Challenge 77! Let's Get Krafty!! Also National Scrapbooking Day Sale! Up to 75% off!!

Hi all you Happy Stampers out there. First of all I must tell you that Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is celebrating National Scrapbooking Day and Mother's Day by having a big ol' SALE!!! There are over 100 stamps from all of our lines on sale 25-75% off!! Yes, you read that right! This sale will run from Friday May 6th - Tuesday May 10th! And some of these images will be retiring shortly, so get them before they are GONE!!! (Cannot be combined with other coupons/discounts!)

Now to the other business of the day. This week our challenge is to use Kraft cardstock on our cards. Our hostess this week is the Tantalizing and Talented Tracy. Tracy lives in Chatham so is only a few miles away from me. I had the pleasure of meeting 'Ribbons, Buttons and Pearls' at the launch celebration for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, but I haven't seen her since. We have had a few krafty days and get togethers since, but either I was not there or Tracy wasn't there. One of these days we will connect once more. Anyway, I love Tracy's work and I would love to watch how she colours with her Prisma pencils as I am hopeless with them. I can barely function with Copics!!

Okay, so I used Astronaut Andy for my card. Andy is one of the April Release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and he is perfect for a boy card. I coloured him with my Copics, then cut him out with my rectangle Nesties, then framed that layer with some Kraft cardstock, then used my Scalloped Nesties behind that. I used some K and Company Summer Travel DP, matted onto some Bermuda Bay C.S. and then onto my card base of Kraft cardstock. I added some Kraft Taffeta ribbon and I used the sentiment 'Flyin' High' from Kimmie's Steampunk Sentiments and attached it with a copper brad.

So now you get to make a Krafty creation and be sure to link it up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win some new rubber!

Now be sure to stop back next Wednesday as we will be starting the Krafty Peeks for May. Just wait till you see what we have for you. As always the Krafty Girls will be showing some awesome cards made with the soon to be released stamps. And make sure you take part in our blog hop for next Sunday, the 15th. and leave a comment at each of the Krafty Girls and Guests Blogs for a chance to win some of the new rubbah!! What could be better?!!

Make sure you check Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog to look at all the cards the Krafty Girls have made for this week's Challenge.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Blessings,

Happy Easter and Challenge 75. Let's see your Frills!!

Hi all you stampers out there, I do wish you a happy and Blessed Easter! I have been MIA for a few weeks as my husband and I and our darling granddaughter Emileigh have been in Florida. I wish I could say it's good to be back, but we came home to such grotty weather after all the sun and heat there, that I almost wish I was still there.

Okay, so this week's hostess for the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge is the very Krafty Krista She would like us to use lace or frills on our cards. She has used 'Diana' so that's the stamp you will win if your creation should be randomly chosen.

For my card I used the gorgeous 'Isabelle', I think all the fairies are adorable, I can't wait to get back down to business and use them all. I coloured her with my Copics of course, I used some Stardust and Cotton Candy Stickles on her wings and I brushed some Smooch Pearlized Topcoat on her hair. For my patterned papers, I used the new K and Company Sweet Nectar. I used some Olive Dew Drops on the image layer and some white frilly ribbon down the left side. The cardstocks I used are Kiwi Kiss, Bashful Blue and Real Red. The sentiment I used is from Kraftin' Kimmie's Fairy Sentiments.

Be sure and link your creations up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog for a chance to win Diana and so we can all check them out.

That's it for me, I pray you will have a wonderful time this weekend with family and friends.

Blessings,
Diana

Challenge 68. Use twine or floss!!

Well, hello to all you inky people out there. It's Saturday once again and time for Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge 68!!

This week, our very talented hostess is Jeanne and she would like us to use twine or floss or something similar on our cards. Since Jeanne is using Stella Strawberry on her lovely card, that is the stamp that some lucky lady will win.

