Darcy Turns 12!

Better late than never, I am only a month behind!!
Darcy turned 12 last month (where have those 12 years gone!), we had a theme of Minnie mouse for her party, bit difficult to tell from the photos below-lol!

The birthday card, gotta love Minnie mouse, always a favourite and so much fun to colour.
Once again featuring the Pebbles Double Sided Basics Rouge cardstock-love love love!!

The invitation and little pillow box which held little mickey earrings for each of the girls

The setting, Rylee was in charge of the plates- don't they look cute!
She folded the napkin to make Minnie's bow.

The Girls having photo fun!

One of the games was 'Foil Fashion', 2 rolls of foil and this is what they came up with, love to wear that out one night!

Another fun game, passing tissues with only straws, if you drop it you are out.

Pin the bow on Minnie

M and M's with Straws, the person with the most in the end is the winner- so much fun to watch!

Our new little addition...... Angus!

On Friday we welcomed a new member to our family, a little 9 week old labrador puppy Angus!

We didn't tell the girls of his upcoming arriving, as you can image they were excited beyond belief!!

We have become Guide Dog puppy raisers, he will be with our family for the next 12months, he heads off to complete his training as a guide dog, that is as long as he passes all the requirements with 100% pass rate!!  We are hoping he will be successful and become the 'eyes' for a vision impaired person, he has a beautiful nature and will make a perfect companion for one lucky person!  He will take a lot of time to get him up and trained, but we are up for the challenge, he has become my new 'job'- can life get much better????

Not looking forward to the day when he leaves our family, but we will certainly be enjoying him while he is 'ours'

He's just soooooooooo cute, as you can see by the photos, I did struggle to limit the number of photos 'cause he just looks so darn cute in all of them!!

The girls and I went shopping yesterday and bought him a few toys to play with, among them were a tigger toy and this cute little heart, both of which he carries around with him!

Angus with my Niece Lauren, who is worse than the girls when it comes to picking him up-lol!

My favourite to finish off with..........................told you he was a cutie!

Our 2012 Christmas Celebration

Popping in with a few of my favourite pictures from our Christmas!

Rylee and Darcy in their element unwrapping all the presents!

Our festive table, white, silver and black

 Our lunch!!
With the recent purchase of a thermomix, lunch was easy and soooooooo yummy!
Greek style lamb, rosemary baked potatoes, beetroot salad with pomegranate dressing and Chicken/Prawn/Avocdo salad with Avocado mayo- needless to say we ended up with very full tummies, but still had room for plum pudding with brandy cream!

The Thermomix also got a good workout making our cocktails too!

 My very silly family!

still struggling to get a 'Normal' photo-lol!

Pickies from our Las Vegas stay!

Better late than never.....I know I promised some last week but life just go away-yet again!
These are some of my favourites from Las Vegas, with over 2200 photos I vetted them pretty hard!

We arrived in Vegas from San Diego, we staying for 4 nights and squeezed so much into 5 days it was amazing!
Arriving in Vegas, ready for a fabulous week!

After a day of shopping this is what we ended up with....... I really don't understand why we came home with 6 suitcases when we left Melbourne with 2-lol!!

A Tour to the Grand Canyon with Pink Jeep tours (highly recommend them), driving out to the canyon in their custom made pink Jeep, flying down into the canyon, floating through on the Colorado river and then another helicopter flight out.  the girls had never been in a helicopter before so it was a real highlight for them.  as you can see from the pictures the weather was amazing, although a little warm, reaching 104F!

Our Tour guide Jerry set up some fun pictures for us, as I said the tour was well worth it and would go on one again, especially with Jerry- such a wealth of information!

Darcy hanging over the edge!
Rylee climbing back up!

Trying to get Ash's life insurance, the shopping was that amazing-lol!

One night we headed up to the stratosphere, 107 floors up, this is the view of Vegas!
Can you believe there are actually rides up the top, called Sky Jump, Insanity, X-scream and big Shot, they should all be called insanity, you would need to be insane to do any of them!
We did enjoy watching the insane on the rides, giggling away as they packed their pants

Thanks sharing this part of our journey, next post will include some pics from Disney and the Disney cruise!
Until then have a fabulous weekend
