Peace on Earth BetterPress card with wax seal

Hi everyone! I have pretty BetterPress Christmas card to share today. All the products I used are part of the Sealed Pretty Christmas 3D collection released last month. This collection features a fun ribbon box, 3 new 3D wax seal stamps, a floral stems BetterPress plate, new silicone spoons, wax warmer and LOTS of new wax bead mixes and colors!
I made 3 Ribbon Boxes using parts of this collection and if you missed them you can find them posted HERE.
SEALED POINSETTIA STEMS PRESS PLATE AND POINSETTIA 3D WAX SEAL

My card uses the gorgeous Sealed Poinsettia Stems press plate. I pressed it on Porcelain cotton card with the BetterPress black ink. I colored the image with Zig markers and added pops of red shimmer with a Glitter Brush markers.
For the sentiment, I foiled one of the sentiments from the press plate set and set it inside a blank wax seal made with the 1" circle wax seal stamp. I used the Must Have Christmas wax bead mix for my colors. There are 3 sentiments in the set that are sized and cut with a 1" circle die and I discovered they fit PERFECTLY in the blank wax seal!
For the envelope seal, I used the Poinsettia 3D Wax Seal stamp with the same Must Have Christmas bead mix and inked the raised images with the DecoColor Gold pen. AND if you work with wax seals, Spellbinders just started carrying the silicone spoons in a 2 pack and it's a MUST have to help get the wax out of your spoons!!

BetterPress Floral Background colored two ways

Hi everyone! I'm back today sharing another 2 cards from the Let's Celebrate collection by Yana Smakula for Spellbinders. If you missed my post from yesterday, check it out to see my cards using the Peony Background press plate. This collection features BetterPress plates, floral dies, stencils and even a wax seal! I love this collection and have a few more cards to share in a day or two.
FLORAL CELEBRATE AND LET'S CELEBRATE SENTIMENTS PRESS PLATES

My cards use the BetterPress plate Floral Celebrate and it's coordinating layering stencil set along with the Let's Celebrate Sentiments Press Plate. You don't have to use the layering stencils to color the press plate, so one of my cards uses it and the other I colored with Zig markers.
For this card, I inked up the plate with the Black BetterPress ink and pressed into Porcelain cotton card. I colored the whimsical floral background with some light colors of Zig Real Brush Markers. I just received an order of markers and they were already on my desk, so I went with it! I popped up the sentiment on a layered banner panel, and of course I needed a few flower accents, so I used my beloved Be Bold Blooms die set.
For my second card I wanted to do something different, so I inked the plate with the Black BetterPress ink and pressed into the light blue Glacier cardstock. I used the coordinating layering stencil set with Distress Oxide inks. I wanted to add some subtle shine to the card, so I added some Glitter brush marker accents to the blooms and greenery.

Supplies used on these cards:
Distress Oxide inks in Kitch Flamingo, Rustic Wilderness, Wilted Violet, Squeezed Lemonade, Bundled Sage, Blueprint Sketch

Spellbinders Mirrored Arch Collection -2 card designs

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing 2 cards using the Mirrored Arch collection by Spellbinders.
This collection features a brand new nesting label shape called Mirrored Arch Labels, 2 BetterPress plates, 1 BetterPress sentiment set and a 3D emboss and cut folder!
MIRRORED ARCH BLOOMS PRESS PLATE & MIRRORED ARCH LABELS

This card uses the Mirrored Arch Blooms press plate colored lightly with Zig markers. I used the Porcelain cotton card with my plates, trimmed the panel and mounted it on a light gray card base.
To give the sentiment panel a bit of interest, I die cut out the center of the Mirrored Arch Blooms image with the coordinating Mirrored Arch Labels, then die cut the sentiment out with 2 sizes smaller and popped it up in the center. The light gray card base shows through creating a reverse frame.

MIRRORED ARCH NESTED SPRIGS & MIRRORED ARCH LABELS

For this card, I used the Pebble Cotton card with the Mirrored Arch Nested Sprigs press plate. I love this soft gray color of the Pebble card. I brought in another color of BetterPress ink besides my go-to Black, for this card I also used the Coastal color from the Desert Sunset mini ink set.
This press plate set has 3 frame designs and I used them all, but wanted to give each their own moment, so I alternated my ink colors. I die cut them out with the coordinating Mirrored Arch Labels die set and adhered them together. For the sentiment, I used the sentiment that came with the set, die cut it out and popped it up with foam tape. I added a few flowers from the Mini Blooms and Sprigs die set and colored them to match.