For my card, I used Curtis. If you can believe it, I had not yet inked him up and he is so cute. Most of the rest of the design team have made lovely cards with him, but I just had not got to him yet. He is so perfect for a masculine card, I think and I never have enough 'guy' cards, so this is one more for my very small collection. I coloured Curtis with my Copics and cut him out using my Deckle Rectangle Nesties. I then mounted the image layer onto some Basic Black cardstock, which I had dry embossed using a folder with bubbly looking circles on it. I can't remember the name of it and I threw away the package long ago!! Unfortunately you can't see it in the picture anyway!! I used some Olivia papers from Basic Grey. I used a panel of the paper across the front, matted it onto some black, then tied some of the required twine across it. I matted it all onto some more black and set it on a card base of Kiwi Kiss. I used some dew drop sort of thingies down the right side and added the sentiment 'Best Fishes'

So now it's your turn to make a card or creation using twine or something similar on your card and see if you can win Stella Strawberry! Don't forget to link your card up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog.

I do hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings,

Diana

Happy New Year and Challenge 60!

Wow, it seems like forever since I've been on here, but I expect most of you gals have taken some time off during this busy time of year.

I've only just realized that I used Willard on my last post!! I have been working on some Sneaky Peeks for the run up to next week's January release, so I forgot which one was which. Anyway, obviously I love Willard, that's why I used him again.

This week's Krafty Challenge is from our fabulous Michele and she would like us to make our cards using no ribbon, string, trim, lace or fibres of any kind. I thought it would be difficult as I love my ribbons etc., but I survived and I'm fairly happy with the results. I used Cosmo Cricket's Mini Deck as my patterned papers and my card base is rose red, as is the strip across the middle, The other cardstocks are Baja Breeze and Old Olive. The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments. I added some Prima flowers with some little red roses in the centres. I also added some tiny pink heart brads at the top right.

Now let's see what you krafty girls can do, I can't wait to see them. Don't forget if you link your cards up to a website like Splitcoast, put KKSC60 in your keywords so we can find them.

Well, back to working on the sneaky peeks for next week's release, which you are going to love.

Blessings everyone,

Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 52! Primarily Purple!!

Hello again all you stampers, I hope you are having a great weekend. It's getting pretty nippy here in S.W. Ontario, I don't know about anywhere else!! I love the fall, but I don't like the fact that winter is next to come.

Well, yesterday I had a great crafty day here at my house with a great bunch of ladies. The theme was Christmas cards and some lovely creations were made by all. I can't wait to do it again, hopefully really soon.

Anyway, now to my post for today. This is my Challenge card for this week and as the title says, we are to make a card that is primarily purple. This was a struggle for me as I really wanted to stay with the Christmas theme, but I have very little Christmassy paper with purples in it. So I worked with what I had. I then made it even more difficult for myself by choosing a Santa Claus stamp, which needed to have red in it for Santa's attire. Purple and red, not my first choice of combos. Anyway, I tried it and I'm not terribly unhappy with the colours.

I used a card base of Almost Amethyst, matted some Elegant Eggplant onto it and put my Bo Bunny paper on top of that. I put another strip of Bo Bunny across the front, matted onto Elegant Eggplant, onto which I had punched a border of Snowflakes with my M.S. border punch.

I coloured my 'Miles and Maisie Claus' image with copics and doodled a little frame around it. I matted it with Almost Amethyst, then pop dotted it onto the card. I punched out a couple of M.S. Snowflakes and put red pearls in the centre, some red ribbon across the strip and punched out my 'Merry Christmas' sentiment with my small oval punch and set that onto a piece of Elegant Eggplant punched out with a larger oval punch. That's it, Bob's your uncle and I'm finished.

Now we would like to see your 'Primarily Purple' creations. Have fun, can't wait to check out your work. Be sure to go to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog and link up your card there and also, do go and check out the other Krafty Girl's creations, they are gorgeous!!

Have a wonderful weekend,
Blessings,
Diana

Sneaky Peek and Challenge #45!!

