Hello, Dear Friend

Today kicks off the Hope You Can Cling To card drive to benefit those affected by breast cancer over on SplitCoastStampers.  I made this card for the first challenge which was Show Me What You're Made Of.  I used two stamp sets from The Craft's Meow (Beautiful Spring and Sew Lovely) since they are a Pink Ribbon Sponsor for the SCS event and combined it with the October Sketch Challenge...I thought how fitting!

Be sure to check out the CardMaker blog as I have a post over there today...the theme??? Scraps!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

NinaB Designs Blog Hop

Hello, friends! After a much needed summer break, the NinaB Designs team is back to showcase some of Nina's designs for our monthly hop. Make sure you check out the new Summer CHA Releases by SpellbindersWant2Scrap and Penny Black, and her monthly release by The Craft's Meow. For this month's hop, Nina challenged us to create something with gift-giving in mind. Here is my project:

I made some Lemon-Poppy Seed Zucchini Bread and using stamps/dies packaged it for gift giving.  I used the leaves from Foliage Fancy (a stamp set illustrated by Nina for Penny Black) and combined it with a sentiment from Sew Lovely (The Craft's Meow).  The tag was made using Spellbinders dies: Home Sweet Home.

Here are the products I used for my project:

Sew, What's New?

Hey there!  Can you believe the summer is winding down...and fast?!?!?

Today I have a card to share made using the Swiss Dots stencil from The Crafter's Workshop and stamps from The Craft's Meow.  Using the Swiss Dots stencil and distress stains, I created a fun background for the center panel from the TCM sketch.  For my sewing themed card, I used Sew Lovely and Sew Happy and anchored it with the labels stamp from Lovely Labels 18 (also with polka dots).  The cute pin cushion was die cut using one of the Spellbinders Sewing Elements dies, which coordinate perfectly with the stamp set Sew Happy

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hello, Dear Friend

Hello!  Today I have a card to share that I made for the June sketch challenge over on The Craft's Meow blog.  The sentiment it from Sew Lovely and the butterfly is from a Layers of Color stamp set.  I used Teresa Collins Sweet Afternoon  patterned paper and added a bit of Want2Scrap bling.
I know I have something exciting to share pretty soon....but can't just yet, sigh....very soon though!  The parental units (LOVE them) are in town so off to spend a fun day with them until some baseball games for the boys tonight.   Here is a pic I had to share of my little guy sliding into home...keep in mind this is T-Ball and NO ONE is trying to get him out.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

NinaB Designs Blog Hop

Welcome to another NinaB Designs blog hop. The NBD team and I have something exciting for you today. We were challenged to create something that uses the NinaB Designs Spellbinders die cuts from non-paper products on our projects. Did you know that Spellbinders dies can cut all kinds of material? Kim Hupke, the Educational Director of Spellbinders Paper Arts did a video showing all types of products you can cut with the dies that you can find HERE. For my project today, I die cut a piece of canvas using the sewing machine die from Sewing Elements with NinaB Designs' dies.

I also used the clear stamp set Sew Lovely from The Craft's Meow, as well as Vintage Backgrounds for the polka dots.  I die cut the sewing machine using sticky back cancas and gently sponged it with Memento Toffee Crunch ink.   I added some corrugated card stock and lace that I sponged with Rose Bud ink.
Here are the dies I used:

Here are the prizes to be won.
Winners will be picked randomly from 5 of the designers' blogs:
Everybody is welcome to comment and eligible to win. Nina will announce the winners on May 22 and have 4 days to claim their prize. Please consider liking the following Facebook pages that are represented on today's hop, so you don't miss the latest news and happenings:

Sew Lovely and a new challenge blog!

There is a new challenge in "blogland" called Crafty Friends Challenges.  It is hosted by Beate and friends and I know (I for one.... of many stamping peeps) am bookmarking...and hint hint, there are some vintage paper crafting goodies being raffled off.

For my card, I used Sew Lovely and nothing helps me do vintage quite like Webster's Pages patterned paper.  The dress from is a die set from NinaB Designs for Spellbinders called Sewing Elements.  I added some distressing, lace and Want2Scrap bling.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

Exciting News!!!

I am beyond excited to share some wonderful news that I have been sitting on for quite some time....I am on Nina B. Designs new Design Team!!!  If you have been a follower for long, you know that I love Nina's style of illustration and have been a fan of Nina's stamp designs for years.  I was blessed to meet her in 2011 at CHA and to call her friend.  Obviously when she asked if I would join her new design team, I jumped at the unique opportunity.  I am excited to see what the future will bring as this is a new door that the Lord has opened.

I am so honored to be a part of this fabulous design team and amazed to be included with such a talented group of ladies.  Thank you Nina for this opportunity!

Today I have a card to share that I made with her stamp set Sew Lovely from The Craft's Meow:

I used my Scor-Pal to create a grid and was inspired for the colors by the Clearsnap  Sweet Pin Challenge.  I used Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink in Blackberry, Orchid Pastel and Lime Pastel.  Funny thing is...the photo corner piece is strategically placed as I had a slight smudge that was driving me nuts and gave an opportunity to improvise. Love those moments...not the smudge part, but when I can cover it up!

Tomorrow we are having a fun official first hop for Nina B. Designs and hope you will pop back in!!!  I can't wait to share what I have been working on...in fact...need to go finish!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,