Supplies used on these cards:
-----
BetterPress Black ink
Distress Oxide inks: Kitch Flamingo and Tumbled Glass

BetterPress Floral Alphabet - Letters S and B

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing 2 cards from the BetterPress Every Occasion Floral Alphabet collection. Each letter has a sentiment with it, but the letter could be used alone and make some amazing personalized stationery.
EVERY OCCASION FLORAL ALPHABET B AND S PRESS PLATES

Each letter in the alphabet has a wonderful floral design on them, but I enhanced the florals by adding small flower die cuts from the Four Petals Thank You Floral die set. They have a similar scale and feel to them and I wanted the flowers to pop off the card!
This card uses the Floral S press plate and it's sentiment is "ending Love". I used the largest scalloped rectangle die from the Heartfelt Thanks and Scallops die set and cut a piece of patterned paper from the Paper Rose Purple Haze 6x6 pad. The next scallop layer was cut from a piece of the porcelain cotton card. I sponged the image panel with a bit of lavender ink to give it a bit of dimension.
This card uses the Floral B press plate and it's sentiment is "est wishes". I kept the same card design and used a piece from the Butterfly Garden 6x6 paper for the largest scallop panel. The little butterfly accents on both cards were fussy cut from one of the papers in this gorgeous pad!!
If you like Paper Rose papers and ephemera, Spellbinders is now carrying them! Check out all the Paper Rose products here.

Clean and Simple Spring Magnolia card

Hi everyone! I have a clean and simple card to share today using the pretty Spring Magnolias Press plate and die set. It's part of the new Spring Sampler collection by Simon Hurley for Spellbinders.
SPRING MAGNOLIAS PRESS PLATE AND DIE SET

I just love the deep impression that the BetterPress plates leave in the cotton cardstock. Not gonna lie, using the BetterPress can be messy, and initially I avoided using press plates. But after playing around a bit, I found a couple ways to keep the mess down. Here are my tips:
Tip 1:
When applying the ink to the press plate, go over the plate with small circle motions without tipping the ink pad. This helps to keep the ink off the platform.
Tip 2:
Before you start, gather your stamp cleaner (make sure it's a good one!), a wet wipe and a microfiber cloth. BetterPress ink don't play, so after your finished, spray the cleaner all over the plates and platform. Wipe up with the wet wipe and dry off the plates and platform with the cloth. Clean up is so much easier this way!
I wanted to keep this card mostly white, so I lightly colored the magnolias at the base of the petals, leaving the flower tips white. I added some black splatter and a few gems for the final touches.

Supplies used on this card:
BetterPress Ink in Black
Zig Markers
Black Gouache
Purple gems

Pressed Posies BetterPress collection and a wax seal -2 card designs

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing 2 floral cards using some of the new BetterPress plates from Spellbinders. They are part of the Pressed Posies collection and they might my favorites ever!
A FRIEND LIKE YOU BOUQUET AND SEALED FLORALS PRESS PLATES

Both of these Press Plate sets are stunning! I pressed them with the BetterPress Black ink on Porcelain Cotton Card and colored them with my Zig Markers. I used a lavender glitter brush marker on the purple elements (twine and flowers) and I absolutely love how they turned out. You can even see the shimmer in the photos. Oh and that lavender glitter brush marker? I got that as a freebie on Scrapbook.com! Don't sleep on those freebies, they always have them, just add them to your cart! I am addicted and now have to get ALL the colors. Full Set Syndrome and all that, LOL!
SEALED FLORALS PRESS PLATE

This card uses the Sealed Florals Press Plate. This is designed with long stems with room for a wax seal and has 2 sentiments. I love using wax seals on my cards, so this set was a must have for me!
The wax seal on my card uses one of the new Must-Have wax bead mixes that Spellbinders now carries. This one is the Must-Have Purple Mix, be sure to check the entire new Wax Bead collection. They launched 10 new colors and 5 Must-Have color mixes!! I used the blank 3/4" solid circle wax seal stamp and that left room to add a small die cut flower to the center.
A FRIEND LIKE YOU BOUQUET PRESS PLATE

This card uses the A Friend Like You Bouquet press plate. It has this stunning bouquet and 4 sentiments. I just love it. The beautiful twine tied at the stems is perfection! On both of my cards I used some Spectrum AB gems as they have a purple tint and they match the purple elements on the cards.

Sunflower Bouquet BetterPress card

Hi everyone! Today's cards uses one of the new BetterPress plates by Spellbinders. Have you all tried the new BetterPress Letterpress system yet? I found it was fairly easy to learn and use. There are a lot of How-To videos on YouTube showing how it works. But in a nutshell, you put the press plate onto the magnetic platform, ink it up, tape your paper to the upper plate, put the two plates together and run it through your regular Platinum die cutting machine! Easy peasy and the final result is amazing!

My card uses the Sunflower Bouquet press plate on the Porcelain BetterPress Cotton card with BetterPress black ink. The Cotton cardstock is kind of like a water color cardstock in look and feel. It is 118lb and takes the impression of the press plate design beautifully! Check out my card.
I absolutely love this image! It's such a beautiful bouquet with lots of coloring opportunities AND the set comes with 4 sentiments! I colored the image with my Zig markers and layered the panel with 2 cardstock pieces in coordinating colors. To finish the card I added some gold pearl accents.

Going on right now through November 6, 2023 there is a BetterPress Block Party over at Spellbinders!

BetterPress Fall Collection by Spellbinders

Hi everyone! Today's cards uses some of the new BetterPress Fall collection by Spellbinders. Have you all tried the new BetterPress Letterpress system? I found this was fairly easy to learn and use.