Well, hi and Happy Saturday everyone, hope you are having a good weekend so far. Today you will be seeing the last Sneaky Peeks for the September Release. Tomorrow is Release Day, so make sure you come back to see all the new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, which will be available on the website. Also we will have a great blog hop for you all to join in and maybe win some of the new stamps.

This week the challenge is brought to us by Miss Kraftin' Kimmie herself. She would like us all to make a Girly Girl card using pink and sparkles. This was a fun one to do. I used Betty from the September Release of Glamour Girls. I used lots of Daisy D's Sweet Baby Jane patterned papers, which I just love. I used one of the patterns to frame Betty with my Scalloped Nesties. I pop dotted that layer onto another of the patterns, this one with a white background. I matted that layer onto some Mauve Mist, which is long retired, but I am so glad I still had some as it Matches perfectly with these papers. I put a couple of semi-circles peeking out from behind that layer, which I then put onto another of the patterns with butterflies on. Again I matted that onto Mauve Mist and then onto a card base of Gable Green. I added a few flowers in the corner with some green half pearls in the centres, then some more pearls in the corners. I finished with the sentiment 'Hello Dolly', which is from one of Kraftin' Kimmie's Sentiment sets.

That's it for me for today, now why don't you go and check out all the other awesome Krafty Girl creations.

See you tomorrow,
Blessings,
Diana

Miles and Maisie with Stars, Challenge #42

Well, it's Saturday and here I am as promised with another card. It's time for Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #42 and this week I am the hostess. What I would like you to do this week is use stars on your cards. It can be in your papers, punched stars, in your image or in your ribbon, however you want to do it.

I've used Hallowe'en Miles and Maisie all dressed up as a vampire and the bride of Frankenstein.
I coloured in Miles and Maisie, then cut them out with my Nesties. Then while the image was still in the die, I sponged around them with some pale yellow chalk ink. I used a piece of Hallowe'en DP (I don't know what it is as this is another piece I scrounged from my DD) and matted it onto Barely Banana, then Black. I tied a piece of ribbon on the rectangle piece, stuck it down on the left of the background, then I pop dotted the image layer towards the right side. I punched out some different sized stars and arranged them in the bottom corner and stamped Happy Hallowe'en at the top on Barely Banana, matted onto black. I added a couple of black gems on the ends and a couple more on the stars. So that's it, I have stars in my DP and stars in the corner. Now be sure and check out all the other girls cards, you will find them at Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog. Then let's see your creations, I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Boy Card Challenge!

Well, hi and Happy Saturday to everyone!! This week, our Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps hostess with the mostest is the Vivacious Vicki. She wants us to make a birthday card for a boy. I'm always happy to have an excuse to make a masculine card as I never seem to have enough of those.

For my card, I used Surfing Miles as I think he's perfect for a boy card or even for a teenage boy. I coloured Miles with my Copics and cut him out using one of my Labels Nesties. I then sponged around the frame with Cantaloupe ink. I used some gorgeous Mango Twist DP in two different patterns. I matted them onto some Tempting Turquoise and some Apricot Appeal, which I also used for the card base. I added a cute little seahorse using Tempting Turquoise, then I tied a shell charm on some linen thread and attached it from top to bottom. I finished by stamping 'Sandy Wishes' from Kraftin' Kimmies Mermaid Sentiments.

So now you can go and make a Boy's Birthday card and show it on Kraftin' Kimmies Challenge Blog. Can't wait to see what you make. Make sure you check out Kimmie's Challenge Blog to see all the creations of the other Krafty Girls.

See you later,
Diana

All the Pinks!

Hello again, I hope you are having a great weekend. Here in S.W. Ontario we are having a welcome cool down after a 4 or 5 day heatwave. It has been just dreadful, so we are thankful to be rid of the high heat and humidity. I think for the last couple of days, the high was 34C and with the Humidex factored in, it was like 44C. That is just horrid.

