TCM Friendship Blog Hop

Hello friends!  Today the The Craft's Meow DT is having a blog hop to share projects created with the theme of friendship!
I used the stamp set In Tandem:
The background was stenciled and I stamped the image and sentiments using Versafine Oynx Black and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I had a slight smudge at the top added some Want2Scrap Swirls bling.

Here is the stamp I used:

Your next stop is the creative Jennifer Cuthbertson!!

SNSS August Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps August release blog hop!  All of the August releases are available right here. Hope you can join us over on in the SNSS forum on SCS for the party as well as a fabulous set of challenges throughout the day!
The first card I have to share with you today is Leaf Silhouettes

I stamped the leaves using Morocco, Olive Grove, and Peanut Brittle Memento ink.  Then I spritzed it with some Rich Cocoa Fireworks spray.  The sentiment was stamped and die cut with a Spellbinders die and attached with some baker's twine.

And here is one using Tree Background:

I stamped the tree image with Versafine Vintage Sepia and embossed with clear embossing powder. I created the moon by masking (using a sticky note that I punched with a circle punch and used as a mask with Versamark and clear embossing powder).   Then I sponged liberally with distress inks and stamped the sentiment from Leaf Silhouettes.

Hope you can join us for our Virtual Stamp Day over on SCS.  There will be 3 winners from the challenges who will each win a $20 credit to the store.

Also, be sure to hop along today as one random commenter on a random DT member's blog will win two sets of their choice from the release
(must comment by 8:00 PM EST today)

Jennie Harper * you are here

Next stop on the hop...Korin!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Layers of Color ~ Tea Party Blog Hop

Welcome to Layers of Color Tea Party Blog Hop!

This blog hop starts at Layers of Color blog. If you came from Janice's blog, you are in the right place, if not, please start at the beginning to get the most out of this fun blog hop!
Layers of Color design team is having this blog hop in celebration of the release of Spellbinders newest die templates, Decorative Dress Forms, (designed by Nina Brackett and Laura Campbell) and Nested Tea Cups, (designed by Laura Campbell)! Layers of Color will be offering both these new dies February 1, 2012, or you can purchase them now through Crafters Home participating stores.
Welcome! Come on in and join us for a spot of tea and enjoy these tasty treats for the eyes!

My mother, daughter and I share a love of a hot cup of tea...and must say my daughter has learned from her grandma perfectly!  She makes the best cup of tea.  My current favorite is a London Fog, nothing better at the end of a long day.  I made a card using Dotted Dahlias and the Nested Tea Cups to create a card and altered a Twinings Earl Grey tin cansister.  Here is a card I made:
And the inside:

The sentiment is from Teacup Blessings.
It just seemed right to have a matching tin and would make a great little gift for a tea.

Thank you for spending this lovely time together with us today! What a joy to be here with you! Please help yourself to these lovely tea-inspired FREE TEMPLATES exclusively from Layers of Color!...
Paper Tea Cup and Saucer, designed by Laura Kirste Campbell

Layers of Color has wonderful tea-inspired art stamps to go with your tea cup projects! You may need sweet sentiments and verses, a spoonful of honey with Teacup Blessings, and of course some flowers, lace doilies to decorate the table! We'd love to see what you do with these unique templates and art stamps! Please share your delicious creations on Layers of Color Facebook page!
Come on friends, let's continue hopping to all the talented designer blogs to see what they have brewed up for us!...

Quite a Catch Blog Hop

I am so excited about sharing my project for the Quite a Catch Blog Hop tonight! When I saw the stamp set Quite a Catch, I knew that one of the first things I wanted to make was a Diorama Card. Mine is a little taller than what the measurements are on this Diorama Card Tutorial (by Diana Gibbs). I think this is just the cutest stamp set ever and had the hardest time figuring out which one to feature...so chose two! :o) I also used some stamps from Gifts From the Sea and the the waves and sun from Oh Boy!

Here is a close-up of an inside angle.

Diorama Cards are VERY easy to make and I didn't use the standard circle punches that is in the actual tutorial, but used the Big Scallop Rectangle sets (small and large) to create my window. If you make one...I would love to see it so be sure and leave me a link so I can check it out!

