Hi Everyone,.

Today marks Day 2 of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions - where today we are introducing the newest TE illustrator Emily Burger and her collection Embracing Grace! We start of this new TE collection with the gorgeous stamp set: Love Grows Here featuring 7 vignettes that is perfect for every season year round! This is a full sized set and like all of Taylored Expressions stamps - this set is a beautiful pink rubber that is deeply etched pre-cut on EZ mount and ready to be stamped using an acrylic block. All the TE stamps can be stored in the Mini Binder Boxes (4 sets fit into one binder).

This stamp set is so gorgeous - I love all of the different trees in this set and also that they are perfect for cardmaking size - cute and sweet! Each of the sentiments and fonts are lovely - but this one: "Happy Everything" is my favorite I think - it makes me happy just to stamp it :) I created a little oval using the Frame It Up 2 die from Taylored Expressions and then cut an oval into it and popped it up over the stamped image of this darling tree with a tire swing (which I used to love to get dizzy on when I was a child!). I rolled a rose and then used the Mini Leaves Taylored Die (designed by Nancy McKinney - to be released on Thursday) to cut out leaves for the rose. I added some grass with the TE Grass border die and popped up the frame with some dimensionals and added a little row of liquid pearls around it :

Card Ingredients;
Paper; Bazzill cardstock, MME Fly a Kite collection
Stamps: Love Grows Here from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento: Ladybug Red (Memento) and copics
Accessories: Mini Leaf die, Frame it Up 2 die and Grass Border die  from Taylored Expressions, pearl from Want2Scrap, liquid pearls, Spellbinders flag and oval die, ribbon and dimensionals

This is such a fun set - and there are so many many possibilities with all of these cute trees - it makes my mind dizzy just thinking of all of the different projects that I can do! Today Taylor is also introducing 2 new Mokas to the Moka Collection - please welcome Moka Morgana (inspired by Nancy McKinney's daughter who loves to dance) and Moka Kate (perfect for any celebration!) along with the Petite set: Life is a Dance! These sets go perfectly with each other or on their own! I created my Moka Morgana card today especially for my little ballerina who loves to flit and float and twirl down the aisles of the grocery store or at home:

Card Ingredients;
Paper; Bazzill cardstock, Aunthentique Uncommon paper collection
Stamps: Moka Morgana from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento: Rose Red (Memento) and copics
Accessories: Mini Leaf die, paper crimper, liquid pearls, Spellbinders dies, ribbon from stash, grey felt flower, EK success wave border punch, stickles and dimensionals

I used used Taylor's Sketch # 149 for this card an the Aunthentique Uncommon paper collection - perfect for every pink ballerina and give her tutu a little flow by stamping it on vellum and then adorning it with stickles. I used the  Mini Leaves Taylored Die  to add a leaf sprig to the grey felt flower and the lovely sentiment: "You are so beautiful" - I love this sentiment and this sweet ballerina - and was so happy to make this for my little ballerina :) I can't wait to see al all the projects in store today that the Design Team has created  - please hop with me and take a look:

THank you so much for stopping by today!
Please stop by tomorrow for more sneak peeks!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

A Just Rite Peek and a Pirate Cupcakes :)))

Good Morning Everyone!!

What a busy time it is right now!!! Do you find yourself running errands and then forgetting what you were supposed to do even though you have a list? lol! I think that's a sign of things being too busy! Well, I am so excited today to share 2 things with you - a card and peek!

The first one is a birthday card that I created for one of my son's best friends - who turned 5 a few days ago and had a pirate themed birthday! Here is a cute little cupcake card using the cutest little cupcake pirate I know! I LOVE this sketch #91 from Taylor (I think I have made three or four cards from it - LOVE it!!!) The cupcake is from Trick or Sweet I and the sentiment is from For the Love of Cupcakes from Taylored Expressions:

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Halloween paper stash and other cardstock from stash
Ink: Navy blue Aquamarine
Stamps: Trick or Sweet I and the sentiment is from For the Love of Cupcakes from Taylored Expressions
Accessories: Black glittered ribbon, corner rounder, cuttlebug Swiss dots folder, liquid pearls, circle cutters from Creative Memories and circle punches, blue sakura gel pen and dimensionals (and copics :)

I loved coloring in the little cuppie pirate - totally perfect for a pirate birthday party!!! And the best part was that my son's friend loved it :)))

And guess what - its Day 2 of being a Guest Designer for Just Rite stamps!!! I LOVED making these little "oval" creations" because I think I am "oval challenged :)". I also am vintage challenged - so I challenged myself to create some oval vintaged projects :) Here is a peek of my project - the rest you will find on the Just Rite Blog - you can click HERE to see the rest!

