Hanging out with some friends at a stampin party, my friend asked me to install her decor elements. Are you kidding??? I had more fun then they did (but don't tell anyone).

Need an opinion

Is a sparkly blue "c" good for a little boy album? I say YES!!!

I had a girlfriend pop in with her decor element and she REALLY wanted to put the decor element on her album like I did in the previous tutorial. I just added craft ink with a dauber, I used heat and stick, a paintbrush, and then chunky glitter.

What do you think??

How to color your decor elements - A tutorial.

Before I left, I posted an album to my blog using the individual home decor letters on the front of SU!'s linen albums.
Stampin' Up! asked me for more info on how I did it, if the letters lifted and more. So, I decided to do a tutorial on How to use the decor elements, and more exciting how to COLOR them AND make them SPARKLE!!!

My Truck

Happy Sunday!

Well, some of you know that I got a new truck to tow the camper. My husband drives over 110 miles a day, so I'm driving the gas guzzler... It's a used truck, but it only had 16K miles on it when we purchased it.

One of my girlfriends took a look at my graphics and said "your husband is not going to want to drive it now, it's really girly." I'm not sure about all that, but I LOVE driving the truck. I'm not sure that I would want to go back to my old ~ low to the ground ~ car.

So, I just had to share.. I'm loving the flourishes.

Hugs,
Selene

Fun With Decor Elements!

I had another bunch here this evening for the Fresh Cut's stamp a stack and we had a lot of fun! I realized a short time in, that everyone was busy working and I had some free time on my hands. I just added a decor elements letter on the wall and I had an extra. So ~ it was time to play.

As many of you know, you can color our regular rubons with blender pens and pastels, so I got to thinking... I wonder if the decor elements can be colored???

The answer is YES~ This album, I applied a lower case "d", and used regal rose craft ink and sponge daubers to color the letter.
Then I applied heat and stick powder to it, and used a paint brush to remove excess powder from my album.
Heat it once with the heat gun to make it sticky, apply glitter (I used the chunky essentials glitter). and re~heat it to set it. Just AWESOME!

Stampin Space Revisited!

I had even MORE fun with the Decor Elements last night while my family slept!
Here is the definition to the word "create" up on my stamp wall. it is right above my tools.
This is a pretty cool tool area. It's a fairly new addition to my stamp room. Only two trips to Ikea, and I basically own the whole store!
It's so nice to be able to put my hand on exactly what I need. AND NOW, I have a little inspiration on the wall right in front of me!
Here is a close up of "create" and a photo of another piece I put in my restroom, to accentuate the one I put in the kitchen. I think this is just fabulous! I can see I'm going to have a LOT of fun with this new product ~ now I need to place another order!

More Decor Elements!

My Daughter was so excited last night when we put the vinyl on her wall.
That flower light is from ikea, it's a night light for her room. She was dancing around saying, "I love my name on my wall!" She's 3 and full of spunk! Please tell me what you think!
I think that it's fabulous! I can't wait to see what else Stampin' Up! has coming down the line!

Got my Decor Elements today!

How Psyched am I??

Well, I received the package at 3pm and I've already completed one project. I can't imagine I'll ever want to take the flourishes down. They are perfect for this frame and wall behind the frame.
I can only say that I'm shocked at how easy these are to apply, and I can see that if I ever DID want to remove the flourishes, that it wouldn't harm my wall at all!

I just had to share these photos and there will be MANY more to come. I think there's a trend starting!
What a great way to make this picture stand out a bit and add that "home like" feel that I wanted when I hung this picture. This picture is very special. It came from my aunt who lives in London and it was a wedding gift. Adding the flourishes really makes it special in this corner of my kitchen. I have recessed lighting and there is a light that shines on it. It looks AWESOME! Please let me know what you think!
This second photograph is a close up of the wall where I was able to overlap the images. SO SIMPLE! I'm addicted!
Finally, I wanted to show that I also applied it to the glass. It seems like adding the "flower image" to the glass really ties the flourish together. It's not just the flourish, and a picture. It makes it more of one thing. Am I making sense? Probably not, but I LOVE IT!! I just wanted to share.