Anyway, now to this weeks' Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge. Our hostess this week is the Amazing Andrea, who wants us to use lots of pink on our cards. I used the Tree Fairy for my card, colouring her with my Copics of course. I can't remember the name of the patterned papers I used as I made this card while I was staying with my DD, Kraftin' Kimmie and I used some from her stash. I cut out the Fairy using some Labels Nesties, then cut out a larger piece in Going Gray and set the image on that. I used a square piece of the pretty flowery paper behind it, matted it on some more Going Gray and then put a strip of the other side of the patterned paper along the lower half, with a Pink Pirouette border behind it. Then I put a piece of Kimmie's yummy pink satin ribbon across and tied it. I put a few flowers in the top corner, then stamped the sentiment from Kimmie's Fairy Sentiments on a strip of P. Pirouette.

That's it, now it's your turn. If you create a card using one of Kraftin' Kimmie's stamps, you will be in for the random draw to win Nerissa, which is the stamp Andrea is using on her card. Be sure to go over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog and see all the pink creations from all the Krafty Girls.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Diana

Presenting Princess Petunia and Sketch Challenge!

Good morning peeps,

Here we are once again with a Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge. This week our krafty hostess is the Divine Donna and she has given us a lovely sketch to follow. It's a great one and you will find the actual sketch over at Krafty Kimmie's Challenge Blog. I had fun with this one.

For my card, I used Princess Petunia. As usual, I coloured her with my Copics, then I cut her out using my Nesties and sponged around her while she was still in the frame. I used some Sandylion patterned papers and ran some yummy organdy ribbon across the card. I put a group of yellow flowers in the top right corners and punched out some leaves to go behind them, in Certainly Celery. The card base is Barely Banana and the border behind the main patterned paper is Baja Breeze. I added the sentiment on some Baja Breeze and there you have it.

Now you can go to Kimmie's Challenge Blog and see what all the other Krafty Girls have done for you to see. Then be sure to take some time to enter this challenge and as usual, the randomly chosen winner will receive Mae, which Donna has used on her card.

Hope you all have a great weekend,
Blessings,
Diana

Triangle Challenge! #32 and Bartholomew the Bard.

Hi everyone and I hope you are having a great Saturday. It's time again for the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge, it's week 32, if you can believe it. This week, it's my turn to host it and I decided I would like us to all use triangles on our cards. Any kind of triangle you like, be it obtuse, equilateral, scalene acute, isosceles, or whatever. (Who said I didn't learn anything in Geometry class). You can make your own triangles with your papers like I did, or use whatever you like as long as you have triangles on your card. For inspiration, make sure you check out Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog and see what the Krafty Girls have done.

Now to the card. I used some DCWV Natural Stack with foil, I just love it, all earthy tones with some shiny copper foil in it. I used Chocolate Chip for the card base and put a square of More Mustard on it, then I made triangles of the patterned paper, cutting them to fit nicely on the square. I took my colours from the papers and coloured Bartholomew the Bard with greys, browns and mustard shades from my Copics. (One was the one you gave me, Andrea, so thank you again!) I cut him out using my new Mega Classic Scalloped Ovals. Phew, what a mouthful!! I then sponged around the scallops with Memento Cantaloupe Ink. I love that colour!! I pop dotted the image, then I used the Kraftin' Kimmie Sentiment, 'Sending You a Note', heat embossing it with Copper Embossing Powder. I put a couple of tiny copper brads on the ends of it, then I used some copper ribbon across the middle.

Now, since I used Bartholomew for my card, that is what you will win, if you are randomly chosen from the entrants. The accompanying stamp is ' Let's Make Beautiful Music Together', so you will win that too. The one I used actually comes with Marie Antoinette, but I like it with Bart too, since he's playing some notes.

Don't forget to check out the creations on Krafty Kimmie's Challenge Blog and then get your mojo working and show us whatcha got.

Blessings,
Diana

Challenge #31. Rough it up!!