Tomorrow for the Just Rite blog - I am showing a project that involves, socks, snow and butterflies!!! Intrigued? Come on back tomorrow!!! :)

Hope you are all having a fantastic day!!!
Sending ya'll big hugs!
Sankari :)))))))

Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #37 - High School Musical

Good Saturday Morning Everyone,

This week over at the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge - we are featuring the movie: High School Musical (you can pick any of the three that are out to make your card - every saturday we pick a movie from which to create a card etc.) and the challenge requirement for this movie was to create a card with school font lettering or numbers (or both).

Okay so I have to admit - I saw High School Musical last night - and then made my card right after! For some reason - I was trying to avoid seeing this movie - I don't know it felt so teenager-ish and I felt suddenly "old" - but I have to say it was a fun viewing and I can totally see why this movie is a hit - fun songs - hip actors - (and finally now I know who Zac Ephron is who all my little nieces have a crush on!).

I used Taylor's Friday Cupcake Sketch Challenge for this card and was tempted to put a cupcake on it - but instead went with a  " PI" .. get it.. "pie" but "pi" the mathematical symbol... ha! okay --- maybe its not really that funny - but you get a little punchy when there are some late nights :) But anyhooooo - overall I really like how this card came out :) it was fun to create something that you have no idea how it will turn out :)

Card Details:
Paper: Paper Temptress Red and Black from Stash, Scenic Route Sonoma
Ink: Printer (used the Princeton font)
Accessories: Star Punch from Creative Memories, piercing tool , red stickles, dimensionals, ribbon from stash, button from stash, sponger

I wanted to make a fun card that was a little quirky and used the Princeton font on my computer to generate the sentiment " I love you Pi Squared" -( I wanted to use both the School Letters and numbers requirement for this challenge ) and also because I love the scene in the movie where they bake her a cake with the math character: "Pi").  I adore this little funky button - I knew I was saving it for a reason :)

Well - I had alot of fun playing and hope that you have a chance to join us over at Cinema Saturday for some High School Musical fun!!!

Thanks for visiting my little corner :)
See you at the movies !
Hugs,
Sankari :)

Taylored Expressions - Day Two of Sneak Peeks!!!

Good Morning Everyone,

Its Day 2 of Sneak Peeks over at Taylored Expressions and can I just tell you that I am in cupcake wonderland!! Today's sneak peeks come from the set called For the Love of Cupcakes that will be available tomorrow June 5, at 8am PST over at the Taylored Expressions store! Seriously - this set is beyond sweet - I had so much fun creating some samples - it was hard to stop :)

Along with this sweet stamp set - Taylor is releasing a coordinating Cupcake Key Ingredients set! The Key Ingredients will include cardstock, coordinating designer paper, brads, glitter, ribbon - all in one place and there are so many quantities of each included that it is easy to make a ton of cards from one Key Ingredients packet!

1. Blingy Cupcake Birthday Cards
I love all the different cupcake options in this set and couldn't wait to ink them up! I used a previous sketch from Taylor to create this little birthday card - I love the sentiment: "Wishing you a birthday filled with cupcakes!" Who doesn't want that!!! The little cupcake brad in the bottom is so delcious :) - I added a little bling and some liquid pearls (I can't help it - I think i am addicted to them :) and finished the card of with a bow from the Key Ingredients set. All the pieces of the card are paper pieced from papers from the Key Ingredients package.

