ICRC29 - Elements and a "Theme" Twist

Hello Friends, Happy May and hoping to see lots of May Flowers :))

May means new Challenge over at ICR.  Here is the Challenge for the month of May ICRC29 – Card with Elements and a “Theme” Twist.

You'll be using ELEMENTS on your cards that you'll find on our DT Blogs.  That's right...you'll have to visit each of the five DT blogs listed below for the elements.  You only need to put three of the elements onto your card, but you can use more than three if you'd like.

Finally, you must visit the ICR Blog for the TWIST!!!

My Element is FLOWERS :)) (Yup..Gotta have some flowers for May).

Here is my card,

It was fun working on this CAS Card. The sentiment is from Verve stamp set. I love to create Monochromatic card - cream and white in this case with some Pop of Red and Pink Colors.

So you have some visiting to do!  Have fun, and I look forward to seeing your projects on ICR! Be sure to list the three elements that you've used, when posting your cards. If you have any questions, please reach out to any of the DT members!

I wanted to share this card that I did for August SFYTT challenge hosted by Jen Del Muro. The sketch was nice, you could keep it simple or jazz it up.

I used the Verve Kind Words stamp set for this card and used one of the sentiments (i just love this sentiment) from that stamp set.

I am also entering this card for the ICR Challenge #20 - To use embossing on your project and to have a sentiment that has three different fonts in it. My white panel in the card is dry embossed with the textiles embossing folder.

February Viva La Verve Challenges - Week 1 and 2

It had been a while since I participated in Verve Sketch Challenges on SCS. Life happened and time was running!!!!! But I loved all the 4 sketches from February and decided to play. There is still time if you are interested to participate as well - Click here to visit their thread on SCS Forum.(Verve stamps are not needed, I use them as it is a good time to put these stamps to use).

Here are my cards from Week 1 and 2,

For both these cards I used VERVE Stamp set called Making a statement. I just love this set (the font for sentiments is amazing I think). I am not getting paid to say this - but I love VERVE and their fast shipping and this stamp set is on their spring sale right not.

They also have a die for the loopy flowers, next time I will for sure get those as it will be easier than cutting the by hand.

Here are the sketches,

Pink and Black Thinking Of You

I  made this pink and black - Thinking of you card for my friend in India. I used the Sketch #4 of Verve December VLV Sketches. This sketch is designed by Teresa - she has some awesome Verve creations on her blog.

The theme this time was Christmas Ornaments and Decor. I used this Pink and Black Ornament from Etsy as my inspiration.

I used the Verve Kind Words stamp set for this card. I have stamped the flower from this set in Ranger DI - Spun Sugar. It has that dreamy pink look. I stamped the sentiment over it using Memento Black Ink. The papers are all from my stash - they are a mix of KI memories and PTI.

Also for the very first time I also tried Dawn McVey's Ribbon tying tutorial and I have to say, I am very happy with how my bow turned out. Some MS Punched out Butterflies completed my card.

Here is the sketch,

I am back with my second card for the VERVE December Viva La Verve Challenges. This is my entry for the Sketch#2 by the talented Sankari Wegman. The theme this time was to take Inspiration from Christmas Ornaments and Home Decor. I was browsing Etsy for some Christmas Ornaments and found this awesome Purple Cupcake Ornament. So, I used the theme and color from this Ornament for my card.

The Seize the Cupcake set from VERVE Was perfect for this card. I cut out the sentiment using Nestabilities Petite Oval and then hand cut the cupcake and popped it up with a few foam dots. I have added some glitter on the cupcake as well.

Yellow Butterfly

I have not dropped off the face of the earth!!!! Just was on vacation and after I came back from vacation, my mojo took one :) We have finally reunited and I have a card to share with you all.

I did this card for The Play Date Cafe Challenge #60. It was to do a black and white card with a splash of Yellow. :)

The paper looks slight more Orange in color in my photo, but it is a beautiful shade of yellow - slightly darker than a lemony yellow.

I used the Verve Stamp sets - Happy Hello and Fluttering By and used the Viva La Verve December Sketch #3 for this card.

December Inspiration for Viva La Verve Sketches were Ornaments. I found this awesome Stained Glass Yellow Butterfly ornament in Etsy which was my inspiration for this card and it also happened to fit the PDCC Color Splash challenge.

Anni-VERVE-sary blog hop

Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! Verve turns three today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from Jess' blog. If not, head on over to Julee's Blog (owner of Verve), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there's a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.

I created a very simple card for my blog using the VERVE Petals and Stems set. I also did this for the VERVE Ready Set stamp challenge - Petals and Stems.

I loved these flowers so much, that I just kept the focus on them. I stamped the butterfly on the main panel, then twice again in black and pink, cut it out and popped it up with glue dots to give it a 3D feeling. I loved this particular stamp set from VERVE and I think it offers a lot of possibilities.

Here is a close up of the butterfly and inside view of the card,

Thanks for hopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Jackie's blog, for a little more Verve-y goodness.

Paper - PTI Bitty Dot Basics Patterned Paper, PTI White, New Leaf and Kraft CS