This week, our hostess for the challenge is Krista and she wants us to 'rough it up' on our cards, distress on them or whatever you think it means to rough it up!! I don't do much distressing on my cards, but it's mostly because I'm too lazy and the fact that I don't like making a mess. Ask my daughter!! In fact, I made this card yesterday while staying at her house and I even went outside in the heat and distressed my pieces of paper because I don't like all that stuff going on the floor and on me.

Anyway, for this one, I used Henri from the Tea Party release. I think he's so dapper and cute and I always need masculine cards. As usual when I'm at Kim's, I scrounged some of her D.P. and I don't know what it's called. I love the shades in it though and I was able to put Crushed Curry and Elegant Eggplant together. I really like the combination. I coloured Henri with my Copics as always, put him on some of both the colours, then I distressed some of the D.P., placed the striped one on some distressed Crushed Curry, then put it on a card base of Elegant Eggplant. I put a strip of the flowery paper down the left side, added some polka dot ribbon and then put the sentiment on another piece of the matching paper.

If you use your Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, you will be entered to win the Perfect Poison stamp, which is the one Krista used on her fabulous card. Go to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog to link up your creations and don't forget that if you put your cards on somewhere like Splitcoast, use KKSC31 in your keywords, so we can easily find you.

So have fun distressing (your cards, not you) and we can all check them out.

May you have a blessed weekend,

Diana

Maxwell's a Charmer! Challenge #30

Well, Happy Saturday everyone! I truly hope it's a great one for you and that you are getting to spend it doing something you like.

The Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge this week is to use a charm on your card. I think I have only ever once used a charm on my card before, but fortunately I did pick up a few this week. Since one of them is a toadstool, I knew right away I wanted to use Maxwell leaning against his cute fat little toadstool, toasting his marshmallow. It's been quite a while since I have used him, so I was happy to have an excuse to colour him again.

I did so with my Copics, then matted him onto some Pumpkin Pie. I used some yummy papers that my darling daughter shared with me, but I don't know what they're called. She got to keep the front with the name on it. I guess that is only fair. I cut out a piece of the DP with the circles and matted it on Barely Banana, then tied some Chocolate GG Ribbon around it, then tied my charm on with some linen thread. I used my Nestie Double Ended Tags for the sentiment, put some brown brads on the ends and set it on an angle at the bottom. I used some brown half pearls at the top right, then put it all on a Pumpkin Pie card base. That was fun!!

Now how about you? We want to see what you will come up with. Link your creations up to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog and you could be the random winner of the Eleanor stamp from the latest release. Tara is our terrifically talented hostess this week and that's the image she used. Check her card out, it's wonderful. Actually all of the Krafty Girls cards this week are fabulous. Our team rocks!!

Have fun and I want to check out your cards this week!

Blessings,
Diana

Challenge #27 A Sketch!

Well, Hi to all of you ladies out there! I hope you've had a good week. It hasn't been the best week for our family as our darling daughter Kraftin' Kimmie has been really sick. I went up to spend a few days with her last Friday, just to hang out with her, Al and our sweet Emileigh and to help her with some rubber. When I arrived there in the morning, Kim was feeling just awful and kept getting worse. Al took her to the hospital and it was suspected that she had diverticulitis. She was quite ill all week, but I'm thankful to say is much better now and it isn't diverticulitis. We aren't sure yet quite what it is as we are waiting for some test results and some more tests, I'm just glad she is feeling better.

Needless to say, I am quite behind with everything and making cards was not on my mind during this time. However, I did get one made yesterday for this week's challenge, which is to use this great sketch from our super talented Jeanne. You can find the actual sketch at Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog, but what you see on my card is basically it. I used Bench Friends because I love that stamp, it's so sweet. I used TPC Studio Bugs and Butterflies patterned papers. I cut out circles with my nesties and put a pinked circle in between the two sizes using Rose Red cardstock. I put a couple of flowers on the top circle, then put the circles on another piece of the patterned paper, matted that onto YoYo Yellow, which I put on a card base of Rose Red. I coloured Cindy and Mindy in, matted the image onto Rose Red, put a flower on the corner of that and pop dotted it onto the card. I punched out the sentiment 'Friends Make Life Bearable' and set it in the top right corner.

