Happy 10th Birthday, Taylored Expressions!

Print

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday!

I am excited to participate in a huge blog hop today with more than 40 fellow stampers to celebrate Taylored Expressions 10th Birthday! I had the pleasure of serving on the Taylored Expressions Design Team for several years, and I am so excited to join in today!

There are lots of fun new goodies available at Taylored Expressions, and you can find them all right here! At the heart of Taylored Expressions is a mission to share joy through the gift of handmade cards. As part of their 10th birthday TE is continuing that mission with the launch of a special Share Joy campaign focused on providing birthday cards to those in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities across the U.S. To make as deep an impact as possible TE is inviting card makers everywhere to join the campaign. Will you join us? Find out how to participate by viewing their Share Joy page here: https://tayloredexpressions.com/share-joy

I had lots of fun creating my card! I’ve used the adorable Party Pals Stamp & Die Combo and the Dotted Lattice Embossing Folder! SO fun! I started with a panel of white card stock and sponged on Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink, Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink. I spritzed the panel with water, and when it dried, I embossed the panel using the Dotted Lattice Embossing Folder.

These little cuties were cut from X-Press It Blending Card using the Party Pals Stamp & Die Combo and I then stamped them and colored them with Copic Markers. I popped them up with Dimensional Tape onto a panel of white card stock cut using a circle die. I cut a strip of white card stock and stamped the sentiment, “let’s celebrate YOU!”. I finished off the card with a trio of enamel dots.

Hoppin' With The Baker's Dozen!

Hi everyone!! Happy Wednesday!

Today I am hopping along, and hanging out, with my dear friends, the Taylored Expressions Baker's Dozen as a Guest!  I am excited to share the excitement of their latest release with you, and I have a card today to share with you using the fabulous, previously released Dream Big set!

For my card, I began with Jen's Deconstructed Sketch, DS95, and all of the patterned papers are Seen & Noted from Pebbles.  After arranging my papers, I rounded the corners with the Corner Chomper.

I stamped the sentiment onto a panel of Choice Snow White Cardstock and I cut it out, and layered it, with Oval STAX 1 Die-Namics and Oval STAX 2 Die-Namics.  I stamped the stack of books, and diploma, both from Dream Big, in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored them with Copic Markers, and then popped them up with Foam Tape.

Dream Big will be on sale for 20% off, OR FREE with any order of $100 or more, Thursday through Sunday, while supplies last!

Here are the Copic Markers I've used on my card:

Wish Big!

Hi everyone!! Happy Sunday!

I have a card to share with you today using the super cute Party Monsters set from Taylored Expressions!  I have a serious lack of birthday cards in my stash, so I thought I take some time and bulk up my stash!

Isn't this monster so super cute?  I stamped her (him?) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers.  I added Crystal Stickles to her hat and the balloons.  I cut out the panel, and layered it, with circle dies.

Here is a closeup of this cutie.  All of the patterned papers are Seen & Noted from Pebbles, and I added a border using the Medium Scallop Border Taylored Die.

The sentiment, "Wish Big" is from Many Minis - Occassions and I stamped it onto a panel cut with the Mini Tags Taylored Dies.  All of the panels are popped up with Foam Tape for extra dimension.

A Farewell...

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Today I have some news to share...after a WONDERFUL three years of being on the fabulous Baker's Dozen, the Taylored Expressions Design Team, I have decided to step down from my position.

Life has gotten exceedingly busier both at work, and with my family.  My Meredith, now in 1st grade, has more and more going on with both schoolwork and activities, and my Avery is a ball of energy at 2, so I have had to make the difficult decision to step down to make more time for my family.

I ADORE Taylor and Taylored Expressions, and I thought I'd share some of my favorite Taylored Expressions projects with you today (in no particular order).

I LOVE this Joy stamp from Wings of Joy...it's one of my favorites!

Cuppie was the reason I fell in love with Taylored Expressions originally, and I love this card featuring quite a few Cuppies from Trick or Sweet II.

I LOVE this elephant from Life Is A Circus.  Isn't he so cute?

Boys Will Be Boys will probably always be my go to "guy" set.  It's awesome.

Friendship Blooms, and the coordinating Friendship Blooms Taylored Dies, make creating a card a snap!

I love to color these Oops A Daisy Flowers!

This card may just be my favorite Taylored Expressions card I ever created...this one features Yankee Doodle Homestead.