I love the candle stamp in this set - and had fun stamping and cutting them out and adherring them onto the card. I made a second card - simillar to this one using the same elements - and used Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #89 for this card. I love the brads that come with the Cupcake Key Ingredients - the little ice-cream brad on the bottom is my favorite :)

Here is a close up of the plate of cupcakes - I added a little crystal effect to create a glass like look - here is a closer peek at that:

2. Quick Birthday Card Set:

Have you ever needed just a quick birthday card? I always feel like I can never keep my birthday card drawer fully stocked and June is a busy month for us - full of birthdays and so I needed to renew my birthday card supply. I decided to make a little set of birthday cards using the Key Ingredients papers and For the Love of Cupcake Stamps. I loved my fellow DT member Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch and so I used the same sketch to make all 4 of these cards.

I love the papers in this Cupcake Key Ingredients set - they are so fun and festive and make creating cards so easy. Here is the first two cards in this set of four:

for a little embellishment, I created little quilled circles and filled it with a little rhinestone bling - here is a close up peek of the little quilled embellies:

3. Happy 29th Cupcake Birhday

Today is my friend's birthday (Happy Birthday D!!!) She is turning 29 (again ;) and I made a her a little yummy birthday card filled with stacked cupcakes! I really LOVE this particular cupcake image - it is just so delcious! I used Taylor's Friday Cupcake Challenge #70 for this card:

I used some liquid pearls for the frosting on the cupcakes and then covered it with liquid glass.

On the inside of the card I stacked up some cupcakes (paper pieced and liquid pearls for frosting - (totally inspired by Laurie Schmidlin's stacked birthday presents from her sneak peek yesterday) and stamped the number 29 and adhered it on top (I LOVE that there are numbered candle stamps in this set!!!).

4. Cupcake Die Cut Card:
Taylor has these awesome Cupcake Die Cuts that are so versatile in what you can create with them. You could create one to hold a gift certificate or even just a birthday message. I ran the die cut through with a sprinkled embossing folder and then on the inside created a happy birthday message using the word cupcake from a set of glittered sheets (also I sprinkled some glitter on the cherry). I LOVE how quick this was to assemble!

You could write a message on the bottom or even add a little gift card to it and it becomes both a card and a present :)
----------------

I love all the options that are included in this set and the Cupcake Key Ingredients - I have so much more supplies left over to make some more cupcake yumminess! Good thing too because there are still a lot of birthday cards to make before June is over :) Here is the skinny on an awesome packet of goodies that Taylor will be releasing tomorrow - this is the Cupcake Bundle! It is packet with yumminess!

Don't forget to check out the fantastic creations of my fellow Design Team members - some of us will be featuring another new set that will also be released tomorrow called the Beach Bum set! Don't want to miss that!!!

Spring Spectacular kits from Taylored Expressions!!

Hi Everyone,

Are you having a great week so far - mine is flying by! I can't believe its almost friday (I guess when you have a monday off - then the whole week seems so much shorter!

Today, I am totally psyched to participate in the Taylored Expressions Spring Spectacular Blog Hop! You have probably heard me mention Taylor's awesome kits that she puts together to make cardmaking easier and fun - well - she has done it again - Taylor has put together some really FABU Key Ingredients kits at an incredible discount! All of these kits are limited quantity at the Taylored Expressions store!!! and are slightly different from her regular Key Ingredients kits! For more information about these kits check out Taylor's blog post.

There are 4 kits that Taylor is bringing out today: the Brilliant kit, the Dazzled kit , the Delighted kit and the Enchanted kit. My cards today feature the papers and elements from the Enchanted Kit - I had soooo much fun working with this kit because of all the fun extras that come with it - from the ready to go die cuts, to the fabulous ribbon and the super cool transparencies. Here are a few cards that I made using these elements :

This card shows a fun die cut frame, die cut flower and sentiment all ready to go - a really great feature about this card was that it was so easy to assemble. I also used some buttons , some brads and some bling from the Taylored Expressions store. Here is a second card from the same kit:

This one was alot of fun to work with because of the transparent flower image. I cut two sheets of the paper included in the kit in half for the card and then used the circle die cut with the flower in the middle for the center and then i popped the flower transparency on top of the circle die cut with a dimensional and then covered the dimensional with a button. The sentiment is from the Year of Sweet Sentiments from the Taylored Expressions store.

This last card was so much fun to make! These kits are so easy to pair with all my Taylored Expression stamps! I used the frame die cut and used one of the cutest cuppies from the Year of Sweets 2 - whom I paper pieced and colored in with my prismacolor pencils.

There are seriously a TON of paper choices in this kit! There are so many more papers and ribbon that I still have left over and - its ka-ra-zy that all of this is one kit!!! These papers can be used for so many occaisions and are so versatile! And Taylor is selling all of these kits for a spectacular discount ($12.95) and there are only a limited quantity of each kit (it will not be restocked!!)- so make sure you check them out at the Taylored Expressions store. Also check out the cards and crafts from the other 3 kits that are also being offered in this Spring Spectacular celebration designed by the uber talented girls from the Baker's Dozen Design Team :)

Taylored Expressions -Day 2 of Sneak Peeks

Good Monday Morning everyone!!!

Are you masculine card challenged?

Because I know I am- lol! - no matter how much I try to make a masculine card - it always ends up being swirly girly whirly.... so I am psyched that Taylor is coming out with a set called Boys Will Be Boys -through her Whimsical Wishes line designed by the uber talednted: Nancy McKinny. This set and the awesome Father's Day Key Ingredients Kit will make it sooo much easier to whip out a "boy" looking card (that still looks "pretty"...ummm... errr... handsome, umm -- err.. masculine... :)

This set features images and sentiments that are not only perfect for Father's Day - but also just regular sentiments for the boyz in your family. One of my favorite image is of the grill with the flame! Couldn't wait to stamp it! As soon as I saw it - I thought of my FIL who is the grill master of the house - and so I made this card for him : "All hail to the Grill Master" - love that sentiment!!! LOL!!!

I cut out the grill with my x-acto knife and then cut out a flame colored by prismas and then stamped the skewers and colored and cut them out and then adhered them after placing them on dimensionals. I used the latest sketch #65 from Taylor's Cupcake Challenges.

I love and hoarde all the Key Ingredients Kits from Taylor (the key Ingredients are kits with coordinating DP and cardstok, ribbon and embellishments. Taylor will also be offering a Father's Day Bundle which will include the metal sheets and a set of assorted charms (like the flipper) - I love the idea of some masculine lookin charms!!!

I LOVE this charm with a little flipper - I attached it to a circle of orange cardstock adhered to one of the buttons from the kit. I cut three strips of metal and attached it on top. I can't wait to give this to my FIL :) There are sooo many cute by boy image in this set - and I Can't wait to try them all!!!
----------------------------
I also couldn't wait to make a special boy page for my DH as part of his Father's Day Present. I made a little 6x6 layout using elements from the Father's Day Kit and using the awesome sketch by Jen T. for her Scrappy Sunday sketch challenges :) For this sketch - I got out two of my fave fave photos of my DH with our son and daughter while we were in Florida. I love the shot of him holding our daughter's hand and walking by the shoreline as the waves are coming in and then the silhouetted picture of him and our sun running on the beach. I had sooo much fun making this page and it was so easy to put together - I was so surprised that I was suddenly done!

I love that about these awesome Key Ingredients - they coordinate and make it easy to get done quick! The journaling reads: "... from the very beginning you have been my best friend and now to see you with our little munchkins always makes me so grateful for your presence.. you are the best dad: always nourishing, fun, patient, sweet and full of quiet wisdome - we love you!" ---- this is fun of my fave layouts that I have done and I can't wait to give it to him - which will be today - since I can't wait till Father's Day!!!

I love the #1 dad sentiment! The star that holds that sentiment is also layered onto a metallic sheet. Love how the metal sheet makes the whole layout bright, shiny and fun :)

I also wanted to display it in the house - so I used the awesome calendar stand that has 6x6 page protectors and 2 hanging binders. I love this stand and it makes displaying your craft work so much fun and easily changeable - just insert a new page - and instantly - a new look!

