"We are uniquely situated because we have energy resources, fossil and otherwise, and our own independent electrical grid. Generally speaking, we have made great progress in becoming an independent nation, an ‘island nation’ if you will, and I think we want to continue down that path so that if the rest of the country falls apart, Texas can operate as a stand-alone entity with energy, food, water and roads as if we were a closed-loop system."Idiot Mouth is the Texas Railroad Commission Chairman and running for Attorney General of Texas. If he thinks they can be independent from America, go ahead, try it.

My Reasons on Why Folks are Seceding from America
This secession foolishness is very telling of the folks in our country. These fools are signing up big time in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and North Carolina.
The reasons they claim are lies. I'm going to lay out their reasons, their true reasons.
- They think the government is too big. Well, if they were that concerned, they wouldn't be voting for Romney or Ryan. They were supporting big government!
- They are scared of the colored people! These folks are mostly bigots who want to keep people of color down. Seeing Obama re-election scared the hate in them and they realized that times are changing.
- Educated folks are taking over. More people are going to college and getting decent jobs. For some of these people, education is for snobs. Remember, Santorum's 'Obama's a Snob' statement? Well, they believe that mess and fear an educated mind.
- The President is Black.
- They want to be free bigots! They don't want to be told they're wrong for hating people of color and LGBT folks. They want to be with their own kind.
- They realized that many people are not super-religious. So the snake in the apple tree story doesn't have the same effect anymore.
- The men are afraid of women being independent, and these women enjoy being in the shadow of their men.
- Oh, the President is Black.

Foolishness Alert: Citizens from 15 States have filed petitions to Secede from America
Over the weekend, folks from 15 States have asked for a peaceful withdrawal from the United States in order to start their own government.
These states are Louisiana, Texas, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Colorado, Oregon and New York.
They filed the petitions a few days after the 2012 presidential election.
Check it out:
The government allows one month from the day the petition is submitted to obtain 25,000 signatures in order for the Obama administration to consider the request.
The Texas petition reads as follows:
The US continues to suffer economic difficulties stemming from the federal government’s neglect to reform domestic and foreign spending. The citizens of the US suffer from blatant abuses of their rights such as the NDAA, the TSA, etc. Given that the state of Texas maintains a balanced budget and is the 15th largest economy in the world, it is practically feasible for Texas to withdraw from the union, and to do so would protect it’s citizens’ standard of living and re-secure their rights and liberties in accordance with the original ideas and beliefs of our founding fathers which are no longer being reflected by the federal government.
As of 12:46 am, Sunday, signatures obtained by Louisiana, 7,358; Texas, 3,771; Florida, 636; Georgia, 475; Alabama, 834; North Carolina, 792; Kentucky, 467; Mississippi, 475; Indiana, 449; North Dakota, 162; Montana, 440; Colorado, 324; Oregon, 328; New Jersey, 301 and New York, 169. Many more States are expected to follow. Are people that gottdamn dumb? I can't believe this mess!

Rick Perry Ain't Ready
After getting up on his pedestal and talking about seceding the US, Gov. Perry realizes the reality.
Gov. Rick Perry today in a precautionary measure requested the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provide 37,430 courses of antiviral medications from the Strategic National Stockpile to Texas to prevent the spread of swine flu. [...]
"As a precautionary measure, I have requested that medication be on hand in Texas to help curb the spread of swine flu by helping those with both confirmed and suspected cases of this swine flu virus, as well as healthcare providers who may have come in contact with these patients," said Gov. Rick Perry. "We will continue to work with our local, state and federal health officials to ensure public safety is protected."
Uh Huh, see Texas...All talk and no walk. He needs the government, hell, Texas needs the government. Without any assistance, Texas would be a wasteland. I knew Gov. Perry was just huffing and puffing.
So folks, take heed...Texas won't Secede.

Question of the Day...Texas style
So, Texas may want to leave the Union. I don't know if you heard, but during the Tea Bag Flea Market folks in Texas were screaming "Secede!" to dumbass, Gov. Rick Perry.
So my question is...If we let Texas become their own country, what would happen?
