So Blessed card

Here is an extra post for today :-) Yesterday I had a Board meeting and started work at 6am with just 5 hours of sleep the night before. To get through my meeting a HAD TO drink  a 5 hour energy (I hate them and NEVER drink them). My husband went to his basketball game and my kids were off at my moms so I figured I'd rest and fall asleep around 8pm. But NO I was wrong! I relaxed for a few hours then got the crafting bug. So at 8pm when I thought I'd be sleeping, I was making a card.

Here is the drawing I made during my Board Meeting lunch...

Here is what I created...
I've been wanting to use this Penny Black cling stamp "Posies" since I bought it. I used memento markers to color the flowers and leaves then HUFFED on it with my hot air :-) and stamped it. A little distressing and some Martha Stewart punched Butterflies and this card was created. Hope you like it. Next Wednesday is my Design Team Wednesday on the Stamp Fever Blog and I'm going to make a tutorial on how to color your stamps with ink markers.  I'll post it here as well when I'm done.

My Next Coloring Class Samples

Well I woke up early today and while my husband was golfing, my son was playing wii and my daughter was sleeping, I sat down to color the cards for my next coloring class. These samples are colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. I haven't colored the copic versions yet. Hope you like them, they still have a possible Mother's Day card feel to them. I kept the base white to show off the coloring this time.

This card is stamped with Penny Black's Spring Beauty and the sentiment is from Penny Black's "Graditude"

This card is Stamped with Penny Black's Mosaic and the sentiment is also from Penny Black's "Gratitude"

My Next Card Class Samples

Hello everyone in Blogland,

I've been very busy making tons of invitations but finally got around to making my card samples for my next class at Stamp Fever on Tues. April 24, and Sat. April 28. Here they are with a little description of what stamps I used. I made these with Mother's Day in mind but designed them to be used for any occasion. All 3 cards use the same pink and green tones and all pieces used are Kraft Cardstock. This way, it can also make the perfect set of cards as well. Hope you like them. They have had a great response on Flickr so far.

First lets start with my sketches. I actually thought these up and drew them in a staff meeting. I pay more attention when I doodle :-)

Rose Blossom
This card is made using the new LaBlanche Rose Blossom stamp. The sentiment is from Penny Black Gratitude.

Happy Mother's Day
This card is made using the new Penny Black Background Delicate Pattern cling stamp. The sentiment is Hero Arts Everyday Sayings. The Flower is first stamped with Hero Arts Small Solid Flower then cut with a punch. The leaves are stamped with the Hero Arts Vine Background then punched as well.
AND for my FAVORITE!!

Soft Wings
This card is made using the new Penny Black Soft Wings cling stamp. The sentiment is also Penny Black and is called Gratitude. The background both on the front and inside are Hero Arts Vine Background and Music Background Stamps. The banner is from Lawn Fawn and is called Bannerific.

Thinking of you card using Penny Black "Butterly Suite"

Well to start off 2012 I didn't expect to wake up with no voice for no reason. Not knowing if I'm sick, I cancelled my plans and decided to stay in today and craft. While my kids played wii I broke out my Penny Black "butterfly suite" stamp. I saw video by the talented Jill Foster a while back and I had to buy the stamp. Here's the card then I'll provide some step by step details.

First I stamped the image on copic paper using black momento ink. Then I colored the image in using copics. The flower is colored with BV00, BV02, BV04, BV13. The greens are YG07, YG09, YG17. The butterflies are colored with YR07, YR16, YR18. Each person colors differently but I color with the lightest, then med, then darkest, then again with the lightest to blend.

Here is just the image colored

Then I used Tim holtz distress ink in old paper and brushed corduroy. I distressed the entire paper with the old paper ink, then distressed the sides with brushed corduroy. I used a paper distresser to distress the sides, then added more brushed corduroy.

Here's a picture of this step as you can see I also added another layer of the butterflies, cut the out and only adhered the center to give it dimension

To finish the card I used lily bee design paper head over heels 6x6 tiny tablet. I added the distress ink over the paper to dull it down a little, added a distressed doily, a stamped sentiment by hero arts sending smiles messages and a bow. I also added hints of glossy accents to the flowers and butterflies.

Here is a slightly angled view so you can see the dimension in the butterflies.

Hope you like it.

Cards for Stamp Fever Class Oct 29th and Nov. 1st

Hi everyone,

Here are the cards I'll be making for my next card class at Stamp Fever on Saturday, October 29th and Tuesday, November 1st.

The first card we'll be creating a layered base and this adorable Turkey! Gooble Gooble!! Isn't he a cutie.

The second card is a slightly changed version of the card I made for Lily Pad. Here we use heat embossing on transparency. The picture doesn't do the ornament justice. It's embossed on both sides adding texture and sparkle!
The third card is the one that I made for my Lily Pad designer spot. When I had the idea in my head I knew it would be making this with my class as well. The window is super fun and easy. And this Penny Black set is too cute.

Cards from my Lilypad guest Designer Spot

Hi everyone and welcome to my new followers. If you didn't click through to my Lily Pad Guest Designer spot yesterday, I wanted to post the cards I made for them here. However, if you want the supply list, hop on over to my Lilypad post HERE to get it.

Here is the first card I made using Penny Black's Mimi's Halloween and Lawn Fawn's Happy Hauntings. I used a masking to create the background.
For my second card I used Lawn Fawn's Ornate Ornaments and Hero Arts Wood Grain background. I created the Ornament using transparency and stickles which makes it glassy and see through like a normal ornament would be.
For my third card I wanted to create a window with an indoor and outdoor scene. I used Penny Black's Mimi's Christmas and Hero Arts Starry Night. I used transparency in the window.

3rd card from first card class

So I finally got back to stamp fever today to take a picture of the 3rd card I had made for my first card class a week ago. I was asked by a lovely lady named Barbara to show her something new. So at midnight the night prior to my class I was designing a 3rd card and making 15 card kits. Gotta love my husband because he thought I was crazy and kept telling me to go to bed :-).
So can you find the cool part?? Okay I'll tell you :-) I embossed transparency and added it over the teal for the water. Then I cut her feet off and added them under the transparency so it looked like they were under the water. The stamp is penny black fun in the sun. The ladies loved this new technique. Hope you like it too!

Beach Day

Here is a cute card I made using the new Beach Day set by Penny Black. Isn't she the cutest? I colored her with Copics and covered the sun with stickles and glossy accents. I also covered her whole floatie with glossy accents to give it that rubber look.

Surfs up

Doesn't this image make you want to go surfing? This was made with the Penny Black set Fun in the Sun. She's just too cute for words!

Fun in the Sun

A made this using an adorable stamp set by Penny Black called Fun in the Sun. This set is a must have!! Too cute!

Mimi in Paris

Here is a cute card made using Penny Black's Mimi in Paris. I wanted to make the doggie fuzzy so I used white flock and I used purple twine for the leash and handbag handle.