Taylor is going to be offering a special on the Boys will be Boys set from the stamps, to the metal sheets, to the charms etc. - here's the scoop on the bundle - also don't forget to check out my amazing fellow DT members from Taylor's Baker's Dozen:
Thank you so much for checking out my little corner :)
Ciao for now,
Sankari :)

PS - Don't forget to check back tomorrow for Day 3 of sneak peeks! AND both of these sets and Key Ingredients kit and Father's Day bundle will be available for purchase on Tuesday, May 5th at 8am PST !!!!!

Taylored Expressions - Day One of Sneak Peeks!!!

Good Morning Everyone,

I am so excited to be able to show you some sneak peeks from the newest release at Taylored Expressions! The sets being released this month are so perfect for some important occaisions. These projects are made with the set called Doctor's orders. I love this set for the versatility that it offers in making cards/projects for get well soon cards and these images are sooo perfect for children too!

I didn't have a chance to play along with this sketch from Taylor's Friday sketch Challenge 55 - so I thought I would use it for this card. (You can find all of Taylor's sketch challenges from the past at this link). This is one of my favorite images from this stamp set (I say that about each image!lol!) and its of Cuppie in bed with a little thermostat. How cute is that - that Cuppie is in bed with his fluffed up pillows catching up on some reading? Love this cute image!!!

I used the March Key Ingredients kit to make this card (the Key Ingredients kit comes with DP and coordinating cardstock, ribbon and accessories they are really such an easy way to pull a card together :) I paper pieced the bed spread and pillows and then used dimensionals to pop the bed up. I am so excited to have some cards on hand that are get well cards - because I never have any when I need them. I love these cute cuppie images - its nice to be able to make some get well cards for kids from this set.

. Here is another card that I made using another image and sentiment - I lOVE these too (see they ALL are my favorite :). As you guys know - I love working with bright cheery colors - and thought that they would work well together for a get well card. I simply adore this tissue box - I stamped it a few times on orange and pink and then paper pieced them - cut the top open to insert a little bit of actual tissue paper :) and then lined them up in a row... I also paper pieced the lozenges with the blue DP.

And then I thought - it might be fun to decorate a real tissue box and put these two together as  gift set - so I got a little extra tissue box and started to decorate it up:

I can't tell you how much fun I had making this little tissue box - isn't this little image of Dr. Cuppie sooo cute (wouldn't it be great if the Doctor insisted that eating more chocolate was the best thing to get you healthy again!) I paper pieced the cuppies and adhered them on a Spellbinders nestie set and decorated with some liquid pearls, faux stitching and buttons from Taylor's Bag O'Buttons.

Here is a picture of the whole gift set:

Well, I totally had a blast making these - love these sweet images for get well cards - they would totally bring a smile to my face if I was under the weather :)

Don't forget to check out my amazing fellow DT members from Taylor's Baker's Dozen:
Thank you so much for checking out my little corner :)
Ciao for now,
Sankari :)

PS - Don't forget to check back tomorrow for Day 2 of sneak peeks - tomorrow's set is absolutely perfect for some special people in your life!! Have a great sunday!

TECC64 - Happy Mother's Day Card - a la Glitter :)

Good Morning Everyone,

I didn't get to play along last week with Taylor's Friday Cupcake Challenge - and so I had to play along! I didn't use any cupcakes :( but I did use some of the awesome papers from the April 20th Key Ingredients Kit- (it comes with cardstock, coordinating DP, glitter, flower bling embellishments and coordinating ribbon). I absolutely love these papers and had fun arranging them in the rectangle element of the sketch.

I used a technique with tacky tape and glitter that the awesome Lynn Mercurio featured a while ago on SCS - this technique works like a charm!

Card Details:
Paper, Ribbon, Glitter, flower bling are all from the April 20th Key Ingredients kit
Ink: SU! Chocolate Chip!
Accessories: Square punch from CM, Scallop Punch from SU!, Corner Rounder, silver pen

Hope you guys are having a great weekend!
Thanks so much for visiting my little corner :)

KW Color Inspriation #47 - Happy Birthday Card (TECC 61)

Happy Friday Everyone,

Are you doing a little TGIF dance? Cause that's what we are doing over here! Look at these yummy colors that Kristina has picked out for her 47th Color Inspiration Challenge! Thispicture is from her friend Adrienne

The colors for this week are Chocolate Chip,Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and Whisper
White. I love these colors together - they just feel so rich and yummy - how can it not be yummy with such titles like: chocolate chip, pumpkin pie and so saffron! I really enjoyed making this card it was a lot of fun.