Now let's see your creations using this sketch. Use your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and if your card is randomly picked, you will win Queen Guinevere as that's the stamp Jeanne used. Check out Jeanne's card as it's just awesome! I wanna be her when I grow up!!

I also want to mention that Kraftin' Kimmie is having a sale for the whole weekend on her website. She has stamps on sale for 25-50% off. Now that's a deal and who doesn't love a deal. I know I do!!

I hope you have a blessed weekend and that you find a few minutes to stamp.

Better late than never!!

Well, good morning all you stampers, I'm afraid I'm very late posting today. My darling daughter Kimmie was very sick yesterday and ended up going to the hospital emergency last night. After a 6 hour wait, during which time she was in agony, the doctor has concluded that she probably has diverticulitis. She is feeling better this morning, but is far from well.

You may wonder what that has to do with me not posting. Well, I had come here to stay for a few days and help her with some stamp related work, but having only just got back from Florida, I had only managed to get my card finished before I came, but was going to have her take a picture for me, etc. Well, since she was so ill, that didn't happen, poor girl. She has however done it for me now, so here we are.

Anyway, the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge for this week is to use flowers on your card, whatever kind of flowers you like, be it in your papers, or embellishments or whatever. Our Divine Miss Andrea is the hostess for this weeks' challenge and if you enter your card and it is randomly chosen, you will win the Swinging Emmylou stamp as this is the stamp Andrea has used on her card. Just go to Kimmie's Challenge Blog and link your card up there to be in with a chance to win the stamp.

For my card I used Lisette! I used Really Rust for the card base and Barely Banana to mat the DCWV paper onto. I cut out Lisette and set her onto a piece of the papers cut out with my Nesties. Of course I used my Copics to colour Lisette. I added some Prima Flowers here and there and some Dusty Durango ribbon.

Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to make a card with flowers on for the challenge.

Blessings,
Diana

Getting Punchy!

Well, hi there all you crafty girls out there! It's time for another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge today and this week, our fabulous Miss Jeanne is our hostess. Jeanne wants us all to get out our punches and use them on our creations. This can be our regular trusty punches or our nifty Nesties. Well, they do punch, don't they? I had great fun with this one, I love punching!!

I used the adorable Bonnie and Clyde for this one. It was created by the mega talented Crissy Armstrong, I love everything she does. This image is perfect for an anniversary card and I needed one to send to some very special friends in England. They were married one week after us, so they have been married 42 years now. Hi Jen and Mike!!

The card base is Pumpkin Pie and I used Sweet Always S.U. patterned papers with it and matted them onto Chocolate Chip. I coloured the sweet image with my Copics and punched it out with my Curved Rectangles Nesties, then punched out the next size up with some of the polka dot paper. I used a border punch on the Pumpkin Pie strip, punched out some butterflies with my M.S. Butterfly punch and punched out the sentiment with my Modern Labels Punch. See, told you I was getting Punchy.

So now let's see what you have to show us using your punches! Anyone can enter the challenge, but if you use your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, you will have a chance to win whatever stamp Jeanne is using on her creation this week. Just go to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog and link your card there.

Happy Crafting ladies,
Diana

Girls Can Do Anything!!

This is just a simple card I'm posting today. I used Emelia, who is actually a pilot. She's one of a recent release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and she comes with a little plane accessory stamp, which I didn't use this time, but it's so cute.

I'm not sure what the patterned papers are, but I love them. As is often the case, I scrounged them from my DD Kraftin' Kimmie. It was nice to do an easy card for a change, although I like the challenging ones too. There isn't much to explain about this one, I used my Copics as usual and I sponged around Emelia with some chalk ink. The card base and matted green papers are Bazzill.

