

Hi Peeps,
I hope you are having a great crafting weekend so far :-)
This is my card using a brand new image from FAERY INK which is called " Twins" and they had a special promotion with a discount on the image and a set of clothes digis to dress them up in. I just couldn't resist these little cuties.

I coloured my twins using Spectrum Noir pens and then I paper pieced their clothes using  Pink & Blue Snow papers from MEINLILA PARK.
I cut the twins out and then placed them on a background, which came from a card kit by Crafty Gals at Paper Creator.

COLOURING MORE FREEBIES

Here I am again with a couple more of my collected Freebies from the stash waiting for colour.
My First one is this week's Freebie from 2Cuteink and it's called 'PUMPKIN COOKIE'.
This was the Newsletter Freebie and I have coloured him up with Copics in a sort of pointillism fashion with yellow, light orange and dark orange.

Then I cut it out and mounted him on a rosette (Tim Holtz Alterations Die) made with 'Halloween Howlers #5' paper from Crafty Chaos (no longer trading), and then mounted that on some pale green card. I made a larger card using the #5 paper and a handmade sentiment to go with. Couple of bits of ribbon and Ta Da !!!

My second one today is using this week's FREEBIE from SPYDER's CORNER - he is called "CARROT TOP BUNNY" and will be available until next Tuesday-ish I think. SPYDER gives out a Freebie on Wednesdays. :-D
I have used him with "CARROTS THE BUNNY" and have coloured them with Spectrum Noir pens and then cut them out. I placed them on a Jillibean's double sided scrapbook paper  paper called Fresh Veg Soup and then mounted that onto pale green card with an inked edge.
I stamped a sentiment using Papertreyink, Urban Design Communique Curves Sentiments cling stamp inked up with a Marvy Brush Marker #64 Plum. I also added a sticker cabichon from a 'Summer' set which was sent to me by a Chum. I don't know who makes these :-(

So there we are :-) I've had quite a busy afternoon.
Remember to snag your Carrot Top Bunny before it's too late and don't forget to go back and show SPYDER what you've made. :-D

I'm off now then to dig through my huge stash of freebie images to see what I will colour next :-D
Thanks for popping in :-)

ONE STITCH AT A TIME DT CREATION #244 - FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS

Hello Peeps and welcome to Challenge #244 over at ONE STITCH AT A TIME..... 4 LEGGED FRIENDS.

This time I got to work with PANDA BEAR DESIGNS and I snagged myself an image from Stitchy. The Sponsor for this fortnight's  challenge is StitchyBear Digi Outlet with the August image and papers prize pack.   :-)

Here is what I made this time using 'Once Upon A Time Paper Pack' by Panda Bear Designs  and 'Dino' by Stitchy Stamps..........

Once Upon A Time 8.5 by 11 paper pack  Dino

I made one of those pop-up card thingies but cut the top to look like a castle battlement. I covered the card in the yellow and grey 'Brick' papers from Panda Bear's collection.
The I printed out the Dinos in various sizes and 'flipped' a couple too so that they weren't all facing the same way :-)  That is one of the really cool thing about using DIGITAL STAMP IMAGES - you can do all that stuff which you can't do with a rubber stamp !!! :-)
Anyways - I coloured them in with Spectrum Noir pens and then fussy cut them out and stuck them onto acetate strips and placed them on their 'castle' I made a little Home Sweet Home banner and voila !!!
These guys are so cute that I would LUV to have them as my 4 Legged Friends :-D

So there you have it :-) Thank you for popping in and I hope you will come over and play along and see what my Stitchy Angel buddies have made to show you :-D

I IZ NOT A TURKEY !!!!!

Good morning Peeps and welcome to Day 1 of SMUDGEFEST 2015 hosted by SMEARED INK. For 7 days I will be (hopefully) making a project that fits in with the daily Theme and also contains a SMEARED INK image.

Here are the rules:

*Each morning from August 3rd through 9th, a new challenge will be posted. It will contain that day's theme and prize information.

*To participate, you must make a project that fits the theme and add it to that day's post using Inlinkz. The link to add your entry will be located at the bottom of each post. Your project must be linked by midnight of the same day. Your link must go straight to the post on your blog containing your project, not your blog home page.

*Your project can be anything (card, scrapbook page, altered or 3-d item, etc) as long as it is handmade and stamped somewhere with either a rubber or digital stamp. All digital projects are allowed if it fits the theme. Feel free to think outside the box and have fun with your project! We are all about looking at things differently and look forward to the variety of projects we are sure to see.

*You must use AT LEAST 1 Smeared Ink image on your project to qualify for the daily prize drawing. You are allowed to use anything else that you like. If you just want to play along and aren't worried about qualifying for the prize, you do not have to include a Smeared Ink image.

*The daily winner will be chosen by random number and revealed later the next day in a separate post (not the daily theme post).

The Challenge:
METAL MONDAY

Create a project that showcases a piece of metal! It can range from metal scrapbook embellishments, to paper clips, to items you would find at a hardware store. Decorate a metal object, or cut up a soda can. Use your imagination!

Here is my piece today using INKY DREAMS on the background and OCCASIONS GRUMPIES  rubber stamps for my main image.

My background is gold metallic card and the stamp was inked with embossing ink and then stamped and covered in rainbow effect embossing powder and heated up. I then covered it with 2 coats of extra thick UTEE and it now looks like a sheet of gold :-D
I added onto it a thin ribbon of Tin Foil and a strip of metal embellies, that I think was a broken bracelet or something. My Grumpie was stamped and coloured twice, using Spectrum Noir Pens,  and then fussy cut into layers and mounted up with 3D foamies. He was then coated with Diamond Glaze.
He sits on top of a real Peacock feather.
I made a sentiment panel and stuck peacock coloured sequins all around and attached it with a tiny metal Bulldog Clip.

Here is the Prize for today.......

I would really love to win that stunner :-D

So, there I am for DAY 1.

Thank you for dropping by. :-) xxxxxxxxxxxx
