Moxie Fab - Shimmer Spray Challenge

Moxie Fab World is having the Stamp It!! Technique Week Challenges. I did this card for the Shimmer Spray Challenge.

I cut out a Tim Holtz Grungeboard with SU Top Note Die and then I used Couple of Shimmer sprays on it (I forgot to write down the names, I will update the post with the names). I let it dry over night and then I stamped it with Tim Holtz Flourish stamp using White Ranger Acrylic Paint. And then I inked the edges using Pearl White Acrylic Paint :). Some Ribbon and Recollections red roses completed the card.

It was fun to play with Shimmer Sprays after such a long time. I am going to try and use them on some scrapbook pages as well. Thanks to Moxie Fab for this Technique Challenge that is making me use my supplies that I had not used in a while.

Here is a close up of the grungeboard, it was hard to get a good picture of the shimmer on it.

Thanks for stopping by,
Supplies:
Stamp - Tim Holtz Flourish Stamp
Paper - Tim Holtz Grungeboard, PTI Pure Poppy CS
Ink - None
Other - Glimmer Spray, Ranger Acrylic Paint, SU Top Note Die, PTI Ribbon, Recollections Rose Accent

Butterfly Wishes

Color Throwdown #115 had this awesome color combination and I knew I wanted to create a card with it. Also Smita had challenged us to make a card using ribbons and no stamps!! She is the guest blogger on Yvonne's blog this wee - This was indeed a big challenge for me as I was not sure what to without stamping and it was kind of fun to think outside the box.

I used the new Tim Holtz Texture Fades Embossing folder for the Plum Pudding CS. I cut out the Butterfly from PTI Butterfly die set using the PTI Bitty Dot Basics Patterned paper.

I have always wanted to try the Layered and Looped ribbon technique that Nichole Heady (from PTI) does and never did. So Smita's challenge was perfect for this card. Here is a Video from Nichole Heady showing this Technique.

I am entering this card for,
1) Color Throwdown #115
 2) Smita's Challenge on Yvonne's Blog - to use Ribbon creatively without any stamping.

3) Annabelle Stamps Blog Challenge - No Patterned Paper

Moxie Fab Bicycle

This is the tag that I made in Tim Holtz Grunge style for the Moxie Fab World - I want to ride my Bicycle challenge.

I had seen Tim Holtz Demo during my recent visit to the Great American Scrapbook Convention at Arlington, TX and was totally into distressing. :) I used the Gina K designs stamp Are we there yet - Designed by Rupa Shevde for this Tag.

I distressed the tag with Distress Ink and then used some of the new Tim Holtz Tissue tape with it. I really loved how this tag turned out.

Supplies:
Stamp - Tim Holtz Clock and Film Strip, GKD Are we there Yet
Ink - Ranger Distress Ink, Ranger Black Archival Ink
Paper - Tim Holtz Tag
Other - Twill Ribbon