My first card uses the Autumn Thanks Frame press plate on the Porcelain BetterPress Cotton card with BetterPress black ink. The Cotton cardstock is kind of like a water color cardstock in look and feel. It is 118lb and takes the impression of the press plate design beautifully! Check out my card.
I colored the leafy frame image with my Zig markers and added a touch of clear metallic watercolor paint to the inside frame and each berry. It adds the perfect amount of shine!
My second card uses fabulous Mushroom Duo Press plate on porcelain cotton card and inked with BetterPress Bark ink. I colored these cute mushrooms with the same Zig markers and added the White Metallic paint to the white dots on the mushrooms.  I colored and added a few tiny flowers from the Mini Fall Blooms die set.

Gina K Designs | February release Blue Violets cards

Hi everyone! Yesterday was the February release for Gina K Designs and I am SO EXCITED to share 2 cards using the new stamp set called Blue Violets. There are many other fabulous stamp and die sets in this release including A bundle called Radiant Roses and NEW Poly-Glaze Foiling Sheets! So be sure to check out the entire release!!

I am excited to work with the new Blue Violets stamp set designed by Arjita Singh. It is a gorgeous floral set with really great versatile beautiful sentiments.

**Please note This stamp set and coordinating dies are sold out, so be sure join the waitlist and you'll be notified when it comes back in stock!**

I struggle a little with the blue violet color range with my copic markers, so I knew immediately I wanted to use Zig watercolor markers on these gorgeous blue violet flowers. But I wasn't sure if they would look better embossed in white or black, so I did both. Here's how they turned out.

I embossed the image on Bistol Smooth cardstock which I find works the best with watercolor markers. I find coloring with Zigs relaxing and once I finished the first panel it didn't take long for me to complete the second one. These violets are stunning by themselves, so I kept things pretty simple. I created a frame by using the stitched frame die from the Master Layouts 2 die set combined with a smaller rectangle die from my stash. I lightly colored 1 frame with the Blue Haze color and the other with English Lavender.

Here is a close up of the card embossed in black with a Blue Haze frame.
Here it is embossed in white with a lavender frame. Do you have a favorite?
Supplies used on these cards:
Embossing Powder -I used white and black
Zig markers - English Lavender, Deep Violet, Deep Blue, Deep Green, Light Green,
Yellow Green and Blue Haze

Gina K Designs June release

Hi everyone! Tonight is the June release for Gina K Designs and I am SO EXCITED to share a few projects using 2 new sets. There are many other fabulous stamp and die sets in this release (including A NEW KIT called Feathers and Flora), so be sure to check them all out!!

The 2 sets I will be working with are:

First up I have a trio of sympathy cards using the Sympathy and Love Stamps and dies. I made 3 so I would have them ready in my stash because these can be challenging to make in the moment. Each card uses a different sentiment, embossing folder and color for the butterflies. I used a piece of organdy ribbon from my stash on each and coordinated the colors to match.

I used the oval dies from the Master Layouts 01 die set for the sentiments.
The colors and folders I used are:
Embossed Gold and White with the Lovely Lattice folder
Christmas Pine with the Swiss Dot folder
Lovely Lavender and embossed Silver with the Tapestry folder

Last is a simple and easy retirement card using the Let's Camp stamp set, Master Layouts 2 dies and my Zig markers. I'm discovering that coloring with Zigs is way faster than with Copics. Last week I was crazy busy with my son's graduation and award ceremonies, so I barely had time to craft. Coloring this cute camper image with Zigs was quick and easy and turned out pretty cute.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great evening!!

Stamp Simply Clear Stamps -Have a Cup on Us

Hi everyone! Attention coffee lovers!!
I am excited to share a card using the Stamp Simply Clear Stamps NEW Have a Cup on Us stamp and die set!
It's a darling set and perfect for all of us coffee lovers!!
The stamp set has 3 sizes of cups and each size has a plain cup and a cute patterned one. I chose the largest patterned cup for my card and colored in the dots with my Zig markers. Once they dried, I added some Glossy Accents on each dot to create a "ceramic" effect.
I heat embossed the sentiment with Versamark ink and black embossing powder, so it would match the glossy dots. I then added some die cuts from the Two Sprigs die set and placed them "overflowing" from each cup.
If you want to see my coloring in action, head over to my Instagram page and check out my reel!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Gina K Designs February release

Hi everyone! Tonight is the February release for Gina K Designs and I am SO EXCITED to share a few projects using the new set - One Day At a Time illustrated by the talented Lisa Hetrick. This set has 2 pear images, 1 background maker and a variety of leaf and branches.
There are many other fabulous stamp and die sets in this release, so be sure to check them all out!!
Both my cards are mini slimline sized using Gina's Master Layouts 7 die set. One card focuses on the large pear and the second on the branch and pear blossoms.
For this card, I used copic markers to color the large pear, leaves and blossoms and used the background stamp repeatedly in soft gray to create a subtle backdrop.
For my second card, I colored the branch and blossoms with my Zig Real brush markers. I don't use them enough and they are so quick and easy to use. To make the cards coordinate, I used the same background stamp and ink to make the backdrop.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening. Here are a few close up pics.