For more inspiration, visit these designer's blogs tonight for even more samples with the Quite a Catch stamp set:

Melanie's Blog Hop

Melanie Muenchinger is celebrating two years of blogging and illustrating for Gina K Designs, and today she has invited 25 designers and YOU to join the party!

I still remember the email from Melanie in July asking me to be her Guest Designer for Inspiration Mosaic (and yes, I still have it saved in my email files...) I am so excited to participate with this creative group and MADE time to get crafty with this fabulous set Inspiration Mosaic! With all of the holiday cardmaking, I hadn't used it in several weeks and went overboard...I made THREE cards (can you tell Linda is rubbing off on me??? LOL!)

This one just uses Inspiration Mosaic to show how all alone it is a GREAT set with so many possibilities! I simply stamped the grid on Fancy Pants Designs patterned paper and using my SAMJ stamped the sentiments, easy-peasy!

With this one I combined it with My Cuppa' Joe and some fun patterned paper.

And for this final one, I used some rub-on stiches to create a stitched background on my Mosaic and combined it with Melanie's Wee Tees stamp set.

So how does this involve you and some prizes????
First hop through the following designers' blogs using every set she has created since January 2008, from the first to the 25th! Then go to Melanie's' blog to leave a comment for a chance to win a number of different prizes! So let's get hopping!

Calendar Bits and Pieces Blog Hop

In October, I received an email from Tami Mayberry asking if I would be her guest designer for her next stamp set... What other answer is there than..."Eeeks, I would LOVE to!" Her first set Special Delivery is a favorite of mine and I knew whatever she had up her sleeve would be wonderful so of course I wanted in on it! She has outdone herself with Calendar Bits and Pieces. and Calendar Grid (which you can also get the grid in a digital form if you prefer). Not only is this set perfect for calendars, but cards, scrapbook pages, altered art... you name it, it fits! Some dear friends recently had a party celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary and I just knew this set would be perfect! Little did I know that the calendar layout for the month of November was the same in 1959 as 2009...How cool is that!?! I wanted to commemorate their years together with my design so this is what I came up with...

I so enjoyed making this card and am thrilled with the result...(I don't mean to sound prideful, it just came out better than I envisioned). :o) I even worked in some images from Timeless Treasures and Good as Gold cardstock for their Golden Anniversary! I made a little gift card holder using the Labels One Nesties for a fun treat for the happy couple!

For more inspiration, please visit Calendar Bits and Pieces' illustrator, Tami Mayberry, then to the following Blog Hop Participants from the GinaK Designs team:

CCS Blog Hop=Blog Candy!!!

I am so excited for our second Creative Clear Stamps Blog Hop and this one is focused on the versatile Sentiment Singles line. Each member of the Design Team will be showcasing a different sentiment and giving a new one away to a lucky commenter!

I made both of these cards using the Sentiment Single Nappy Hour from Creative Clear Stamps. I think this is just the cutest sentiment and while some may enjoy a nap themselves....I enjoy the quiet bit of time I get when my youngest (who is 19 months old) takes a nap! That is what I call "my time"...I can read, clean the house, fold laundry, but what do I do a majority of the time, yep, STAMP! :o) All those other things will be there when he wakes up, hee~hee.

For this card I embossed a piece of Basic Grey Lemonade designer paper with the Herringbone folder.  I love the distressed look it gives to the thinner paper.  I then sponged over it with Pretty in Pink to really accentuate the distressing.  These cards also fit perfectly with the Creative Button Challenge this week, how cool is that? :o)

You can win a Creative Clear Stamps Sentiment Single of your own if you sign up to be a Follower on the CCS Blog (if you aren't already) and be sure to check in on these Design Team Members and leave a comment. Each member of the CCS Design Team is giving away a brand new Sentiment Single that is used on their post today!!! So there are 5 chances to WIN!!!! Hopping our blogs will also give you a chance to win a Blog Hop Badge, which helps earn your way into the January Guest Designer Spot!

Rebecca

I will announce the winner tomorrow evening and can't wait to see what you create with your own Creative Clear Stamps!
