Priceless Club Card

This is a card I made for Club several months ago. Some of my ladies were wanting to know how to do the dry embossing with one of the brass templates. I used the Priceless brass template. The color of this card is unusual for me as I normally go for brighter colors but this soft effect could grow on me. The 3 stamped images on the bottom of the card were stamped and cut out. I stamped them with VersaMark and then embossed with Glassy Glaze Enamel. They are very shiny in real life. They were then put on the card with dimensionals. The Perfect Plum piece of cardstock for the mat piece has been pierced using the mat pack and paper piercer. The word Congrats comes from the Fundamental Phrases set. All supplies are SU!!!

Good Luck Kathy

This is a card for a friend at work that has gotten a great promotion but not at our office. Kathy, we are going to miss your sparkling personality and the way you always make us laugh. We are very happy for you. TFL!!

Simple Elegance

A quick post for tonight as I need to get in bed for work tomorrow. All I did on this card was use patterned paper from the Ginger Blossom designer pack for the background and then just stamped and matted the only 2 stamps from the stamp set, A Light Unto My Path. I added a piece of ribbon and a photo corner punch and I was done. TFL!!

Birdie Cards

I had to get my birdie set out and play with it again. It is really versatile and can serve for several different occasions. Today I needed a birthday card and a card for a friend that just told me she was getting married so here's what I came up with.

I used my Bali Breeze paper on the first card. I came up with a bright card which is unusual for me. Yes, I just lied. I love bright cards and that's what I seem to lean towards most of the time. I used my new Boho Flower punch to add some pizazz to the birdie panel. Then I stamped the birdie on a piece of the pink dotted designer paper and cut it out to paper piece it. I have paper pieced a lot lately. It's a whole lot easier than coloring in the image. I'm not crazy about watercoloring.
On the second card I used my new build-a-brads. I punched out a piece of designer cardstock from the Ginger Blossom to put on the brad and then put the plastic bubble that comes with them on top. The "it's your birthday" sentiment was punched out with the word window punch and then layered on a piece of ruby cardstock that was also punched with the word window punch. TFL!

Boho Fun

These Boho goodies have been so much fun to play with. And most of you know how much I like to make bright cards. I'm really going to miss Pomegranate when it's gone this summer. Every time SU gets their In Color line I don't think I can like the new ones any more than the ones I used previously . But, just like I loved last years and then I liked this years even more, the chances are they are going to knock my socks off again this summer. I can't wait.

Another thing I didn't think I was going to like was the wide ribbon. Have you noticed how much I have been using it lately? Yes, it's scrumptious too.

I used the small flower stamp in One of a Kind to stamp on the edge of the scallop piece with white ink. TFL!!

Stamps: One of a Kind; Paper: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Purely Pomegranate, White, Berry Bliss Designer; Ink: Chocolate Chip, Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa; Accessories: Purely Pomegranate Wide Satin Ribbon, Paper Piercer and Mat Pack, Punches - Slit, Round Tab, Large Oval, Boho Flowers, Brads.

Woohoo!! New Stamps

Did I say I had some new stamps? I finally got my first order in from the new catalog. I couldn't wait to get some ink on this set and cut into the Berry Bliss Designer Paper. Isn't it scrumptious? I also did something I don't usually do. I made 2 cards almost just alike. "My thing" is that I like to do one card and not duplicate it. I used this weeks sketch challenge from SCS and I thought it was a great layout though so I had to make 2.
On the pink card at the top I used my white gel pen on the pink piece that holds the flowers and I used it again on the large oval punch for the sentiment. Everything else is pretty straight forward. TFL!!

Cutie Pie Flowers

It had been a while since I pulled out my Cutie Pie paper and used it. I still love the colors in it. Very pretty for spring, summer, fall or winter. Oh yeah, that's all the time, isn't it? Well it does look good all the time.

I couldn't get the flowers colored exactly like I liked them. I colored them first with my Watercolor Wonder Crayons but the Rose Red flower just looked washed out so I took my Rose Red marker and went over it again. It looks better but I still wasn't quite happy with that particular flower. I put Red Stickles on the Saffron flower and Green Stickles on the Rose flower. In the picture the Geen Stickles look gold but they are not. TFL!!

Stamps: Embrace Life, Wonderful Words; Paper: Purely Pomegranate, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, White, Cutie Pie Designer; Ink: Black Stazon, Basic Black; Accessories: Purely Pomegranate Ribbon, Stickles, Photo Corner Punch, Word Window Punch, Brads, So Saffron and Rose Red Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Rose Red Marker, Dimensionals.

I Love This Set

I am soooo loving this set. I finally opened my Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit and used it with this card for some bright colors. I really thought these colors looked good for Christmas cards but I'm also liking them for Valentine's cards.
I paper pieced the elephant with Certainly Celery Designer Paper. I used my crop-a-dile for the embossing on the bottom blue mat of the striped patterned paper. I haven't done that in a while but it adds a nice touch. The ribbon is some of the Real Red 5/8" grosgrain ribbon that SU started carrying last July. I didn't think I was going to like it either but you know how that goes. You see other people use it then you have to have it. Thanks to all those wonderful ladies that put so many beautiful things on their blogs. TFL!!

Lovely Elephant

This elephant is my favorite stamp out of this set and yes, this is my favorite set right now. My favorite stamp set usually changes on a monthly basis.
I CASED this card from my friend and downline Jamie. See her card here. She brought this card to my house last night during our monthly club meeting and I fell in love with it. The only difference in my card and hers is I changed the colors and punched a scallop border on the Old Olive designer paper. Thanks for the inspiration Jamie.
The elephant is paper pieced with the Fall Flowers designer paper and his toenails have been painted with a white gel pen. As Jamie said last night, it took 2 coats to make his nails pretty. TFL!!
Stamps: Happy Heart Day; Paper: Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, White, Old Olive Designer, Fall Flowers Designer; Ink: Black Stazon, Basic Black; Accessories: Punches - Corner Rounder (for scallop border), Scallop Circle, 1-3/8" Circle, 1-1/4" Circle, 1" Circle, Cameo Coral Grosgrain Ribbon, Watercolor Wonder Crayons in Cameo Coral and Old Olive, Old Olive Marker, Dimensionals, White Gel Pen.

Plant Happiness #2

Another flower card with one of my Stamplajolla.com stamps. I don't know if you can tell from the picture or not but the blue background is stamped with a pretty, lacy vine stamp. It gives the card a nice soft touch. I'm also really liking the border stamp that I put on the cocoa cardstock. The flower is embossed with Glassy Glaze Enamel. This picture just doesn't do this card justice. It's much prettier IRL. TFL!!

Stamps: Radiant Flower, Elegant Vine, Double Border and Sentiment - all from Stamplajolla.com; Paper: Rose Red, Ballet Blue, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, White: Ink: Choc. Chip, Ballet Blue, Timber Brown Stazon; Accessories: Grosgrain Ribbon, Glassy Glaze Enamel, Watercolor Wonder Crayons in Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and Summer Sun.
