An accessories box!

Hellooo Sweeettt Craftersssss!! :)
It is nearly the end of August and I wanted to make something different.

I made this mixed media box !

I came across this Iphone box that I kept with me since ages! Thought could put into some use?

I started off by painting the entire box using Gesso from Sakura. And let it dry.

I used two stencils from ARTplorations:
1. Bold Florals - for the cover
2.Leaf print - for the bottom
I used a gold marker to trace these stencils over the box. Giving it a metallic start. I also colored the flowers on the front using black acrylic.

For the box, I struggled at positioning the flowers and finally kept in the way shown. :)
Later, I layered it with gesso and gave shades with white and black acrylic. I again layered with white acrylic and when half wet I brushed Bronze Dust all over. I didn't want too many embellishments. So , kept the bottom as it is. :)

Did you like this box? We can actually use it for keeping jewellery items and accessories. Or of course, craft embellishment! ;)

A Blue Party Dress!

Hellooo Sassy Ladiess!! :)

STAMPlorations has turned 2 and I got inspired by their colorful moodboard. Also, seeing the fun cards by DT members containing pretty PRETTY dresses (for the blog hop)! I thought of making one for the party too! :)

Here is the Moodboard:

And my card?

I made this blue colored dress using Card stock from Paper Mania. I embellished the dress with a lace at the bottom and a blue lace as a belt. Also, I shaded the dress using Mr.Heuy's water color and Koi water brush. :)

For the background, I used STAMPlorations "Trendy Butterfly" stamp set and different distress inks (Black soot, Salty ocean, Mowed lawn, Worn lipstick, Fire brick and Wild honey). The card stock is from Leme brand and adhered it over a white card stock. I have used Bo Bunny Sentiment set for the sentiment & Weathered wood DI and was done.

Now, Is the dress ready for the party? ;)

I am also entering this card for Mixed Media Card challenge - Blue

Remembrance!

Heyyy Ladies!!

"Time is Precious" isn't it?
What we have today is a Gift , that's why it is called a Present!
Time flies by, we get old, memories remain.
Wish we could freeze time, rewind, fast-forward it.

My Mixed Media Art today is inspired by Time, Numbers, and clock.

Here it is! :)

Technique:
I used a cardboard which was a part of a new shirt and up cycled it ;)
I applied 2-3 layers of Sakura Acrylic Gesso over it. I adhered Number Washi tapes shown and primed with another layer of gesso.
I used a stencil from Craftslane for the texture and Number stencil from local store for the numbers.
I used texture paste for the same.
Later, I used loads of patterned paper scrap and adhered it at the centre. I applied Gesso and acrylic white over them.
I used a feather, Wooden embellishments- Camera & clock, buttons, Mulberry flowers, foam punched flowers, leaves, eyelets, glass glitter.
I arranged these as shown and later primed them again with gesso. I used Acrylic colors- black, white gold, pearl colors, Bronze dust & water colors.
For the butterfly, I fuzzy cut it out and adhered it with glass glitter and acrylic white color. It gives such a cool texture! :)
I used a few stamps from Fiskars over the layout using wild honey and old paper distress ink.
The sentiment is hand-written.

Hope you guys like this new style of mixed media attempt that I tried? :)

I stamped a few sentiments(Bo Bunny to the point stamp set) here and there. Also, stamped a few triangular shapes from the same stamp set. I stuck a few embellishments -Wooden clock , flowers, button and a feather as shown. I also adhered musical digis alongside. I added a lace too! :)

A Mixed Media Layout

Heyyyaaa Lovelyyy Crafter Friendssss!! <3
I know, I have changed the look of my blog...did you like it? I am totally happy with it!

Well, I was excited creating my mixed media layout the first time inspired by Mr.Jack Sparrow.
I knew it then, I had to make more of them! ;)

So, I came up with another layout. This time inspired by International Women's Day which was celebrated on 8th of March! I created a 12 *12 inches layout on canvas. I have used the blue hues in this Shabby Chic layout.

Sneak peeks of my layout before showing you the full image! ;)

Firstly, I layered the canvas with Loads of floral patterned papers from Paper Mania. I cut out the edges from a few areas and adhered a crochet lace which seeks out from the torn parts ;)

I primed these papers using Mod Podge Matte finish, White Acrylic  Color and White Fabric color. The layout was spritzed with water after all this was done so that the papers got really wet! I dried them and primed with another layer of Mod Podge.

I adhered more patterned papers, laces and a corner wooden embellishment to the layout. I colored Prussian Blue acrylic color over the layout and let it dry. I brought Texture Paste(Ranger) recently and loving it totally!! This is the new technique that I am using and it's an amazing product.I have used Crafter's Workshop Stencils with Texture paste and let it dry overnight.

I used Bo Buuny Stamp set and Kaiser Craft Flutter Stamp Set along with Tim Holtz-Distress ink (Black Soot) over the layout.

I adhered buttons and flowers and arranged them. I layered them over with white pearl color and blue color to give them a glittery look. I added a few brads here and there and a few pearl embellishment. This gives your layout a girly look! :)

I printed out a few sentiments and cut them out. I added the sentiments to the layout and the beautiful picture over the space.

Here is the layout! I am dedicating this to the women all around the world who are proud of their women hood and want to celebrate it! Here is my post for the same.

Tell me how do you find it?

I am entering this layout for the below challenges:

Monster Mash

Hellooo my dear friends..!!

I am back. This is my first card in February! I came across a combination of colours that I really ADORE now! It is black, white and light green! I am really loving it! ;)

Check out my new card with this combination:

I have used a few funny Monster stamps over a white card stock. I have colored them using distress ink. I adhered it on a black paper. I learnt this new faux stitching technique and used it on my card. It gives your card a really sweet look! :)

Now, I added a few green sequins and glued a ribbon at the back of it!

For the interactive part, i have cut out the area covering the "Eye" of the monster so that when you open it...what you see is this... :D

Here is another look at this card! :)

I am entering this card for Tuesday Throwdown Challenge # 230 and for Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge # 286

Tuesday ThrowDown Challenge is Monster Mash