I am keeping in touch with my Kimmie and family as they are having a much needed vacation this week in Florida. Because of this, the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge is extended for another week, so if you haven't participated yet, you still have lots of time. The present challenge is to use eyelets on your card. Not too hard, right? The hardest part for most of us is finding them as I think a lot of us have gone on to so many new embellishments that we have forgotten about our poor old faithful eyelets. If you do make a card and you upload it to somewhere like Splitcoast, be sure to put KKSC22 in your keywords so that we can check out your creations.

Well, have a great day and may the Lord bless you greatly,

Diana

Time for another Challenge!

Hello all you stampers out there! It's Saturday again and you know what that means. Another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge. No. 22, to be exact. This week our insanely talented and creative Michele wants us to use eyelets on our cards. If you go to Michele's blog or Kimmie's Challenge Blog, you will see what I mean. Her creation for this challenge blew me away. How this girl comes up with these ideas, I don't know.

So come on girls, we all have them and in fact I know that some of us haven't used them in so long, we are finding them where we didn't know we had them. Actually I love eyelets, but for some reason I forget about them these days. There was a time when I put them on almost every card, but I think with the emergence of brads, I got lazy and now I reach for them all the time.

For my card, I used Gone Fishin', one of the many cute Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps created by the amazing Crissy Armstrong. I just love this. The image comes with the accessory stamp 'Gone Fishin', but I decided to use 'It's Your Day', from the Everyday Sentiments, also by Kraftin' Kimmie. I stitched the background DP onto the So Saffron card base, then stitched a strip of DP down the left side, coloured the image with my Copics and stitched it onto the DP. I added a Pinking Circle of So Saffron in the corner of the main layer, added some S.S. eyelets to the green strip and threaded some hemp twine through the eyelets and tied it. Then I stamped the sentiment on Bashful Blue and cut it out with my Modern Labels punch. I thought it would make a cute birthday card for a boy.

So go ahead girls, pull out those lonely eyelets and your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and get inspired. First though, go to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog and check out what all the Krafty Girls have to inspire you. Then let's see what you have for us to ogle over by linking it to the Challenge Blog. If you put your creations on Splitcoast, be sure to put KKSC22 in your keywords so that we can all go and see them.

Have a great weekend, see you again soon.

Blessings,
Diana

Previewing Babette and Saturday Challenge!

Hi and Happy Saturday everyone!! Today is our Saturday Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge and this week our totally talented Tara wants us all to use beads on our creations. Now I love beads, but I don't use them very often as I don't think of it. Now Tara has inspired me, perhaps I'll remember to use them more in future.

For my card I used Babette, another of the sassy dancing girls from the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps March Release. These lovely ladies are illustrated by our awesome artist Annie Rodrigue. I coloured Babette using my Copics and matted her onto Regal Rose. I have been at my DD Kimmie's for the past few days, so I got to use her stuff. I used some of her gorgeous DCWV Glitter Stack patterned paper. Actually I started the card at her house, then brought it home this afternoon and finished it just now, so I used my own Certainly Celery ribbon and some cute little Prima Flowers. I used the accessory sentiment stamp that comes with Babette and it says 'Wanna Dance?' Now you may have to look hard, but I used some green micro beads on her fan. I don't have a big assortment of beads and this green worked the best with my image.

So now be sure to check out all the other Krafty Girl's Blogs and see who they are showing today and what they have done with their beads, then get cracking and show us what you come up with using beads. One lucky lady will win the Victoria stamp and accessory stamp as that's what Tara is using on her gorgeous card.

Make sure you come back on Sunday for the March Release Day and Blog Hop. Be sure to leave comments on all the Krafty Girls Blogs for that day as there are prizes to be won and the more comments you leave, the better your chances for winning, right?

Have a great day,
Diana