I fell in love with Discover Your Wings the second Taylor showed it to the team.  I still love it!

I remember when this Cuppie came out...Destination Seattle.  It was right when Eclipse was coming out...kismet I think (grin).

Branching Out was the first set I ever received as part of the Baker's Dozen...I love this set!

I LOVE this frame...I display it every year at Christmas!  This features Holiday Wonder.

A card with coffee...yep, that's SO me!  This card uses Let's Do Coffee!

Halloween. Cuppies.  These things make me happy.  Trick or Sweet is featured on this one.

I had to feature a Moka, and Moka Jane makes me say Giddy Up!

I hope you enjoyed a look at my favorite Taylored Expressions creations!!

This is certainly not goodbye to Taylored Expressions here on my blog...I have WAY to much TE Rubber and Taylored Dies to not give them some love!!!

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank my dear friend Taylor for a FABULOUS 3+ years of being on the Baker's Dozen!!  Even more wonderful than all the stamps and dies was making a friendship that will continue!!  Thanks T...love ya!!!

Thanks SO much for stopping by!

Baker's Dozen December Studio Challenge!

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It's time for the Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge!  Here is this month's question:

Inpsiration is all around us.  Many of us learned to stamp by CASEing other stampers we admired.  (CASE = Copy and Share Everything)  We want everyone to know that, not only is CASEing perfectly OK, it's actually pretty flattering and a lot of fun!  And it can be especially helpful in the midst of the busy holiday season when it's hard to think straight!  So take some inspiration from your fellow Baker's Dozen Teammates, and show us how you can turn any great inspiration into a fabulous holiday card!

I am SO excited (and seriously, intimidated) to case the absolutely FABULOUS Jen Shults.  Sheesh...that girl has mad skillz (grin).  Have you SEEN her coloring?  Color me impressed!!

I headed on over to the Taylored Expressions Gallery and perused Jen's awesome gallery.  I finally decided to case her darling card HERE.  The Taylored Expressions Gallery is a wealth of inspiration!  There is a gallery for all of the Baker's Dozen Team Members (current and alumni) along with a gallery for every single Taylored Expressions stamp set!

I used the same layout, stamp set, and Taylored Dies for embellishments, but changed:

1. The patterned paper;
2. The colors;
3. Added a button to the snowflake; and
4. Drew a frame around the focal image instead of doodling (I can't pull that off...mine just looks messy while hers looks amazing).

So, I started by stamping this sweet trio of snowmen from The Cool Crowd in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock.  I then cut out the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities and while the panel was in the die, traced around the inside with a Copic Multliner to create the frame.

I colored them with Copic Markers and then added Crystal Stickles to certain parts of them, and the ground beneath them.  I added a border cut with the Small Scallop Border Taylored Die along the top of the panel.  All of the patterned papers are Homemade 6 Bean Soup from Jillibean Soup.

I added a larger border along the bottom part of the top patterned paper panel using the Medium Scallop Border Taylored Die.  The snowflake was cut using the awesome  Make A Snowflake Taylored Dies and I added some twine and topped it off with a button.  All of the layers were sponged with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink (except for the Buttercream layers) and were popped up with Foam Tape for lots of dimension.

Here are the Copic Markers I've used on my card:

Here are the Taylored Dies I've used on my card:

Check out what the rest of the team has created by case-ing one another today here:

Thank You {December SFYTT}!

Hi everyone!!  Happy Saturday!

I am back with another card using the fabulous December SFYTT!  Here is another look at this month's sketch:

This month, the SFYTT is sponsored by the one and only Splitcoaststampers...my home away from home!

My card today features stamps from one of my favorite stamp companies who just happen to be a Member Company on SCS, Taylored Expressions!

I used the super cute Oh What A Day set from Taylored Expressions for my card today, and I started by stamping these happy flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Snow White Cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers.  I added some Crystal Stickles to them to make them shine.  I cut out the panel, and layered it, using circle dies and separated the two panels with Foam Tape.

All of the patterned papers are Walnut Grove from Pebbles, which I really love.   I sponged the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.   I embossed the background with the Seeing Spots Embossing Folder.  Here is a closeup of these happy flowers!

Here are the Copic Markers I've used on my card:

Please head on over and check out what my fabulous SFYTT Sisters have created today right here:
