I was asked by a client to make a Birthday card for her friend. I was told he's a fun guy and was given a list of his likes. From there I choose to use movies, jelly beans and glitter. FUN right. Once I got an idea in my head and went back and asked her for a few pictures. She sent me a hilarious one where he has a wig on. I took that into photoshop and used the "Stamp Filter" to create the picture you see in the film strip. Then I added additional elements like the stars and camera. The camera and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn's Say Cheese too. The stars are older SU wood stamps I had. The flim strip I bought at a scrapbook expo a few years back. I added transparency over the images as well.
Here is a close up of the clapboard (I had to look the name up ha-ha). This I made completely by had a pencil, white pen and a ruler. It was pretty fun to make too. I used his birthday information here.
Here is a close up of the film reel. I cut 1/4 in strips of transparency put adhesive on each strip and rolled it around untill it was the thickness I wanted. For the reel itself I punched a 1 in circle then used a 1/4 punch to make the holes around it and in the middle. I then ran a grey copic (W9) all over the showing transparency to give it the film a worn look.
Below that is my box of Jellybeans. I created this by hand as well, drawing everyone of those little jelly beans with different color copic. I hand cut the little box and added transpareny as a little window and then blinged it out.
Here is the inside. This is the original picture I used to create the images on the front.
And of course I had to make my sticker on the back match so this is what it looks like too :-)