I used Taylor's awesome sketch challenge from her Friday Cupcake Challenge  #61 for inspiration. I flipped the sketch 90 degrees counter clockwise. I also used her newest stamp release set Branching Out. I think this might be one of my fave sets - its just so versatile. I needed to make a Happy Birthday card for someone special.

I love the Basic Grey Ambrosia set of papers ... and used one of the DP to stamp the tree onto and then paper pieced little orange leaves onto the tree for a little contrast. I had fun putting buttons and also Taylor's Tiny Twinkles on the eyes of the owl and on the scalloped edge.

Here is a side ways view of the card:

Card Details:
Paper: Ambrosia (Basic Grey), Brown metallic cardstock, Orange carstock from trash
Ink: Pumpkin Pie from Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Taylored Expressions: Branching Out stamp set and Branching Out coordinate set
Accessories: Random ribbon, liquid perls, stickles, foam dimensionals, buttons from stas, Taylor's Tiny Twinkles n the scalloped edges and the little owl eyes, corner rounder

I hope you get a chance to play in both challenges! Color Throwdown - 2 Cards - 2 Sketch challenges

Hi Everyone,

Have you guys seen the yummy colors over at the Color Throwdown? The color challenge this week is purely pomegrante, tangerine tango and kiwi kiss - aren't they just beautiful together?

The ladies at the Color Throwdown have some beautiful samples and I couldn't wait to play along. I used Julee's beautiful Mojo
Monday Sketch challenge #79 for inspiration. This was such a beautiful sketch and a yummy color challenge!
The only thing is that I made this card last night... and what looked like a color closer to purely pomegranate... turned out to be more purple in the light of day... oh well..

I absolutely love Taylor's newest stamp set Branching Out - and so I pulled it out and went a little whimsy on it :) The tree bark is embossed with Versamark and Polysparkle EP on a magenta-ish cardstock. I put little dots for the tree as though leaves with Orange stickles. The birds are paper pieced together with a little bit of stickles on their wings. The sentiment reads: Your friendship is a blessing.

I have to say, that I loved making this card - it was just so much fun to paper piece, emboss and cut out that tree... it is definitely therapeutic to craft....

Here is a close up of the tree and birds -- you can see the embossing of the tree better and also some of the polysparkle EP :)

Card details:
Paper: K & Company for the green, DCVW for the magenta and the orange is Ambrosia (Basic Grey)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Versa Mark (polysparkle EP)
Stamps: Branching Out stamp set from Taylored Expressions
Accessories: Orange stickles, liquid pearls, Crystal Stickles, ribbon, corner rounder

2nd Card using these same yummy colors from the Color Throwdown

I loved these colors so much that I created a second card. Seriously - I love these colors so much - they just look delicious!! There is something about the orange and the green and the pomegrante colors together ... I guess it kind of reminds me of India - just bright and fun colors!

For the second card, I used Laura's awesome sketch #22 from 2 Sketches 4 You. I loved the small box on the side and wanted to made it a half circle. I used the same stamp set as above and went more pomegrante than purple on this card. I just adore this stamp set - it was fun to go whimsy and create different colored trees and birds and scenes.... the best thing was that it was so much fun to create. I cut out a half circle, added some grass from DP and then created the sky using Pebbles Chalks (pearlescent chalks).

Here is a close up  of the tree and the liquid pearls:

Card details:
Paper: K & Company and scrap stash
Ink: Stampin Up! Pumpkin Pie
Stamps: Branching Out stamp set from Taylored Expression
Accessories: ribbon, liquid pearls, stickles, CM creative memories, Martha punch (mini scallop), markers, Pebbles Pearlescent Chalks

Thank you so much for visiting my little corner!
Hope you are all having a lovely day!

Ciao for now,
Sankari
